Dominique Vexx Dominique Vexx

Cassian's lips curved faintly, the way they often did when Dominique's poise met his patience. He leaned against the stone railing overlooking the grotto, the quiet lap of the water and the filtered sunlight making the air feel almost domestic despite the weight of their titles.

"I do." he said after a moment. "Perhaps too well. The hours spent ensuring others don't collapse the structure beneath them. Decisions, pressure, expectations… none of it leaves much time for stillness." His gaze followed the slow movement of light over her profile. "So when someone like you takes the time to meet me here away from the boardrooms and comm channels, I don't take it lightly."

He folded his hands behind his back, posture measured but at ease. "As for what I'd like to talk about—" His tone softened, sincerity threading through. "Anything, tell me more about yourself. About you, not the director...but Dominique Vexx."

Dominique smiled over at Cassian for a moment before she turned her eyes out over the grotto.

"You don't ascend to being a Director through merit and recognition, Cassian. It isn't even just by who you know, or which faction you support. There's a reason we can negotiate arrangements with even the Sith Empire." A slow, quiet expulsion of breath slipped between her lips. "Who am I?" She turned her head to look back at him with a smile on her lips. "There are some riddles even their owner has difficulties answering at times. But that makes the effort all the more rewarding, in the end, doesn't it?"

A more energetic laugh accompanied her laying a hand atop Cassian's shoulder. "Well, I do enjoy a nice stroll in a sculpted garden. Perhaps one you could almost get lost in and not worry about the galaxy's endless wants. Then, when you've managed to release the tension, some fine dining with companions. People you can discuss the goings on without trying to out maneuver someone in the process." Though she'd unavoidably consider how information might fit into the larger picture. It was habitual. "And the opportunity to listen to an expertly arranged symphony, or watch a precisely choreographed performance, of course."

"There are a few other things, as well."
Dominique pivoted so her other hand could pat Cassian's chest. "But I'm afraid I've already confided those in someone else. Someone... dear to us both." ( Sibylla Abrantes Sibylla Abrantes )

"Now, then," Dominique peered into his eyes, "why don't you tell me what your favorite color is?"
