DEAD! BUT STILL A GENIUS!!!!!!!

Location: Kegan

Velran Kilran chuckled walking towards entrance of the small town of Aquarius, a quaint little town located in the middle of nowhere. People walking to and fro acting as if they own the land and that they're own people. Bah! The problem with these people is that they live under a delusion. They feel that they're in total control of their lives but in reality it's an illusion. Velran knew that the true puppet masters were the Hutts. He did his research while scouring the planet and found that not only it was filled to the brim with Coaxium but was also under control by the Hutt cartel who allowed these people to live slop thinking they're independent while mine their resources.

It was clever albeit unusual method for the Hutts, those Slugs would just come in, enslave the population, and squeeze everything out of the planet. Sometimes terraforming a planet if need be. Maybe there are some brains inside of those thick skulls of theirs, the Sun was unbearable on his pale white skin. Years being cooped up in his palace of New Alderaan could do that to him. Velran only came to this backwater planet was to scout planets out for potential Coaxium and to find a certain Sith Lord whom he received a tip from the Butterfly Unit that she was here. Velran needed her for more experiments and even though she is dangerous, Velran has a contingency plan like the genius that he is. "Come out where you are," Velran smiled.

Sicarius Hekate Sicarius Hekate

Sicarius was bored, she was looking over reports of Coaxium deposits and their profits. Bueracrtic nonsense, but her Master had insisted fi they were to take over Gula the Hutt's cartel that they should know the details of their business better than he did. It had been Gula's laxness over such a heavy cash flow business that had revealed weaknesses in his small empire. Time was Sicarius would have rebelled out of sheer boredom, but now she acknowledged the wisdom of knowledge of your enemy. The better to defeat them.

Besides being entrusted on a solo mission had been a mark of trust that her Master hadn't bestowed on her lightly. Although admittedly the nature of their relationship had… evolved recently. Ever since Kessel Master Angonous had definitely been treating her as more of an adult in her own right. Sicarius was determined not to disappoint him. No matter how tedious this mission was.

Sicarius was distracted from her boredom by a knock on the door. Sicarius frowned her people knew better than to disturb her unless there was pertinent news.

"Come". Sicarius commanded firmly

"Mistress". The servant greeted with a bow. "There is an Imperial Man at the outskirts of town."

Sicarius frowned.

"An Imperial? Why? Is he scouting the Coaxium deposits?"

Sicarius could only think of that as a reason to send a scout. The only other thing of interest in this small community was herself. She scoffed at the thought.

Personally she found most Imperials overly stuffy, but she supposed they demonstrated less softness than some of the other Factions. Sicarius dismissed the servant. Well she might as well check it out, she was here to gain intelligence after all. Sicarius put on her robe and hood, making herself look like a spice beggar, adding a hitch in her step to sell the illusion.

Velran continued to walk around these blind nincompoops going about their day-to-day business-like pitiful Sheep. It's amazing how smug people are these days. They think that they're the big dogs who are in control of their own destiny. At least that's how these people of Kegan like to delude themselves to be. It was pathetic there is no evidence that organic beings are sentient and aware. People never think for themselves, they find it too uncomfortable. They only repeat things that they have heard or learned and become exceedingly hostile whenever they are exposed to a different viewpoint.

"The characteristic trait of organics," Velran mumbled to himself. "Is not of individuality but conformity, people are all Sheep masquerading as Wolves just self-centered conformists."

In truth only a few are the shapers of the Galaxy those who have the power and will to change course the events of destiny. Velran was one of them, he knew since he was a child that he was made for great things just like his ancestor: Rycus Kilran. Rycus became the Butcher of Coruscant during the Cold War. A wicked smile spread across Velran's face as he looked up at the bright Sun. "Soon this planet will be mine," Velran smiled. "The Empire is but a means to an end. All I care about is marking my place in history, to go down as the greatest conqueror of them all."

"Scuse me sir are you okauy?"

"Hold up there Cowboy!" Velran jumped seeing what looked to be a scrawny young man who looked bewildered. "No touchy!"

"Ummm what?" The man asked.

"I said....." Velran pointed his finger at him. "No touchy!"

"Listen friend I think you're a bit touched in the head," the man said. "The name is Joe though and um welcome I guess."

"Ahhh Doe," Velran laughed. "I feel.... okay in this town but I'm here in search for a Sith a pale Zabarak who was last seen in this town."

"Don't know about a Sith," Joe frowned. "And it's Joe by the way. There was a female Zabarak that matches your description. The woman was barely clothed and had a nasty attitude. But she runs the Coaxium mines."

"What?" Velran shook his head. "The mission has gotten complicated."

"Is she in trouble?" Joe asked.

"Oh yes she is," Velran answered. "Where is she?"

"She should be in her apartment," Joe replied. "Up north."

"Thank you."

