Affiliation: The Corporate Sector Alliance, Galactic Alliance, Galactic Republic, Trade Federation, Techno Union, Commerce Guild etc.

Major Locations: Galactic Holdings Offices, Techno Directorate District, The Lows

Galactic Holdings: Site of the headquarters of the highly affluent banking firm known as Galactic Holdings Inc. Many of the planet's residents maintain a mandatory membership and direct investment into the Banking firm as instituted by the Techno Guild local government. These offices are a towering imposing site, very drab and imposing in look and character, reflecting the staid practical-nature of the Skakoan culture, they are rigid and simple in design (harsh edges, jutting spires.) Within houses the numerous day-to-day workings of the employees of the Bank, its interior just as dull as the outside; with exception of a large reception hall bedecked with the banner of the Techno Directorate, there is little else. At the very lowest point of these spires, Gorm Lodnur keeps his personal offices and facilities.

Techno Directorate: The primary local authority of the independent planet of Skako, nothing goes on-on world without its direct consent and knowledge. The directorate manages the day-to-day governance of the planet taking in mind the welfare of the collective populace, guaranteeing quality of life, employment and most other aspects of daily life outside of personal choice. At the Directorates helm is a council of business interests and scientists that largely act as the rubber-stamp for the Collective directorates supreme Foreman. As of late, this rubber-stamp council saw fit to enlarge the responsibilities of one Gorm Lodnur, whom they entrust to reestablish Shako's place in the Galaxy as a world of advancement, prosperity and trade dominance.

The Lows: Skako is world covered in urban sprawl with little to no actual organic life left that is not artificially produced for the purposes of scientific experimentation, tests and of course recreation. Just as Coruscant has its dark, forgotten districts so does Skako, but in the case of The Lows, instead of being a festering corpse of community housing cute-throats and unsavory organizations, they are toxic, polluted locales-dumping grounds for industrial waste from upper districts. The Lows are seldom traveled and inhabited by little save the most desperate or those facing exhile, it is also a popular zone to dump the planets undesirables-the mentally ill, criminals and the overall-unproductive, political enemies etc.

Culture: A planetary collective, the people of Skako see themselves as beings sitting on a higher plane than most, along with this, the people largely fear outside cultural influences resulting in high levels of Xenophobic behavior. This is further compounded by the nature of the planets atmosphere which bars outsiders from considering visiting the planet as doing so would require very expensive environmental suits that are a closely kept technological secret of the Skakoans. Highly business and science/techno-centric, all aspects of society revolves around material advancement and the pursuit of scientific/engineering endeavors. The Techno Collective provides a multi-faceted educational system that encourages this, providing the planet with a highly educated and motivated populace-with the tools to pursue advancement.

Technology: The planet is highly advanced, quite possibly on par with if not partially exceeding the capability of many surrounding worlds in the Deep Core and Inner Core. Few cultures are on par beyond the human cultures of the core native to the Galactic Alliance and the industrious Neimoidians, Andos, Geonosians and Gossam that hold large-scale influence. Scientific advances in medical fields have made them nearly invulnerable to disease and the toxic nature of the planets atmosphere prevents the meddling of outside forces from intervening, the technology to counter it is highly niche and not readily available beyond the Skakoan people themselves. The Collective has also been known to mass produce service hardware such as droids and unprecedented terraforming abilities in the ability to deploy self-replicating manufacturing plants, resource stripping vehicles etc.

History: How was it discovered: Located in the core, not far from the likes of Anaxes and Coruscant, many thousands of years BBY during the days of the Proto-Republic, the planet Skako was one of the first to come into contact with the fledgling organization. Seeing advantage in developing a partnership in the intergalactic association over isolation, Skako became one of the earliest non-human systems to declare for the Republic-this was in there advantage considering the concurrent local conflicts in the Arrowhead at the time, and the Republic provided ready profit and security.

How was it settled: The populace of Skako, in times immemorial, developed through the natural process of evolution on the planets surface from some type of proto-reptillian species that eventually developed sentience in the harsh environment on the surface.

How was it discovered? How was it settled? When? Why? What major events specific to the planet helped shape its inhabitants to what they are today? Be sure to cover also the following CHAOS canon events and how they effected the planet: The Gulag Plague, The 400 Year Darkness, and the Netherworld Event. No planets in the galaxy were exempt from those events.>

(I require aid in the above history category, how may I incorporate this Star Wars Canon world into the greater canon of the Chaos board? I am also having trouble thinking about how to explain its development, settlement and major events. Any input would be very helpful!)

Notable PCs: Gorm Lodnur, Duidatos (Anyone who wishes to be associated)

Intent: To reintroduce the neglected canon planet of Skako in the Chaos board and for the Role-play purpose of character and Minor-Neutral Faction development. Doing so would make the character and faction more relevant and provide a sense of greater importance that could aid in future developments.

The planet is canon, so a Codex sub is not required for it. Additionally, Skako will not be able to be added to the map IAW planet addition rules.
1. Player-created non-canon planets may only be added to grids on the map that have 3 or less planets already occupying that grid.

2. Planets requesting to be added to grids with 4 or more planets already occupying that grid will be asked to move or be denied. Previously existing entries are grandfathered in.
You can, however, add lore to a canon planet by submitting a sub like this. Also, just because the planet does not appear on the map does not exist! You can still RP there normally as if it had a map location, even without it. It can be advantageous for those not particularly interested in PvP threading.

If you would like for me to continue judging the thread, please let me know. Otherwise, I can archive it and you can begin RPing on Skako forthwith.
Let me know how you would like to proceed.

Moons: No moons. Starports and Shipyards surround planet
According to canon, Skako has two moons.

Native Species: Skakoans
Immigrated Species: 100% Skakoans
Since Skakoans are native to this planet, they are not immigrated species. This refers to off-world species living on Skako.

You'll also need to include Chaos events into your history. For the Netherworld, billions of people disappeared - some people might use this as motive to seize power, others might be impacted financially. Same with the Gulag virus - you could say something among the lines of 'because of the high pressure of the system, Skako was relatively untouched by the Gulag virus and in fact was a major player in terms of post-virus galactic economic recovery'.

For your reference, the timeline events are listed here.
