I began writing this character of mine inspired by the 'Light Sith' arc in SWTOR. I enjoyed it. It felt right. It was fun to play a Sith who genuinely tried to be a benevolent person in service to his Empire, just as a Jedi is normally a patriot to the Galactic Republic, only following the Sith Code instead of the Jedi Code. From what i've seen around this site, most people do not even like the Light Sith idea and think Sith are all meant to be the same malicious warmongers they're made out to be in the movies. I wanted to do something different, so I made Mullarus.
The way I see it, the Sith are just like the Jedi, only with far less restrictions, and that is what causes most to choose to be more 'evil' than Jedi. That's also why many Jedi 'turn to the Dark Side' for their own personal agendas, because the Sith welcome self-preservation and personal advancement over all else, if that is what you prefer. That's why I actually find the Sith to be more morally correct than the Jedi (Sue me), because the Sith believe in freedom of choice, unlike Jedi.
I love this discussion.
