Council of Captains
The Verge Flotilla
Hey, all you scoundrels and ne'er-do-wells! Looking to make a quick credit in this war-torn galaxy? Come on down to the Centrality, a backwater region smack dab between the borders of the Sith Empire and the Bryn'adul, now swollen with refugees fleeing both. Their chaos and despair is your opportunity, because rule of law has never been stretched thinner! The newborn Spinward Syndicate is hiring smugglers to expand its operations in the region, and you'll be well-paid for your assistance! Just don't feth it up. The Syndicate takes a dim view of captains who dump their cargoes at the first sign of trouble.
Below, you can find a list of jobs that you (and your crew, if you have one) can take on! Each job will have a semi-structured story and light opposition GMed by yours truly. It's a great opportunity to build up your smuggler character's reputation, or to put your crew to the test! Feel free to post below to claim one of the jobs (one per character or crew), and to organize team-ups if you're interesting in working together to tackle one of them. If this proves popular enough, I'll continue to update the jobs board as people complete assignments. Good luck out there; the Centrality can be a rough place, now more than ever.

CLAIMED BYTris
Cargo: Lesai spice, 5 cargo pods (100 doses)
Pick-Up: Zebitrope IV
Drop-Off: Scillal
Payout: 18,000 credits
Threats: Centrality Customs
Description: A local holiday is taking place on Scillal, and thousands of shipyard employees are off-work and looking to spend their bonuses on partying all night. Demand for lesai is skyrocketing, but the authorities are cracking down, with patrol cruisers scanning all incoming ships and rigorous inspections at all spaceports. Evade both threats and deliver the spice to our contact at Fenkt Memorial Spaceport within two days, so we can catch the festival in full swing.

CLAIMED BYOkkeus Dainlei
Cargo: 8 crates of weaponry (40 light repeaters)
Pick-Up: Ringneldia II
Drop-Off: Renatasia III
Payout: 22,500 credits
Threats: Pirate Interception
Description: Ever since the brief Renatasian Confederation uprising a few years back, it's been illegal to sell Centrality-made weapons to the Renatasians. That has only driven up demand, especially with the Sith and Bryn'adul getting dangerously close and making everyone nervous. Plenty of pirates are plying the spacelanes, though, eager to capture cargoes for their own profit. Evade them and run these light repeaters over to our contact on Renatasia III.

Cargo: 1 live Akorec (height 10m, weight 19,000kg)
Pick-Up: Trammis III
Drop-Off: Antipose IX
Payout: 30,000 credits
Threats: Dangerous Creature
Description: The famous gladiatorial arena on Antipose IX is looking to shake up their normal matches by showing off a full-grown Akorec, a colossal reptillian predator from the jungles of Trammis III. Local big game hunters, after losing more than a few of their number, have finally managed to sedate one, but under Centrality law it's illegal to move the creature onto an inhabited world. Sneak the giant dinosaur into the Antipose system without it drawing too much attention... or getting loose and eating you.

CLAIMED BYRevy
Cargo: 1 Gand Relic (properties unknown)
Pick-Up: Sith Border
Drop-Off: Dilonexa XXII
Payout: 20,000 credits
Threats: Sith Minefield
Description: A group of Gand refugees are bankrolling a salvage mission. One of their transports was destroyed while trying to escape from Sith Empire space, and all hands were lost. There was an important relic of their religion on board the transport too, and the Gand are willing to pay handsomely for its return. The transport went down in the middle of an active minefield, so you'll need to salvage it quickly and carefully unless you want to end up as little scraps scattered on the solar wind.
