So a Mando and a Force Wielder Walk into a ship!

Space travel always intrigued Char-Li, the stars passing by him and the distance between him and the panets were breath taking. He couldn't help but smile at the cockpitt's window as he stared off at the distant planets and starts fill his view and his body with happiness.

"It's beautiful," he muttered softly behind his helmet, a small grin filling his cheeks and curving his lips upward as he stared into the void with his polarized visor.

Char-Li always loved moments like these and even had bits of thoughts like, 'What would it be like to share this with a special partner?' Who knew, he didn't and wouldn't but it is what it is. Long way to their destination.

"How far until we arrive, Vassara?"

Destination being relative Vassara was not entirely sure. The two of them had partaken in a little hyperspace travel beyond the boundaries of the Unknown Regions. They were in deep space now, no back up. Using only a set of coordinates Vassara had felt out, using pure gut instinct they were on their way to god knows where.

This would be as good a time as any to get to know here new Co-pilot she supposed. Vassara leaned back in the captains chair, gripping her mug of stimcaf and smiled. Space was so nice. Burning blue eyes pierced like icy daggers from beneath black tressess, combing the panels for alerts or anything else.

Jumping on instinct after all was never perfect.

"I'm not really sure Char."

She took another sip of her stim caf.

"So tell me about yourself anyways. Where did you come from. What have you done?"

Char-Li nodded before sliding his helmet off and letting the space take him away. But her question of his past was what bugged him "I'm-- I'm not entirely sure, actually. What's real and what isn't. I remember many of men then none. It's just very confusing, but other than train with my father to become the Mandalorian I am now, well, I just took up any odd job I could find. Assassination being the most popular."

This was true and yet he somewhat regretted it.

"It's one of my best job success rates too. I tend to have better luck with that than anything else, smuggling coming to a second."

Vassara nodded. An assassin eh? Well she learned new things every day. Vassara had done her share of killing, multiple times in multiple places. Instead of passing judgement like the pathetic Jedi of the Republic she smirked. When he mentioned smuggling that’s when her right eyebrow peaked up and she gave him a side long glance.

"Smuggling eh? What's your best run?" She asked, voice buzzing with excitement.

Char-Li chuckled softly, scratching his head before tilting his head. "There was this little thing I had to do for a Zabrak girl and smuggling her family back into Dathomir from Imperial Remnant Cruisers. I ended up getting down to Dathomir but having to be stranded after crash landing and taking the Zabraks to their homes. Which reminds me of an old friend I should contact some time soon."

Char-Li was sentimental like that, always finding a way to stay in touch with people he cares about.

Vassara nodded. Old friends were nice to have. She had a lot of them herself scattered across the galaxy. The days of the fleet had been quite the bonding experience. the young man was still largely unknown to her though. She sipped her stim caf some more, letting the delicious nutty flavor run across her palette and stretched her arms.

"So why aren’t you sure where your from? got mind wiped or something?"

Char-Li chuckled softly before shaking his head and sighing. He wasn't telling the entire truth, which was normal for the 600 something year old, cyronic slept clone from the past. There was a small pained look on his face before quickly dissipating.

"Nothing like that, just been around a lot."

There seemed more to Luzerei than met the eye. Vassara could sense a certain trepidation in him, coming off like rippling waves in the force. She went for another sip of stim caf and rose, retreating to the galley for a second. When she returned she set a steaming mug of the caf down in front of Luzerei and nodded.

"Have some, it's really good. Found a couple bags of it on Fondor, Courtesy of the Omega Starcorp. Supposed to be the finest in the galaxy!"

Vassara sat down again, giving the controls a quick glance. This was going to be a long trip. Given that she didn't know where they were going it was an odd thought. The thing was, she could feel it, deep in her gut.

"Alright so explain, been around a lot. I've been around a lot. Lead expeditions into deep space, stood toe to toe with the Sith. Stolen, cheated and saved folks all the same."

Char-Li chuckled softly before nodding, "I will, thank you," he says as he took in it's taste. Normally he'd refuse any sort of drinks from someone he had met just recently, but he trusted her. The taste didn't hit char-Li until a few seconds of the liquid in his mouth, he felt it against his tongue, a sort of thick liquid with a smooth finish.

"Hmm," he said as he swallowed it full, "Delicious, actually," he said with a grin.

Char-Li didn't want to explain, evident in how he tensed up a bit with Vassara wanting to know his past. He shook his head, "I take jobs to go place to place, I've done so many jobs that I'm not really sure where I was from. I was probably born in Mandalore, I've actually known Mando'a all my life too."

"Alright then. So you are a mando."

It was more of a statement than a fact. Vassara kept sipping away on her stimcaf, trying to get a good caffeine buzz going. The journey so far had taken some time but she had a feeling they were getting closer and closer to their respective destinations. Oh yes they were well past the boundaries of the systems. Off the edge of the map you could say. Here be dragons.

"You know, I'm interested to see where this jump takes us."

She closed her eyes, letting the force flow through her as her mind went ever silent.

"I think we're almost there."

"I am too. So you're a force wielder, right? Jedi I'm guessin'? How'd you find out you were a force user?"

These were questions now directed a bit specifically targeted to her past. It was a way of getting to know her as well as to gauge her abilities as a force user. She was powerful, beautiful, and smart; it'd play to Char-Li's advantage to know her if she were to turn on him or whatever. Jedi and Sith weren't too accustomed to him nor was he to the two. Lots of planning will have to be made.

"What about your Saber abilities? Training must've been difficult if you were alone."

