Sith Holy Worlds Tour
Vassal State Sponsored Show
: Star-metal Concert
Band Touring: "Tuk'ata Tears"
Show Opener: "Bad Ewok"

VnHWhOx.png

Details: The well renowned occultist, Sith worshiping star-metal band Tuk'ata Tears is touring! Their journey into Sith space and through the Blackwall has been carefully curated so that the many millions of Sith citizens living within the Vassal Cloud might enjoy a few nights of rowdy festivities. There will also be merchandise available only to those that attend!

Background: Tuk'ata Tears has become a star-metal group of major note in recent years. Beginning as an underground "hangar rock band", this group gained more widespread popularity as it embraced Sith occultist themes and their sound grew more intense. Now they are galactic rockstars and they want to use their fame sing the praises of the Sith Order.

OOC Considerations: If you would like to participate but aren't Sith or TSO adjacent, that's totally cool! I do however recommend reading up a bit about our strict borders and take into consideration the site wide rumblings of major galactic change. This is simply food for thought, as I enjoy highlighting the interwoven nature of story telling on Chaos!

Objective One
Show #1
: Dromund Kaas - City of Moridahl
Nestled on the border between the Shadowed Quarter and the Crimson Slums, a grand arena has been prepared for a glorious night of revelry. This particular venue is the largest of the tour and therefore the band decided to make it their first. Visitors have been arriving in the grand, Sith Pureblood dominated city of Moridahl, some traveling from all the way across the galaxy to witness this extravagant state sanctioned show.

Concert goers have been marked off limits by the underground crime organizations for the duration of the event, security is tight at this venue and the several hundred thousand guests slated to participate will be monitored carefully. For those that could not secure tickets for the arena proper, the event will be broadcast at a handful of other locations throughout the city. Technological displays and small feats of sorcery are bound to amplify this band's already astounding showmanship.

Objective Two
Show #2
: Korriban - City of Dreshdae
City streets have been meticulously cleaned by hoards of undead attendants, promotional banners have been raised in preparation, and the City of Dreshdae has experienced a population boom as travelers from the vassal cloud (and even farther afield) have gathered for what is promised to be the rock show of the century. This venue is only slightly smaller but provides an open air experience. Slated to start precisely at sunset, this show is bound to be raucous and offer some wild pyrotechnics.

Speeder and ship parking packages were sold with many of the tickets, but plenty of people will also be arriving by foot or other more pedestrian means. Since this venue is slightly more remote, the nearby fairgrounds has sold camping passes with a number of the tickets to allow event-goers to safely stay the night.

BYOO
Anywhere between the two host planets. Perhaps you are an enterprising business person who wants to get a look at what state sponsorship could do for you. Or maybe you're a hard working member of the Sith Imperial Sanitation Authority and you're working this as a contracted gig. There are many possibilities for story telling with such a big event going on and causing such a stir. If you don't want to write in Sith space because you don't think it fits your character's narrative, you are also welcome to BYOO to a planet the band might tour on after leaving the Vassal Cloud.

EN ROUTE TO DROMUND KAAS

Her personal security droid, Zee, piloted the sleek Santhe Challenger through Sith Order space. With the Blackwall in place, the droid was more valuable than ever, connected to Vanir Technology's DarkNet. It allowed them communicate as the heavily censored HoloNet was often down. Even more odd was the band, Persephone couldn't decide if they were state sponsored or not. Yet they were popular beyond the reaches of Sith Order territory. Having been towing the straight and narrow, it was good to spread her wings and do something a normal teenager would do. A music festival.

"Are there are cute boys in House Veruna? Preferably not blonde."

[ Miss Persephone may I remind you the rules your parents have in place for courtship.] Of course Zee felt the need to chime in.

"I'm aware Zee. However, a young lady likes to be escorted to dinner once and again. I'm not looking for anything serious. Its good to meet new people. Experience new things. Such as this music festival. It's no different."

The droid made something that sounded like a scoff of disbelief. Maybe because she was asking Enshid, who wasn't quite a friend, not quite an enemy. Enshid was though on her parents short list of appropriate sentients she could have friendships with. For the past two years life had been very strict for the young heiress and at this point, she had just grown to accept the rules.

"Not to mention my introduction to society. I'll need an escort and I can't end up with some poor boy I don't know, forced to take me to parties. That would be embarrassing, wouldn't you think Enshid? Surely your family has similar rules."

"What's wrong with blondes? But no. Or if this is, I haven't been paying attention. I've been thrown in the deep end with the jobs I have to do."