Velran brushed past Joe and headed straight for the apartment, those Coxaium belonged to him and he wouldn't let that Sith take over.

Sicarius walked with a shuffle limp while she paroled the town. It was everyday people doing everyday things. Sicarius went largely unnoticed. She had already established her cover as a local spice junkie. She found the disguise useful, everybody overlooked the homeless, and pretended not see addicts. Even if she was noticed. All she had to do to sell the lie was occasionally shake a bowl and mime for asking for money. It was an effective role. Most people were comfortable in the monotony of the routine of their every day lives.

Most people were unaware that the spice beggar with a hood was the same person as the Zabrak who ran the Coaxium mines. Sicarius found it useful to have multiple identities in order gather information. People said things in front of beggars they barely glanced at than they were to the boss of the towns major business and supplier.

Sometimes power had it's disadvantages when it came to gathering local knowledge. Most of the time the information gathered was innocuous. Unless you knew what to look for. The co workers who took the same route from work because they were having an affair, which person was skimpy with tips to their servers, the security guard who was wearing timepiece way above his salary. The first was useful to blackmail or exploit a sexual or romantic relationship. The second was an indication that they may be susceptible to bribery or other monetary pressure. The security guard was gaining income above his station so probably taking bribes to look the other way. All useful knowledge. Knowledge was power in a different form. Not that these primitives understood the distinction.

They were like primitive cave people who refused to look outside the cave. Very few people had the will to make the decision to escape the prison that the familiar entrapped them in. Even fewer searched for true power. Politicians told themselves that their illusion of power was the real thing, but it was just another aspect of the routine.

True power was taken and then enforced by the will of the person in possession of it. Having someone's life within your hands, experimenting on a subject in order to create further life in your image, harnessing the power of the Force and implementing it as you saw fit. That was power. Whether or not a town got necessary supplies from their local mayor was pathetic in comparison.

Sicarius musing's on people and power as interrupted as a rather strange and peculiar man seemed to be approaching her apartment. She decided to crumple and sit on the corner opposite her apartment while she studied the newcomer.

Velran approached the apartment shaking his head with disdain. What kind of nonsense is this? The apartment looks more like a tin can that was barely lived in. Oh well, not everything has to be like the palace that Velran was cooped up in New Alderaan but for crying out loud! Can people on Kegan have some standards already?! He entered the apartment in search for this young Sith Lord who barely wore any clothes. He saw what appeared to be a beggar who was sitting down and appeared to be studying him. Intriguing, Velran knew not to underestimate the downtrodden for they are the most observant unlike the bloated and distracted nincompoops those "leaders" of the Empire.

"Hello there sir or ma'am!" Velran tried to appear sociable but his movements were as stiff as a droid and his smile was forced. "I am looking for a young, pale skinned barely dressed individual who coincidentally lives in that room that you are begging in. Is she home? I would to.... whisk her away in a land of fun and adventure and I'm definitely not trying to kidnap her for my own personal gain."

He gave the beggar another forced smile, he hated this..... small talk. He had half the mind to demand the beggar the information but like Ikris Kresad Ikris Kresad says: One must be respectful so they can lower their guard. "I don't think it was her though," Velran thought. "Perhaps it was somebody else."

Sicarius studied the comings and goings of passerby's with practiced patience. She found amusement in the thought that time was she would have hunted down the Imperial, tortured him for information then disposed or utilized him for her experiments. Truthfully that might be more expedient than just waiting for the stranger to reveal himself, and she may have to resort to that in the end anyway, For now however she followed her Master's guidance of patience.

She was beginning to wonder if that's what she should be doing, then a most improbable stranger walked right up to her apartment. He was odd… particularly for an imperial. Big bushy moustache and a bit of a twitch to his movements, he seemed.... unbalanced. Like a man on too many stimulants.

The stranger approached her and confirmed that he was looking for her. Sicarius had to cough to over up a grunt of amusement at his description of her or his unusual attempt to cover his motives..

Barely dressed individual? It was true Sicarius preferred free flowing movement. As part zabrak she was more hardy than most and found clothing chafing and restricting. [trying to kidnap me for personal gain?

Is this man trying to capture me? for what? a reward? Perhaps one of the Hutts had put a price on her head out of alliance with Gula.

She had to admit this was easier than torturing him for information would have been. Sicarius ruefully had to admit stealth and patience had paid off for once. Not that she'd ever admit it, particularly not to her Master.

Let's see what else this fool will admit to. Sicarius had to conceal a smirk to herself under her hood.

"What kind of aaah.. fun and adventure would you want to whisk her away for?" Sicarius asked.

It is rather convenient that a beggar is sitting right next to the apartment of the person Velran is searching for. But if there's one things Velran has learned about people, is that they do weird things all in the name of individualism. "Oh in a place far away from this dustbowl of a planet!" Velran said happily. "The said Sith Lord will be working for me doing lots of experiments 24/7!"