Vassara smirked and coughed a little when he mentioned Saber abilities.

"Almost non existant. I grew up as freighter pilot, then during the war the One Sith destroyed my home planet, Alderaan. When it fell the Vong reshaped everything, killed a lot of people, my family included."

Yes it was all coming out now, like a flood gate.

"So naturally being in the freighter business, I just kind of took off when I found out they had taken the planet. It was all a mess, bodies everywhere, broken ships floating in orbit. There was no escaping if you went back."

Vassara paused now. She declined to mention her time in the Void, off the map. How she had gone mad with rage and anguish. Been driven to the edge by the quiet nothingness of space. Mo interactions for almost a year.

"Went on to become a free lancer. Realized I had a gift when I could outfly almost everyone, and find my way to wherever without even really knowing it. Never had a master, just a mentor who gave me a saber and a Datacron. Started a Fleet that explored the frontiers, worked with the Underground, all that stuff. Never had time to master more than Form I, the very basic fundamentals."

Vassara leaned back, retrieving her shotgun form the corner and checking to make sure it was empty.

She tossed it to Char-Li.

"This bad boy has been all I needed. Use my saber as a last resort and most of my powers are unique, rare and dont have any combat applications, save a few."

Vassara sipped her stim caf again.

"So now your turn elusive man. Spill it. I can sense you’re holding out on me."

Char-Li has listened to the woman's story rather intently, taking in her story before abruptly taking up the shotgun before examining it carefully. His fingers danced along bits of the shotgun, avoiding the trigger for obvious reason. He loved blasters, but his favorite were based around the Clone Wars era, which were very hard to come by. Westar-34's, DC-15s', all of them were sexy.

"Me? What do you need to know about me? I'm just a simple man trying to find a job, which I think I might've found now. Lonely, non-married, soldier with a somewhat overly developed trigger finger."

[member="Char-Li Luzerei"]

Vassara smiled. Yep he was the soldier type alright. Which was good because she had a good place for him besides just running guns with the Underground. But first she had to take him out, show him her 'verse as it was. The hyperspace jump that was blind, the mission that came after. Guns, chaos, screaming demons of the stars.

Yes it was all well and good. Just how Vassara liked it, chaos.

"Y'know why I use a Shotgun Char-Li?"

"You're either into up close and personal kills or would rather not aim when you fire," he said simply before chuckle, shaking his head, "I prefer quality over quantity, plus my Westars fire of faster than a shotty in most cases that is."

He chuckled softly before shaking his head, sighing softly before relaxing into the seat of his. His eyes closed softly before yawning. He wasn't disinterested, just pretty tired right now. Exhaustion hit a lot, well, not alot but most times.

Vassara smirked again. It was a good guess, but Luzerei didn't know just that well yet. The shotgun was special tool for a special purpose. And she'd been developing the skill so when the time came, they would serve her well. Both eyebrows shot up and she grinned, crazy eyes peering into his as she sipped her caf.

"Nope, good guess though. I use it because putting a wide spraying series of rounds into a Sith is mighty satisfying. I like to watch them squirm and dance trying to get away, cuz the 'verse knows, you cant block scattershot with a lightsaber."

Vassara gave his weapons a little nod.

"Yours though, might just get you a stray bolt deflected into your face. Some food for thought."

"Huh, never thought of it that way. I've always thought that movement could avoid that. I mean, I've essentially mimicked the Fett's style," he muttered, beginning to think rather carefully. Char-Li took a small breath before exhaling and tilted his head before shaking it, "But I couldn't handle the lack of speed, that's why I'm thinking about a repeating blaster but I could never part with my DC-15s."

That was true, he was maybe a little overly sentimental for weapons and such.

"Have any suggestions about those? Maybe a shotgun with less kick to it?"

[member="Vassara Raxis"]

[member="Char-Li Luzerei"]

Vassara paused and then nodded.

"Yep I actually built one or two that are specifically for use against forcers. You'll want to look into my storefront on Tatooine. I have what’s called the Smugglers shotgun. Packs a punch, but is short and has a concussion rifle on the bottom. All sawed off for easy manuevering. Also Czerka, now BrownCoat Arms makes some nice weapons. I like ArmaTech too."

Vassara sipped her stim caf again. So he was a speedy shooter? That was always a good trait. Especially these days. The ship began to ring and Vassara's eyes moved over the pannels once more. Looks like they were dropping out of hyperspace.

"Ok we're here, wherever here is. Prepare to revert to realspace!"

Char-Li considered replying to the shotgun but then readied himself. He flipped a few switches, turning on the magnetic locks, reverse engines, and main thrusters. A few red buttons, two switches, and a knob before nodding. This was something he was familiar with, ships similar to these at least. A small glint in his eyes shined as he admired the controls and the reactions the ship gave in response to the various changes in it's operations.

"Ready, jumping into Realspace now."

He felt the ship jolt a bit, the space in front of him becoming no longer a blurb but now showing a planet in front of him.

"Endor? Why Endor?"

[member="Vassara Raxis"]

[member="Char-Li Luzerei"]

For a moment Vassara stared listlessly into space. So it was Endor they had headed to. Very strange. She didn't feel anything in particular drawing her down to the planet. No great sense of urgency came over her, no visions from her Nightsister possessor. There didn't seem to be much in the way of the planet. Just a green ball of forest, once owned by the Fringe Confederacy.

"Alright that's odd but ok. We are where the force intended us to be. Wanna take us down?"

Vassara began to open her captains log, scribbling a quick note in there. Yes she still used paper and stylus. With so many slicers these days hard copies guaranteed safety.
