Development Thread: None

Manufacturer: Salacia Consolidated

Model: SMC- G01 Gas Mining Droid

Affiliation: Open

Modularity: Very minor

Production: Mass Produced

Material: Plastene(collection shell), Spun-plast(collection shell/tubing), durasteel(platform)

Description:

By taking to the skies with their collection devices, the SMC-G01 Gas Mining Droid eliminates the need for permanent installations. Using a repulsorlift module, SMC-G01 units fly into the atmosphere and seek out the gasses preprogammed by end user. Gasses are collected by using highly-pressured tubing driven via a liquid "fracking" solution. Acting like a vacuum, the tubing pulls in the surrounding air, passes it through the "fracking" solution and deposits the preidentified gas into the collection chamber. Gasses and elements that are not required by the end user as expelled as "waste" back into the atmosphere.

Made with a hollow plastene collection shell with a spun-plast coating, the SMC-G01 is designed to be durable given varied atmospheric conditions. As the collection shell fills with the gasses, weight increases. With the increased weight the SMC-G01 unit will move more slowly and be less maneuverable in the air. End users can program to the SMC-G01 to return back to aerial collection sites or ground based platforms once the collection shell has reached capacity.

Modularity is limited to the tubing(amount of heads, PSI) and programming for gas collection.
