- Good Contender: The Ship has overall, superb ability in its defenses, offensive measures, Speed, and Maneuverability. Being a Jack of all kind of ship with better overall comparable to other ships of it's size.
- Forward Facing: All of the offensive based weaponry is forward facing, other than that of the orbital bombardment tools.
- Smart Shard: Housing a Shard within the mainframe of the ship, allows for the shard to act as the ships, pilot, Co-pilot, Navigator, Gunners, and Repair crew all at once. Meaning less work for other pilots, and allows them to focus on more pressing matters.
- Forward Facing: With the offensive based weaponry being in specified directions of Forward facing for the canons, and downward facing for orbital bombardment tools. This leaves wide open sides, and rear to which weapons can have a greater effect in damaging and destroying the ship.
- No Backup: The only form of a hull is a large ramp that can allow speeders, or a medical air speeder out from the hangar of the ship. Otherwise, nothing else is able to be used as backup, or other squadrons of ships for any fleeting based battles.
Much like a bicycle built for two, The Winfrey was built for Darren. Mostly as his home away from Eshan. A moving transportation ship that can act as an exploration vessel in a pinch. Set up with multiple floors, various rooms such as an Armory with Firing range, Meditation Room, Personal quarters, Crew Quarters, Mess hall, Three Bathrooms, Seven Walk in closets, Training rooms, Recreational Room, Medical Bay, Central Room, Cargo Bay with Medical Airspeeder, and more.
This ship was built to be a literal home for people, mainly Darren. Thus it comes with all of the additions to what would be added for a home or a flying place in which people can meet up and travel together. Coming with a couple weapons to aid in ground operations if needed, such as orbital bombardment weapons for ground units, medical air speeder, and Point Defense guns to allow the ship to enter hostile territory, get what they need, then get out. Including a Null-Projector. An extremely rare weapon that can possibly stun an entire crew of an opposing ship to allow boarding processes, or to simply run away from a fight if over extended.
However, one of the most notable additions to the ship, is that of a Shard housed within. Taken from its natural homeworld, "collected" in a sense. Darren at first was going to use it simply as a replacement AI system. Having it work to his desires and wills. However, when contacting the Shard, having no name at first, and even finding the prospect of having an entire ship as a body interesting, It accepted with the caviate that it be allowed to keep its sentience and allowed to operate the ship. It could gather knowledge and learn what to do much more easily than that of any pilot, and perform all the tasks that a Pilot and crew wish they could do, with reaction times, and speeds that rivaled the best of the best. This is all mostly due to not having a body, being tapped into all of the systems within the ship, and given full control by Darren.
Secondly, the Shard had to be given a name, one that matched with the ship. An easy one that the shard came up by itself, was "Winfrey" In some cases Darren has referred to "her" as "Win," "Winny," or "Frey" for short. However, most of these names tend to not be on the good side of Winfrey's thoughts. She chose that name to be her own, and people aren't using it to the fullest extent. However, she deals with it most of the time.
In past instances of Pirates attacking, Winfrey has performed actions that went against the judgement of Darren, and came out alright. Reason being as a Ship, she may feel more comfortable performing some actions on her own, or just simply knows better than Darren for space flight, and fighting situations. While Darren has performed a couple Dogfights in his days, he hasn't used a vessel to this size for her personal stuff. However, just don't give Darren any looks when he literally starts arguing with a ship's mainframe. Its better to just not ask and accept it.
