Sniffing out the Sniffer

"Set it down here." The first words Zarro had spoken since the pre-mission briefing. It wasn't that he was in a sour mood or the like, he simply had nothing to say until now. "On it sir." Within moments,t he ship set down on the surface of Shri-tal. The ride there had been slightly eventful when they passed through the nebula, but otherwise, there were little to no complications. "Alright, you all know your jobs. Get your things and get out, I'd rather not waste a great amount of time on this contract."After confirmations from the team and a snide remark from Sorov and the Verres hunting crew as off. Their target, five Jun-la.

Once they were out of the ship, Zarro took a glance at his team as they stretched out, pulling their various weapons from their holsters and slings. "Faeris, follow me, we'll scout ahead." With a nod form the devaronian, the two more agile members of the hunting crew set off into the canopy of the forest. For them, it was jut another normal operation, nothing they hadn't done dozens, if not hundreds of times before. This time, they just had to be careful not to catch the creatures sense and alert it to any danger.

To say the least, the Verres Huntring crew worked well together. Not a single mission ever went incomplete. Sure they might take time, but they always made it. But during the mission is where they shined the most. Faeris and Zarro, leaping form branch to branch with out a care while the others trekked under them. With the way they did this, it didn't take Zarro long before he could sense a group of creatures up ahead. "Faeris take point. Steady and slow. Mind the wind." With a nod from the scout, Zarro sat back on his haunches, watching the man leap forward. Their target was likely to have been found. Now all he had to do was wait to find a battle plan.

"You got it, boss." Faeris leaped from his perch and made his way through the forest canopy, his agile limbs easily bringing him from place to place as he started for the Jun-La. Once the scout was out of sight, Zarro cast his glance downwards, looking to Neera, Maren, and Serra. With a few movements of his paws, he motioned for them to cautiously start a foward advance.

With each member of the crew advancing, it took a few signals to get everyone fairly close. Neera and Serra hid at the flanks, and Maren in the middle. Faerin was hiding behind them and Zarro perched just above. Having studied up on their targets, each person had taken note to hide themselves with a scent masking spray before they had left the ship. Their scent at least somewhat hidden, combined with a wave of calm sent through the force, did enough to stabilize the animals and keep them from getting skittish. Lifting his hand, Zarro kept an open palm, the signal to get ready.

One breath, then another, each one slow and concentrated. One always had to wait for the single moment of when the creatures were in the best position. Calling to the force, he started to influence their actions, moving them into a tightly huddled group. There were six of them, and if he managed to get them tight enough, Neera might be able to catch all of them with one shot of her net gun. Once they where together, he took a moment to let them relax. A hasty hunter often became an unsuccessful one.

A minute passed and his arm began to ache. He could feel the anticipation of his team in the force, but waited just a bit longer. The wind shifted and a jun-la lifted its head. Another moment and it would catch him. Now. He closed his paw and the net shot off. The other hunters leaped in, forcing the animals back in their huddle for the net to fall on them, giving Maren a chance to fire off his tranquilizer. It was a simple plan, pulled off beautifully. By the book and highly effective. just like Zarro loved.

Whoops and hollers came out form his men as they lifted their tools in joy. Zarro gave them their moment of reverie before jumping form his perch, landing next to the bundle of now sleeping jun-las. "Alright, lets load them up." He reached into his com and called the ship. "Sorov, package ready for pickup, lets go."
