Felucia

Dalansa watched the sun rise over the life-filled planet of Felucia, anxious eyes on the horizon. She was here as some form of test, to see how good she was. Weeding the weak out from the strong, and keeping the Council as healthy as possible. Her heart was beating furiously. She was here to do something she'd seen once before, in a beast ring of Nar Shaddaa. The man had won that day, barely limping out of the arena, and died from his wounds within a few minutes. Her master had threatened to have her do that, if she didn't behave. She hadn't done anything they didn't ask her to do for two years. She still remembered that fight. The impossible duel. A single man taking on a monstrous creature able.to break his spine in one hit. A Rancor.

And here she was, about to embark on a similar mission. But there was a difference. She wouldn't be alone. @[member="Paega Anginous"] would be here. Only two of them fighting one of the biggest creatures in the galaxy.

Felucia was an interesting planet. She had discovered at least that much on her last visit to the planet with Christian Slade. This time, she was accompanying a Sith learner to Felucia, on a mission to go hunt down rancors. Paega was willing to help Dalansa out if needed, but she wanted Dalansa to play the primary role in fighting the rancors to gain experience.

"Ever fought a rancor before?" the Sith Knight inquired as she walked down the ramp of the ship, looking back to see if Dalansa was following. Even from where they were now, it was evident from the roars that there were rancors nearby.

Dalansa shook her head at @[member="Paega Anginous"]' question. "I saw it once, in a ring. Brutal fight." She was anxious, anyone could tell that. Her only experience with one had been at such a young age, and it had horrified her. She held the saber tight. She needed it. Her force powers were minimal, and it would be most of what she could use. Perhaps, she could learn some new trick fighting things this large, even if it was as brutal as the one she had seen. Her knuckles grew white on the saber handle. She followed the knight down the ramp, into the jungles of Felucia.

"You seem nervous." the Sith Knight remarked as she led Dalansa toward the jungles. From what Paega could tell, Dalansa probably had witnessed the ferocious rancors that fought in rings. They had a tendency to kill, or sometimes eat people. Thus it was quite justified for Dalansa to be anxious. They did hold a certain advantage others did not, however.

"Don't worry. Rancors are no match against the power of the Force." the blonde stated. Suddenly a loud roar could be heard, and a wild rancor appeared right around the corner. Paega wasn't fazed by the giant beast, she saw it as a great opportunity for the Sith learner to gain experience. "Lets see what you've got." Paega said to Dalansa as the rancor moved forward towards them.

Dalansa's saber lept to life in her hand, as her other began to churn with the force. It swirled around her hand, an angry torrent of barely-controlled wrath, waiting to prove to the beast what it was dealing with. But the Offshoot held her saber up, as if to defend from a blow, before seeming to punch at the beast's eye. Blind it, keep it distracted. That was the safest way.

Paega watched with interest as the apprentice moved. It was admirable, what Dalansa was trying to do, but she would soon learn that rancors were not simple beasts to be messed around with. The Sith Knight was more than willing to step in and assist if Dalansa requested it, however.

The rancor shifted around as Dalansa tried to punch into the beast's eye. First off, the beast was much, much taller than the girl. So instead of the targeted eye, the rancor simply raised its arms to defend from the punch. That ended up annoying the beast. With an angry roar, the rancor slammed its fist down towards Dalansa with suprising speed.

"You need help?" Paega inquired, standing to the side.
