  His parents worked themselves to dust in the thorium pits, leaving Skarv to raise himself on stolen ration packs and maintenance manuals.
  
  At 16, he hotwired his first starship - a decommissioned ore hauler. What began as a joyride became a lifetime career when he discovered a derelict freighter stuffed with palladium ingots.
  
  That score bought him the Cobra-class starhopper he'd dub the "Dust Hound," and more importantly, the gold-capped front tooth that became his namesake and calling card.
  
  For twenty-six years, Skarv's carved a bloody path through the outer rim:
