Sluis Van Soresu (Jericho)

@Jericho

Veino stopped for a break in his journeys across this planet and peered down the rocky slope beneath his small ledge. Craggy black rocks protruded upwards at sharp angles and a faint early morning fog twisted among their crags. He sat down and took a drink from his canteen, shifting to evade the sharp edges.

This was a nice planet. A bit rough. Good for poking around to see what could be found though. Or who could be found, anyways. He would have to discover that in the future to be sure. Until then, he would sit and rest a while. Then he'd continue upwards to try and find that high-altitude lake.

Jericho walked along the path that laid before him. He put his armored shade hat above his head, resting it on holding it up with the string around his neck. His destination? Wherever the road led him. Jericho wandered the planet for some time now and the majority of his life he wandered this beautiful galaxy, seeking chaos that he could cull with his blade and hone his own skills in the way of the saber as well as the force. Gathering as much knowledge and abilities as he could, not to be the the ultimate force in the galaxy but for a understanding of it.

That is what he believed his purpose in his life was, but recently, he has started to question if that was his real purpose. He loved to fight, the battlefield was the closest thing to home he had now. It was where he strived, where he knew he belonged, because that is where he could be the best he could be. It was truly the only thing he knew, and he knew it well.

"What do I do when this is all over? When I myself cannot continue to fight? What will I do with all the knowledge I have gained?"

When the fighting finally ended, when the chaos ceased, when people were finally able to live their lives out in peace, where would he fit into that. Where does he fit into that picture? At this point, all Jericho knew wass violence, to stop the fighting by fighting back, destroy the chaos with his own blade. Where then, does a man like him fit into this paradise? Settle down and become a master? Jericho walked by the side of a river, he stopped walking down the road and went to the river, kneeling down and looking into it. Jericho shrugged it off took off his mask for a moment, and wet his face with a handful of water, trying to get his mind of his worries and doubts.

"There are two things I know for sure. That I shall carve a path through this chaos for the younger generation, and that I shall follow this road until it ends."

He thought putting his mask back on. Then Jericho noticed ahead, what looked to be a man by himself. He knew not to underestimate anybody in these times of chaos, for everyone needed to know how to defend themselves to survive. He approached the man cautiously but when he felt the aura of the man before him, he knew that the man meant no harm and seem knowledgeable. Being foreword as he was with little social skills, he ignore the fact that he stood at 6'5 and built more like a monster than man. Covered by his blade torn jedi robe and plated armor, with his mask covering only the lower part of his face from his nose down. His eyes were intensely staring into the other man's intimidatingly but unknowingly. he walked to the man and spoke to him, "You seem skilled, I feel there is something I can learn from you." He stated in his stern and low voice.

He could sense someone approaching now, a Jedi by the aura. Not enough information to tell much else, so he glanced back. A serious Jedi, by the looks of him. Apparently the Force had decreed their paths would combine in this place and at this time for some reason unknown. Then he spoke. Apparently there was something the man could learn from him. It made sense, of course, everyone could learn something from everyone else. It was just the way of life. Each brought their own perspective that only belonged to themselves.

He turned around from where he was sitting, and shrugged, "That is likely true, but you could have specifically learned something from anyone you might have met. Feel anything specific you can learn from? I can teach how to hitch rides, how to find quick jobs to pay for a ticket, how to ask for food when you have no money, how to be an idiot, and a whole bunch of other things." He leaned back and held his hands up. "I can't teach if I don't know what you want to learn."

The man seemed like a warrior with his plated armor and odd mask thing. Why would anyone wear something like that in the first place? It just got in the way and didn't do a whole lot to hide the face when a face could be matched with simply the visible half. "You look somewhat combat focused. In that department, I can teach soresu most effectively. It's my main lightsaber form."

That would a bit of an odd combination, the giant of a man in armor and mask learning from Veino's smaller frame clad in battered traveling clothes and greatcoat. No armor. No mask. Just a wayfarer, looking no different than thousands of other itinerants.
