STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Strengths
Silas is extremely skilled in the art of combat thanks to extreme training under his former Master, Kamon Vondiranach. Having also been secluded from society for a large portion of his life, he has developed an extreme sense of inner peace which allows him to go about his duties with an almost monk-like atmosphere about him. In this way he is able to do the hardest of tasks, despite the heavy weight it would, and does, apply to his soul.

Weaknesses
Like all Hapans, he's nightblind and can barely see even in near darkness. He needs full light or he's almost completely useless unless he has the Force. Additionally, though he is strong, he isn't well known and thus has trust issues with a lot of people. He is also a ticking time bomb, as he has a small tumor inside of his brain that is slowly killing him, and often causes extreme pains which send him into bouts of extreme focus.

APPEARANCE:
Silas is, by all accounts, small despite his stature. He makes up for his lack of comparable weight in the fact that his wiry body is extremely lithe and flexible. He generally resigns himself to simple tunic and britches with flared jerkin for sturdiness over the top. Black gloves adorn his fingers, and boots rise up from his feet. He does not wear any adornment upon his head, though he does have strikingly ice blue eyes, a unique trait. In general, he bears strong resemblance to what he is: a hapan.

BIOGRAPHY:
Silas was second class. Amongst his people he was nothing more than a breeding stick to hopefully bring new girls into being. Even as a youngster he was treated with a severe lack of respect, often shunned from the tasks that he desired most, and unable to obtain the education that he very much desires. He was expendable, worthless. Even his mother wanted little to nothing to do with him except to give him some chore or other to do. His existence was futile, worthless, and he felt the pressure of worthlessness weighing down upon him every day. It threatened to grind him into the ground, turn him into nothing but a mindless drone to work the fields.

But it was worse than that. Anti-Jedi sentiment was still present among the Hapans, and Silas knew that he had the ability to touch the Force. He'd felt it many times throughout his childhood, in rare occurrences of bizarre actions that could only be linked back to him. If he were to come out and make known that he had the ability to touch the Force, his second class status would be dropped even lower. He would be exterminated, expunged, wiped from existence. His kind were not tolerated.

As soon as he became of breeding age his mother started exhibiting him in the hopes of selling him as a stud. He was quickly purchased by a merchant for her daughter, and would likely have produced beautiful young women if he had remained. Instead, he stole from them, purchased an out-dated fighter, and left his homeworld before his life could become even worse. He would no longer be subjected to the cruelty of his people. Truthfully, he would rather die than endure that any longer. So he fled into the outer reaches of the galaxy and set up a meager existence there, working odds and ends jobs to make due. His existence was poor, but at least he was free to do as he pleased.

He managed to scrape together enough money to buy parts for his fighter, and set to work modifying it himself. It didn't take long for him to figure out that he actually had a decent talent for mechanics. He was able to bring the ship as up to date as possible without completely ruining it. It took a while, but it was eventually in working order and that was all that he could ask for.

It was as he was working on his fighter that he encountered Rogue Jedi Master Kamon Vondiranach. The man approached Silas while he was installing new engine parts and indicated that he was on a journey of sorts to find himself. Silas could understand that, but he didn't exactly know what that meant for him, so he told Kamon that was good for him and that he understood what he meant, but questioned the reason for speaking with a mechanic working on a ship that didn't belong to the Jedi. Kamon quickly explained that he knew Silas could touch the Force, which gave the young Hapan pause. This was the chance he'd been hoping for someday.

Kamon offered to train Silas in the ways of the Force, and the ways of the Rogue Jedi. An agreement was made and for years Kamon never left the backwater world, spending every day with Silas and teaching him the wonderful gifts of the Force. It was in this way that Silas grew stronger and stronger. As he did, he felt a strange desire grow within him, a desire to return to his homeworld and punish those who'd tormented him while he was but a child. Kamon cautioned him against this, warned him of the pull of the darkside, and taught him to control it. For this, he was grateful.

Several years into the training, Kamon informed him that he must leave, and should he not return, Silas was to hunt for him. This seemed rather foreboding to him, so Silas questioned his Master, but Kamon would not divulge any further information. When he left, Silas remained behind, training himself and his body in preparation for inevitable warfare against Sith and other darkside forces. A month passed. Then two. Then six. Then it was a year. Then two. At this point Silas was certain that Kamon was never going to return, so he packed his few things into his ship, clipped his lightsaber to his belt, and flew off in search of his Master within the vast galaxy.

It took a long time for Silas to find him. When he did, Kamon had fallen. A darkness had been placed upon the man that could not be removed from his being, and Silas was firmly aware that the only way to free his Master from the horror that was placed on him was to kill him. He engaged his former master in combat, and won. A fatal blow was struck, and as Kamon lay dying, Silas cradled his Master's head in his lap and looked upon him with sad eyes, but no tears. Kamon told him then that he was the Master now, for he was able to do what must be done despite the consequences. Reverent bowing of the head was offered, and as Kamon passed on, Silas took him to be preserved before sending a simple message to the mans children and former wife.

When they came to find Kamon they would not find Silas there, but they would find Kamon appearing as he once had, a resplendent light in the darkness now one with the Force. And now it was Silas' turn to take up the mantle of the Rogue Jedi, and he vowed that he would do his Master proud and make the galaxy a safer place in his stead.