Velran turned to the door his sunken eyes darting all over it, the door was open which was interesting. Sith Lords were normally secretive, they refuse to allow access to their private quarters unless they left in a hurry. "Excuse me beggar who is conveniently sitting in the hallway when she could be begging on the streets." Velran said. "What can you tell me about this so called Sith who resides here?"

Sicarius barely concealed a smirk and a raised eyebrow as she watched the Imperial act a fool.

Experiments. Hmmm

If she actually believed the fools offer a genuine one she might have been intrigued but so far he seemed.. Unbalanced. Twitchy. Definitely someone worth investing her time or effort in. Even this conversation was starting grow tedious. Sicarius was beginning to grow tired of the charade. This fool had nothing of value to offer her.

Sicarius let go a chuckle of mirth as the fool seemed to start to glean that she wasn't who she was appearing to be.

"I can tell you that she doesn't like uninvited guest, twitchy people asking about her and that she has grown bored with your foolishness." Sicarius threw off her cloak and ignited her lightsaber.

"Now fool. Why are you really after me? Are you a bounty hunter working for the Sleemo Hutts?!"

"Cause I can tell you I've been their guest before and I refuse to be captured alive again!"

Velran blinked when the so-called beggar removed her cloak only to reveal herself as the barely clothed Sith Warrior that he was looking for. "Can't say I'm surprised," Velran said raising his eyebrows his bushy moustache twitching as he did so. "No offense but next time if you're going to make a convincing beggar at least try to beg outside."

He ignored the hum of her Lightsaber as continued to gaze into her yellow eyes. "I mean I know how it's hard to be among the muck and mild but at least embrace the role you're trying to play."

Verlan snickered at Sicarius. Him? The fool? If there's one thing that hasn't changed about the Sith was their arrogance. "I don't know what you are talking about." Velran said. "I've heard of my..... brethren kissing Hutt butt but you have other uses."

He poked Sicarius' stomach, the nozzle of the blaster pistol was placed right above her belly button. Before she can react, Velran pulled the trigger unleashing a powerful electric volt that paralyzed her entire body. Her body crumpled to the floor while Velran took her Lightsaber and placed it in his jacket. "Hard to believe!" Velran laughed. "That despite being defeated over and over again, the Sith still remain the same fools that they've always been. Especially you Sicarius, you overestimate yourself."

Velran took out a collar and placed it around Sicarius' neck nullifying her Force abilities. "Now then!" Velran placed the limp Sicarius over his shoulder. "IT IS TIME TO GO!"

He paused. "EAT!" Velran shouted before walking through the hallway.

Sicarius eyes narrowed while the fool criticized her theatrical performance. He was trying to antagonize her in order for her to be rash. A few years ago that would have worked. Right then however it was merely mildly irritating. Still she supposed she could humor the strange man. He seemed to have a frazzled conversation track.

"I'll admit I'm not going to be a holofilm star anytime soon." SIcarus admitted with some wry amusement "Unfortunately I didn't have much to prepare. Next time I'll invent a full backstory tragic and with plot twists about a beggars poor family farm being raided by roughians."

Sicarius raised an eyebrow at his denial of being a Hutt errand boy.

"If you're not hear for the Hutts. Why are you here?" Sicarius asked genuinely puzzled " As far as I know I haven't crossed any Imperials lately?"

"Unless you had some investments in the Kessel Mines?"

Sicarius was trying to wrack her brain to come up with a reason why an Imperial would be after her. Even one as puzzling as this man was. She was still trying to figure t out when a spasm of electricity coursed through her body.

The Pain itself was inconsequential. Even familiar. It was a standard part of Sith training to be shocked by electric blasts. For both Pain and Pleasure. In other circumstances eh might've even enjoyed it. It was however effective. Sicarius had done enough biological experiments to know that physical damage is physical damage regardless of whether or not you were used to the pain.

As the Imperial Fool lifted her like a sack of grain. Sicarius realised she had been captured. Her last thought before she blacked out was.

Oh not again!

"I don't want to wait for our lives to be over, I want to know right now what will it be....."

Sicarius was placed over Velran's shoulder like a sack of Potatoes her body was limp and her pale arms were slowly swaying left and right while he carried her towards the nearest McYodas. He was sashaying along the muddy road continuing to hum while the people of Keegan gawked at him as if Velran was a Waampa. "This is Bounty Hunter business!" Velran said. "Go back to building your stick houses and eating your mud pies!"

With the Sith Lord in tow, the only thing left to do was to scout the planet out for resources. So far, there was a Coaxium mine that the Sith Lord was allegedly looking over. "First I shall indulge myself in some greasy food," Velran said to himself. "While planning the next step in my devious plan!" He looked at the long line and took a deep breath. "It seems that's the best food that this backwater planet can offer." Velran snorted. "Oh well! It's worth the wait!"
