SPECIAL FEATURES
Rancor Strength: The tremendous amount of power behind a rancor still remains in the monster's skin. As per the name, Slayerskin transfers that strength onto the wearer.
Lightning Conductor: As an alchemical piece of armor, Slayerskin absorbs the power of Sith lightning (but not its painful effects), storing that lightning like latent static energy.
Quasi-Magnetic sealing: As an alchemical piece of armor, Slayerskin can deflect most small blaster shots and withstand substantially larger ones.
Saberproof reinforcement: Rancor skin is already capable of slowing down lightsaber blows and softening them, but with alchemical enhancements it becomes capable of partially deflecting lightsaber blades.
Dark Side Affinity: As per its alchemical origins, Slayerskin is charged with dark side energy, attuning itself naturally to more dark side-aligned wearers, conferring its properties onto them.
Strengths:
+BUILT TO LAST: Special properties aside, Slayerskin is a very well-designed and well-crafted piece of armor. The bull rancor leather is naturally resistant to small arms fire and even lightsabers, and the layered design lets it take blows more efficently. Sith Alchemy enhances the basic properties, giving the armor the strength and toughness akin to a typical Sith sword, like the power to deflect blaster bolts and resist lightsabers. It can even store dark-side lightning to be unleashed upon physical contact.
+HATE IS MY SHIELD: Tehkyram's armor is specifically designed to protect him while he rampages across the battlefield. To that extent, the armor is intimately attuned to the wearer. Indeed, the more ferocious and bloodthirsty the wearer is, the harder and more resilient the armor is, its properties gradually bleeding over into the skin of the wearer providing marginally increased durability.
Weaknesses:
-BARE IT ALL: Tehkyram doesn't care very much for restricting heavy armor. As a result, his armor is particularly revealing. While it covers key areas, it isn't particularly comfortable in extreme climates, and can leave Tehkyram with many vulnerabilities. Likewise, the complete disregard for modesty makes it remarkably inappropriate for social settings.
-IT'S A FEATURE!: Being tied to the darkness of the wearer would probably pass for "cursed" in some circles. Indeed, simply by donning Slayerskin, the wearer starts to feel their darker, more malicious and violent impulses begin to rise to the surface.
DESCRIPTION
Tehkyram is naturally geared towards killing people. So to that end, the trial by which he would obtain his knighthood would only feature murder as an accessory of sorts. Thus, the goal of Tehkyram's task was in multiple parts: go to Felucia, slay a rancor, and use its carcass to forge both a set of armor and a blade. After slaying the Rancor, he would take the corpse to the planet Amaltanna, where, under the advice and mentorship of Darth Arcanix, the knight-to-be would craft the armor known as Slayerskin.
Made of thick Bull Rancor hide with coated bone for the studs and buckles, Slayerskin is virtually 100% constructed from the Rancor Tehkyram slayed on Felucia. The bloody black-and-maroon color scheme and wicked-looking design gives off an intimidating visage. Likewise, while Rancor Leather is already quite resistent to most weapons, the additional sealing provided by Sith Alchemy gives it an additional degree of durability. It suits a horrifying death-obsessed berserker like Tehkyram perfectly, giving him a terrifying edge as it also protects him in the midst of his destructive charges.
