Sithspawn and Thugs... what more do you need? (Fable)

‘ There is a sword somewhere deep in an underground prison on Dromund Kaas, I want you to get it for me.’
‘ What kind of sword? ‘
‘ You will know once you see it. ‘
‘ Can I take Fable with me, miss Merrill? ‘
‘ It’s going to be dangerous, she will be your responsibility. ‘
‘ We will be careful. ‘
‘ It doesn’t always rely on you, but very well. ‘

I was shifting through my datapad trying to gather as much information as possible from the prison in question, using my access as an AEL employee to access public records, the company had been associated with excavation efforts on Kaas for the Mandalorians - a lucrative business venture. Most of the records were vague, purposely so I was starting to gather, almost as if Rave had made sure that I wouldn’t be able to access all of the info in one try; nothing a few slicing attempts wouldn’t fix though.

After a few more hours I finally had some small measure of an idea of what we would be going up against. A crack in surface of the planet, no stairways, elevators or natural cliff ways ; the crack was too small for a ship to go through - so we would need to climb our way down and that was something I wasn’t very much enjoying. But I ain’t done yet, not even close to done. The place was a walking death-trap if we somehow managed to get downside in one piece, we would encounter our first real obstacle: a nest of terentatek, somehow we will have to either defeat or evade them, because there aren’t any other passageways to our destination.

Typical.

As Merrill had mentioned already, it was a underground prison complex, Sith-era so you know we won’t encounter anything beautiful down there. Seems the society has digressed into further chaos and gang wars, as the thugs battle for the last available resources - we will have to somehow find our way between them to our final destination… which ain’t actually known to me.

Somewhere in the underground prison.

That could be anywhere and I ain’t liking the chances, but when Rave asks you to do something you do it. Besides she said she trusted me to be able to accomplish it, so… it can’t be that hard, right?

‘ Can I take any equipment with me? ‘
‘ I am not sending you on a suicide mission, AEL’s catalog is open to you. ‘
‘ Thank you. ‘

So we weren’t completely helpless.

After committing most of the info to heart I decided to walk up to Fable’s room, I had already told her about our mission - I hoped she was ready to go, I wanted to start and finish this as soon as possible.

It wasn't often that anything was asked of Fable. Rave was typically satisfied in letting the waif trail after her like a sad little shadow, and the young woman really only had a handful of others who even knew she existed. So when one of those someones had asked her to not only go on an adventure, but to do so at the request of Rave herself? Fable had readily agreed.

And once committed, she'd allowed herself the luxury of getting worried sick.

Fable met Cerita at the door, dressed in her best AEL-made combat leathers, a saber on one side and a blaster on the other. Swallowing nervously, she gave her green friend a timid smile and wave of greeting, clearly ready to go.
