Simon, the companion droid

Intent: The primary intent of the droid was that of a Service droid prior to Asteria taking him with her. He serves as a companion to Asteria deWinter, his duties best described as protocol/housekeeping droid.. In her absence, he also tends to her Sith Infiltrator though he can't pilot or even co-pilot the ship due to his shape.

AD 7007 droid was a Service droid within a castle made of ice on Hoth, serving her mother's friend Victoria. During his time there, he held most of his form hidden in a round-like casing moving about through tiny wheels hidden in his heels, exposing himself only when performing his duties. He used only Binary for communication. When Asteria grabbed hold of him, she checked every hidden compartment within him, inspecting wire after wire like the droid struggled and protested to it, with both his Binary and once by revealing a small jack that caused a small piece of her body to be electrified though nothing of the strength to actually bring her any harm. Only after she had been done with him, Shery deWinter made note of the droid's "fear" of her and how he was now hers. After such words, the droid completely dropped the casing which protected him, revealing that along side his large head he also had a completely functioning body with limbs. While still there, the droid proved to fear Asteria more for what she had done than the actual villain of the story.

Short while after that, Asteria turned eighteen on which day she was given three gifts, one of them being a voice card. This was later inserted into the droid, named Simon since his discovery, by Asteria's aunt Isobel Starkiller.

Since that time, Simon has had multiple appearances through out Asteria's adventures and every day life. He resides where she resides which is most commonly the Sith Infiltrator, however on occasion, it may also be the family house on Spira or the room she has on Endelaan. While he has wheels on his feet, he doesn't use them as often, instead, walking slowly in his form. For the droid, Asteria is his one and true owner and thus Mistress. He obeys her every command, however, his logistics dictate that he sometimes discusses things with her, offering other solutions. While back on Hoth, he had a Restraining bolt that restricted his movements and made him completely submissive to the point of being unable to argue commands. The device used for him was controlled by his previous owner, Victoria, who was long dead before the arrival of Asteria and her mother and thus the device has been lost. Asteria also removed the bolt completely, allowing him to fully flourish from his abilities and he is now capable of learning and understanding as well.

Because of his oddly shaped body, he was never given additional capability of piloting a ship, not before Asteria nor after. It would be useful to him. His human-like fingers hide jacks within them. On one finger, he has the jack he uses to communicate with the ship and other large computers while on the other, he possesses his only source of defense, a jack which on contact with another sends jolts of electricity which are far too weak to actually harm another.
