Age: 43
Species: Human

Appearance: A thin but well-proportioned woman with red hair growing out of her skin on nearly every part of her body, intermittently patched with silver, blonde, and gray highlights. Hyperia trichosia, or werewolf syndrome, is the illness that causes her condition. Last seen wearing a light tan wedding dress.

Personality: Mother knows best. People-user. Master manipulator.

Force Sensitivity: Knight

Weapon of Choice: Words, and, occasionally, poison.

Skills: Sith Alchemy--enough to create a human/wookiee hybrid, or demi-wookiee. Hunting. Survival.

Wealth: Living off the land.

Combat Function: Not used in PVP. Runs away to live to fight another day. If cornered, may use paralytic or deadly poisons. Not above the use of force lightning to disable a droid, but will almost never fight a thinking opponent. She will kill for food readily and is not too picky about what she eats.

Notable Possessions: A heavy bowcaster of custom build with extra large ammunition capacity.

History: Raised in secret by a human merchant family ashamed of her physical appearance, Hy'peria devoted most of her waking hours to solitary pursuits: reading, hiking, hunting, cooking, and biochemistry. Being alone never bothered her. She lived for the pleasure of triumph--a novel finished, a new secret hideaway in the woods surrounding her family home, a trophy kill, a new recipe, or isolating rare and useful alkaloids from wild plants or hormones or other useful chemicals from the glands and brains of local animals.

She only interacted with her family, whom she'd learned to bend to her every whim. They were happy to comply, to ensure she stayed away and never bothered their frequent visitors. When asked about Hy'peria, her family would say they'd hired an alien gardener and that "it" was not allowed in the house.

She would have persisted in this solitary existence if not for a family visitor, a merchant who had discovered her cabin while he was attempting to steal trade secrets. Stepping on one of Hy'peria's animal traps, a genius design using a concentrated gorg gland extract, the merchant was stuck with a needle and instantly had a stroke. Hy'peria enjoyed dissecting him and learned a lot about humanoids.

When Hy'peria's family discovered what she had done, she was forced to kill them, which was inconvenient, as it cut off her allowance and put her in danger of arrest. Unable to lay legitimate claim to her inheritance as a secret child, she stole everything of value and sold it at a fraction of its value to buy passage off planet. One available transport was on its way to Kashyk, where she'd read of a wilderness almost entirely untouched by civilization and with great hunting where she could continue her research, the Shadowlands.

Once there, she discovered her latent force abilities and evidence of several items of archaeological significance. She also met a young wookiee warrior, Lewdbacca, who was making too much noise near her dwelling after being caught in a carnivorous mushroom. She reluctantly saved his life to avoid the smell of his rotten corpse attracting scavengers. He told her she'd earned a life debt and promised to return. Hy'peria didn't believe him at first but thought he might be useful. She swore him to secrecy and asked only that he bring her supplies on a regular basis.

After a while, the wookiee fell in love with her and Hy'peria discovered she enjoyed manipulating him. She decided to use his love for her in an experiment, with moderate success--two hybrid children. Unfortunately, he broke his promise of secrecy and Hy'peria was forced to hire mercenaries to kill him and his entire family during a wedding rehearsal. She had only poisons to trade for the service, so she was not surprised when the killers decided to kidnap one of her children. She played this to her advantage, however, to shape her kidnapped daughter into a worthy apprentice.

Intent: To flesh out Siriwook's backstory and provide an antagonist who will manipulate Siriwook, trying to steer her toward the dark side--for character development.

Like a Wookie?

Force Sensitivity: Mistress.
Going to need some clarification here. Apprentice, knight, or master level is what we're looking for here, or an indication she's not Force sensitive at all. Because she may sometimes use Force lightning, it sounds like she is.

human/wookiee hybrid
If this is a demi-Wookie, please say so and link the appropriate submission for ease of reference.

It might also behoove you to rename the thread name to the name of your NPC rather than her title, but that is your prerogative if you don't wish to do so.

Once these changes are made, let me know and we should be good to go.

Yes, the human/wookiee hybrid is Siriwook and her sibling, from the demi-wookiee thread. You are correct. I meant it as a comment on Hy'peria's skill. Hy'peria is not, herself, a demi-wookiee.

Regarding skill, mistress is the feminine form of master.

Hy'peria has hair growing out of her body because she has Hyperia Trichosia, also known as werewolf syndrome.

I've made the changes you requested.

Better. My chief qualm now has to do with the Force sensitivity. I have not read anything in your sub or provided dev that would warrant master-level. As a matter of fact, I see nothing to indicate that she is even Force sensitive outside of the respective option in the sub template. I'm going to need a fair bit added to the history referencing Hy'peria's development as a Force user as well as a 10 post dev thread. Normally I would require more, but 10 posts should be enough on the condition she is not used for PvP combat.

I read the FAQ for answers to the level of force user concern and found this post: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/32930-npc-creation-faq-questions/#entry468179and the post that follows it, which is the answer to the question. This is just a supporting character, an antagonist, for Siriwook.

I'd be okay with downgrading her to a Knight-level if you don't buy her mastery. Hy'peria is using Sith Alchemy, the ability to speak through the Force, and the ability to alter memories. Here's a relevant post, freshly-minted, providing some more non-player character development: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/100468-sith-sorceress-of-the-shadowlands/

And a reference to recalled memory manipulation, in addition to identifying the voice-of-hope-within as Siriwook's mother, Hy'peria.

If I need more supporting threads, they are forthcoming. But I want to make a case for my intent. I'm not making a master-level character by proxy but an NPC for personal story development. That is, I don't foresee interaction between Hy'peria and members of the board in terms of combat or one-up-manship, especially considering Hy'peria's tendency to avoid both people and conflict. Nor am I trying to train Siriwook solely by NPC (she's apprenticed to a Twi'lek witch and learning in the traditional way). She's just a plot device.

But I read that, if you want an NPC who doesn't just die with one hit like most, you should use the NPC creation forum.

Thank you for your time.

Knight-level would seem more appropriate, especially given her prolonged and rather sheltered time in isolation.

Though the dev posts you linked are rather vague with no mention of Hy'peria by name, I'd be willing to waive the aforementioned dev thread if you make the downgrade to knight-level and state that Hy'peria will not be used in PvP threads. Your current intent is halfway there, but I'd like for it to be explicit.

Once that's done, I can chalk this up to pending.

Another Codex submission does not count for development. Development threads are IC threads that show the various aspects of your creation. Please remove the species sub from the Dev thread section and replace it with the threads you have done thus far.

That links back to this submission.

You need to link the RP that you gave to my judge here:
