GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Organization Name: Sith+ Entertainment Conglomerate
  • Classification: HoloNet Streaming Service
  • Affiliation: The Sith Order in its various iterations.
  • Organization Symbol: See above. May come in other shades of red.
  • Description: Sith+ is the galaxy's premier source of Sith-centric HoloNet entertainment, with a focus on reality shows, bloodsports, and the overlap thereof. While somewhat infamous for its 'oh no, anyway' attitude to participant/employee death and association with the murderous agenda of the Sith, the streaming service has endured all attempts to stamp it out - presumably due to Mechu-Deru in the IT department.
GEOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION
  • Headquarters: Itinerant. Not exactly a legal business.
  • Domain: Sith+ content can be viewed across the galaxy.
  • Notable Assets: Sith+ has access to various sets and studios.
CONTENT INFORMATION
  • How Many Shocks sees one to four contestants 'willingly' electrocuted by Force Lightning in exchange for an increasing sum of credits. While they can quit at any time in theory, in practice few enter such a contest unless truly desperate. Death/maiming is by no means unheard of.
  • The Squib Games is a competition in which failed Initiates compete to earn an apprenticeship. The games and trials in which they participate are often lethal and invariably entertaining. Killing other contestants is accepted - nay, encouraged. It shows dedication, after all!
  • Naked and Terrifying drops one to three naked Sith into a hostile environment in which they must survive. This has included the barren wastes of Korriban and, in the case of the popular Streets of Coruscant season, the eponymous ecumenopolis - and capital of the Galactic Alliance. It's a matter of some contention whether contestants should endeavour to stay naked or steal the clothes of the first person they meet. Teasers or marketing images may be released during filming, especially if contestants opt to 'boringly' hide from local law enforcement.
  • So You Want to Date a Sith Lord is a dating show where as many as a dozen contestants compete for the romantic interest of a Sith Lord, or in a few cases a famous Knight. While failure is generally not lethal, contestants are advised that some Sith take failed courting poorly.
  • Inquisitors follows the workday of Sith Inquisitors as they enforce the rule of law and/or Sith ideology. Unlike traditional law enforcement, they have near-complete freedom to carry out extraordinary renditions, achieve confessions with torture, and summarily execute 'the guilty'.
  • Big Overseer seals a group of variably dysfunctional individuals inside a luxurious vault where they participate in what has been described as a 'cruel social experiment' by killjoys. 'Guests' who are evicted do so through a trapdoor in a central chamber, never to be seen again.
  • This Old Tomb follows efforts to renovate tombs, ruins, and the occasional fortress. It is otherwise a fairly standard renovation show, with the notable exception that 'minions' are often murdered by Sithspawn, force ghosts, and poor health and safety standards in the background.
  • Battlespawn pits Sithspawn (and occasionally technobeasts and such) against each other in tournament fights, frequently with their creators or their apprentices shouting orders at them. Abominations are most popular, but some were (or still are) people - often enemies of the Sith.
  • The Apprentice follows a group of Acolytes as they compete to become the Apprentice of a powerful Sith. The tests and trials they face are to be decided by the Sith in question, at least in theory - in practice they face significant pressure to make it as entertaining as possible. "You're fired." is the typical words with which an Acolyte is ejected, though variations exist, e.g., "You're fried." for those about to be shocked/burnt.
  • Omnivores follow Sith as they hunt and eat a variety of prey, some of which are definitely sentient - including Ewoks and Wookies.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Hierarchy: Presided over by a Dark Board of Directors that answers in part to the company's shareholders and in part to whichever Sith Lord is currently threatening to choke/electrocute/scold them if they fail him/her for the last time. The rest of the company is structured much like a regular media company, but with more menacing titles, a greater level of secrecy, and a more literal kind of backstabbing.
  • Membership: Sith+ has a large number of employees, but many of them are interns/slaves. All proper employees are ruthlessly dedicated to the production of solid entertainment and/or taking the credit for the work of weaker coworkers. Dark Managers try to maintain a healthy work environment, which sometimes involves flogging unproductive employees until morale improves. It better improve, or they are next.
  • Climate: The interns are unpaid, the taxes only paid if absolutely necessary, and the employees told they are cherished, as opposed to, well, reasonable wages and not crushing unions. Standard Corpo stuff, really. Sith+ goes a step further, being Sith - killing your supervisor is a sort of acceptable route to a promotion, some of the 'interns' are literally enslaved, and betrayal ends in termination with extreme prejudice.
  • Reputation: Treated with wary interest at best and outright hostility from those who know someone kidnapped/killed for entertainment. Any 'bleeding hearts' are liable to complain about rampant sentient rights violations, but you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.
  • Curios: Employees receive (moderate) discounts on merchandise. Members of the Dark Board are gifted ceremonial daggers forged from the 'spoils of just war', i.e., Beskar taken from Mandalore during the Sith-Imperial occupation and subsequent strip mining. Naturally, they can be used for practical purposes too, including the termination of failed employees - members can keep them if they survive retiring.
  • Rules: Dedicated to the Sith Code and/or the Almighty Credit. Unusually few restrictions on the maiming of coworkers.
  • Goals: Profit, the furtherance of personal ambition, and the advancement of the great plan of the Sith. The Dark Board disagrees somewhat on what exactly this plan is - some want to reconquer the Galaxy, others to purge it alongside the Brotherhood of the Maw.
MEMBERS
  • Darth Convivium, Caliginous Executive Director. Self-obsessed Muun, considers ratings and employees alike 'mere numbers'.
  • Era Nerr, Overlord of Sentient Resources. Arkanian Sith Knight, has repeatedly denied a habit of 'altering employees'.
  • Darth Cerritus [PC], game show host. Entertaining to watch, but somewhat unstable; has 'ended a few shows early'.
  • Merp, Slave-Intern. Scarred, tongueless human male, nicknamed after the only sound he can reliably produce.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Even the darkest, most psychotic of Sith Lords want entertainment, but watching Acolytes kill each other in an unstructured manner loses its charm quite quickly. As such, a group of like-minded individuals got together at some point in the 850s ABY and founded what would become the Galaxy's premier source of Sith-centric HoloNet entertainment. Not that there is all that much competition within that niche market.

While founded by Sith for Sith, it quickly earned a cult following among individuals who cared more about entertainment value than 'ethics', 'taxes', and 'not committing crimes against civilisation for a cheap laugh'. People who aren't killjoys, in other words.