This was one of the few breaks Enshid was able to get from trying to help work with the People. She had at least been able to stop a few incidents between the nobility and the common people but it was hard work. Enshid was just pleased to get away from the house for a little while, even if it was for some...music performance. It didn't seem like it would be her choice of music, but she wanted to make friends. You didn't make friends by refusing their offers to meet up, and so...she was here.

"But to answer your question, no. I don't believe it's embarrassing. I've made a habit of showing to parties alone. It...makes a statement. That I'm there of my own accord. That I don't need to be escorted."

Sure, perhaps there were other members of the nobility who'd prefer the protection of an escort or feel like it was expected of them to have one, but the idea of needing someone to protect her just...frustrated Enshid. If she was going to be in a nest of vipers, she was going to defend herself. It was interesting to see that Persephone needed the security droid...Hopefully it wouldn't give her family any ideas about her needing one.

Show #2: Korriban - City of Dreshdae

Sibylla Abrantes Sibylla Abrantes
Lysander's two-wheeled machine ripped across the wastelands, the high-pitched buzzing of the tuned Ion engine cutting through the air like a blade. The skies stretched out with reds and fiery oranges as the sun slipped into the horizon. Lacking a fancy navigation system to guide him, the acolyte carved out his own path through the rocks, having only the mental map etched into his mind. Along the way, he whispered that there would be no tu’kata in the shadows, nor any other predators ready to pounce, so that he could just focus on the thrill of riding.

After nearly an hour of kicking up clouds of dust, the city of Dreshdae finally came into view. The rush of adrenaline was already present long before the concert had begun; though, it also rushed from the thought of something else. In truth, he was surprised that Sibylla was coming to visit him here on Korriban. It sparked a warmth within that was rarely ever shown.

Carefully, he eased the vehicle among countless rows of shuttles lining the street, the sharp click of the kickstand sounded off as it pressed firmly into the ground. Instinctively, he powered down the engine and swung a leg over to dismount. As he removed the black helmet, he angled it with grace, letting the handlebar slip through the open visor to hold it. Although their kind was infamous for atrocities across the galaxy, petty theft didn't appear to be one of them.

Swathed in dark fabrics from head to toe, the blonde was a mere shadow among the gathering crowds. A black shirt and pants hugged his lithe frame, while a leather jacket and worn riding boots completed the look.

The promotional banners, much like war flags, swayed all around from the evening breeze while drawing closer to the entrance. A single hand slipped into the inner pocket of his jacket, feeling the two tickets he purchased from Naamino. Lysander was very certain the Zabrak charged him the regular price despite them being from a package deal, but given the stark contrast in their upbringing, it was easier to overlook, seeing it as nothing more than a way to support his brother in iron.

But the Sith's fingers instead curled around the small datapad; its screen flickered to life at his gentle touch, and he wasted no time in pulling up a conversation from earlier in the day.

I officially made it, and in one piece too! Now the only thing missing is you.

Anticipation the likes of which he'd never felt was coursing through his veins. It was as if his poly-rhythmic heartbeats were gearing up for the starmetal concert that was now just hours away. Naami felt grateful that he'd had help preparing for everything, was thankful that all he needed to do was keep his cool a little while longer. Soon, Leshanna Dromar Leshanna Dromar would arrive at the agreed upon pick up location where he and Haro Aven Haro Aven would whisk her away for a road-trip, a wild night of epic music, and a cozy camp out.

The pair of enamored boys spent nearly two weeks preparing for this moment through excited scheming and diligent forethought. Naamino was the mission leader, the one that had secured tickets and hatched the plan in the first place, but his buddy Haro was instrumental every step of the way. In truth, the zabrak found a sense of calm comfort in knowing that Haro was navigating a lot of the same powerful emotions that he was regarding Lesh. In fact, he'd recently heard all about how the half-kage's date had gone with the girl and Naami intended to learn from his friend's feedback about what seemed to make her happiest.

Together, they'd put ton of time into setting up a cargo speeder so that it was both functional and aesthetically pleasing for their particularly precious passenger. Naami had taken pains to ensure they had every bit of equipment they'd need onboard to ensure their overnight adventure was successful. He'd packed the min-refrigeration unit that normally resided in his dorm, to have some fresh food and cold drinks on hand. There were other sweet little touches: a big nest of cozy blankets and padding for a camp bed, ample snacks, and even sparkly lights to decorate the interior.

By the time that Lesh arrived, Naamino was beaming fiercely and he straightened up with immense pride. Puffed up about the adventure he and Haro were surprising her with, the zabrak asked in an eager tone.

"You ready to rock?"

