Within the last twelve hours, he had a flurry of aides, intelligence analysts, and others come forth to him and others like him. Thel was trusted for a lot of reasons, and chief among them was his years as a intelligence asset for the Alliance.
And what this had, disturbed him, disturbed him greatly. Whispers of it outside of Republic space, the kinds of places the Senate didn't want to, or cared to look. They had enough issues as it was and a shooting war with the Sith was on the horizon once more. But what this agent found was enough of a problem to consider every option available to the Republic. But, their asset in the field had a disturbing revelation for the Republic.
One that he was truthfully, unsure if they could handle at the present moment. Calls were made, messages by secure courier sent. Nothing was delivered electronically or by wire. It was all hand-delivered. Messages destroyed upon reading. Only those qualified to receive the messages were given them. Higher-up intelligence and military personnel, the Chancellor, and selected Senators.
Thel rubbed his hands together in the conference room on Naboo, under a new enhanced layer of security. Nothing was even stored digitally- all of his briefs were on paper, and projector. Ancient technology, but impossible to beat security wise. Thel stood at the head of the conference room, his intelligence asset in the other room- waiting to be called at the right moment. Thel looked worried, pensieve, and deep in thought at the head of the table, eager, but terrified, to give his briefing and update.