Objective Two

Show #2
: Korriban - City of Dreshdae
Having insisted upon driving, Naami was tense with excitement for the several hours it took them to get from Kor'ethyr to Dreshdae. His focus and intensity belied the extreme enthusiasm that was boiling just beneath the surface. Thankfully Haro had "borrowed" a vehicle, brilliantly rigging it with a decent sound system, and the zabrak made sure they were all very familiar with Tuk'ata Tears' discography by the end of the journey.

Arriving with ample time to the venue, they were able to check in to the fairgrounds where they could stow their speeder, even having time for a quick stretch and a snack. Soon though the crowds started to swell and it was clear that pre-concert festivities were nearly in full swing.

Naami wore black combat boots, pants that fit snugly at the ankle and hips but were loose elsewhere, a hooded drop tank, and a long asymmetrical poncho over the top of it all until he inevitably warmed up in the crowd. He turned to his friends, basically electric with eagerness but the only outward sign of that was the way his jaw and hands clenched occasionally, as if venting some of the energy through the tense little movements.

"Wanna get the lay of the land? Bet we see a few familiar faces here. Oh— Lesh," icy blue eyes widened a bit when he considered her, as if for the first time.

"Wow… you look-" he couldn't quite put words to the feeling and the tips of his ears threatened to color pink, Naami suddenly felt overheated.

"You look like a rockstar!"

Why was she even hear? Music wasn't exactly the distraction she had been looking for. This would just get in the way of her main goal. But her family had given her a ticket considering they were from Dromund Kaas. At the end of the day, she didn't hate her family enough to refuse the ticket so here she was, surrounded by a bunch of energetic and hyped up concert goers, meanwhile she just stood with her arms folded and a scowl on her face as if some gammorean had spat in her cereal. None of this was her style. If she was going to listen to music, she'd do it alone. When had some of these people even bathed? They stunk from here to Coruscant.

"Maybe Korriban would've been better...Less people. Less of a stench."

She muttered, mostly to herself as she wandered the concert grounds. Whilst she was born and raised on Dromund Kaas, Moridahl hadn't been a city she had visited herself. It had the stink that came with having slaves. It wasn't something she normally cared about, but it was a smell that caused her little unwanted passenger to speak up. Or at least try to speak up. Andi normally did her best to ignore it but that wasn't always possible. Hm...Maybe the music would actually be a good thing to listen to. If it gets too loud, she might not be able to hear her own thoughts...and that was fine by her. She just stretched her arms out and went off to find the closest wall to lean against whilst she waited for the show.

Varins brow creased as he tried to decide what to wear. It wasn't technically like a celebratory party he had been to a few times around, no this was very different. He had never been to a concert, never even heard of the band, but he had been getting better about leaving his room for training. Why not do it to unwind, loosen up some, enjoy himself, or try to. He eyed the poster noting the “weapons are strictly prohibited” text and groaned to himself.

“You can’t be serious, I actually have to trust some unknown regular security?” He sneered at the thought of putting his life in the hand of some possible highly untrained stranger. He went back to eyeing the clothes he laid out trying to decide what it was he wanted to wear. He certainly did not want to overdress for the situation. Giving a quiet sigh he grabbed his daily training attire, loose long sleeve black with maroon runic designs, his black sweat pants and promptly tucked the sleeves into his black combat boots. It’s a cold night but the cold never really got to him.

Noticing the time he grabbed his ticket and his cloak then left his dorm room towards a small parking garage. Gazing at the various vehicles of strangers Varin had a peculiar taste in mind, a speeder. Light, fast and relatively ignored by other drivers. Mounting on the closest one he ripped out some wires and began tangling them, igniting the thrusters to idle. A few revs of the engine later and it was warm enough to make the journey.

Without second thought he peeled out of the parking garage and towards the outskirts of Vardin and into the dark red sands of Korriban. He remembered how to get to the concert, whether this speeder will return in one piece remains to be seen.

Within an hour's time Varin had made it into the city of the concert, looking around at various lights listening to various sounds, it was a bit jarring for the young sith, growing up in a mostly forest planet. Dreshdae was a very alien city to the boy, but his know-how of navigation would not fail him now. It didn’t take long to find the banner clad building accompanied by people that had a hard time finding parking. Varin would just park “his” speeder around the corner and make his way to the building. The influx of crowd and the noise was staggering, the young sith paused for just a split second to really think on if he truly wanted to do this.

“Nope, I paid for this ticket and by Bogan I am going to use it.” Walking with intent he picked up his pace to get in line in hopes to not wait too long. This was certain to be a night he would never forget.
