Sierra Lenovan

NAME: Sierra Lenovan
FACTION: OOCly joined the CIS about two seconds ago
RANK: -
SPECIES: 75% Rattataki, 25% Arkanian
AGE: Born roughly 3,988 years ago, only been conscious and aging for 23 of those years.
SEX: Female
HEIGHT: 5' 7"
WEIGHT: 131 lbs
EYES: Pale blue
HAIR: Black
SKIN: Silver-gray with stark white marks from the carbonite.
FORCE SENSITIVE: Yes. Not insanely so (she's no Chosen One), but yes.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :
Tactical Brilliance: Sierra has great knowledge of the world of battlefield tactics - known to some as 'the art of war'. However, any knowledge beyond small-scale skirmishes of two or three ships to a side is purely theoretical. (Strength)

Good Pilot: She's not the best smuggler pilot out there, but she's not bad either, and that's saying a lot, especially in her (former-ish) profession. This comes with some mechanical know-how, but not much. (Strength)

Gift for Premonition: Part of what makes her such a good tactician is that she has rudimentary premonitionary abilities. A feeling will nudge at her until she acknowledges it - and it is usually undefinable and partially subconscious, like a hunch. (Strength)

Follower, Not a Leader: Sierra does not like to lead. At all. Admittedly, this makes her easier to command, but if she's ever relied upon to make decisions for herself and others, rather than provide tactical analysis and advice, she will not do well. (Neutral Quality)

Carbonite Freezing: Carbonite freezing is never a good thing. Aside from being fething starving when she wakes up, Sierra was graced with nasty white scarlike markings all over her skin. Not really an issue. However, her vision was also affected by the long freeze, therefore resulting in permanent blindness upon awakening. People are vague, blurry, dim shapes even in bright light, and her surroundings are lost in permanent twilight. With training in the Force (once her sensitivity is discovered), she could learn to fly again, but she will never see properly. The faint infrared vision she inherited from her Arkanian ancestors has been eradicated completely. (Weakness)

Physically Handicapped: Sierra will never be a proper soldier - or, y'know, a normal member of society. She was born with a twisted right knee, making it difficult for her to walk properly, and the bones below her right knee didn't fully develop. She must wear a brace or her leg would almost certainly break into many tiny fragments. She also can't move any faster than a hobble. (Weakness)

APPEARANCE:
Sierra is, first and foremost, tall. Her skin is silvery-gray like that of a Rattataki, but she has long black hair that speaks of other alien blood in her genetic code. Her eyes are larger than normal and pale blue, making her look permanently startled. Her right leg has a horribly twisted knee - people who first meet her (who care) generally assume that it's broken. Her right leg is also skinny and about half a foot shorter than her right leg, because of the much smaller, and more fragile, bones there. Because of this, she always wears a metal brace with a basic 'peg leg' on the end of it, something she kept after her mother had enough money to buy a prosthetic replacement when Sierra was in her early twenties.

BIOGRAPHY:
Sierra's father was a Rattataki bounty hunter in Imperial employ during the Cold War. No, not the victor of the Great Hunt. Her mother was a half-Rattataki, half-Arkanian smuggler. No, not the Voidhound. They met in a bar one night, and one thing led to another. Her mother, Rekkida, wound up pregnant. There was a certain irony to it - Rekkida herself had been conceived under very similar circumstances. The birth went smoothly, but the baby was born with multiple defects - brittle bone disease in her lower right leg, and a twisted knee.

Sierra's early life, from birth until about ten years old, was spent on her mother's ship, the Tenth Hawk. Rekkida raised her daughter as best she could, giving her her own last name instead of her fathers, and teaching her how to shoot, how to fly, and how to slice. While Sierra would never become anything better than an average shot in the smuggler's world, she was a good pilot and an excellent slicer. But the intricacies of war always interested the young alien, and she sliced her way through different levels of security to read tactical texts, descriptions of famous battles, and other helpful items. When Sie's twenty-first birthday rolled around, she was, theoretically, a mastermind. Practically, she had little to no experience in any spacefight larger than a skirmish of three-on-three at most. Rekkida was very proud, nonetheless - her daughter's tactical insight had helped her to become the leader of a small smuggling ring.

Unfortunately, Rekkida had rivals in her business - bitter, ruthless rivals. They kidnapped Sie to lure her mother into a trap, and it worked. The furious hybrid woman appeared at the base, taking out many of her rival's people with her ship's turbolasers before landing and doing the killing face-to-face. Her enemies had underestimated her - and for a moment, when she stood defiantly in front of her rival, it looked as though she might actually win.

Except, she didn't. Her rival shot her dead, giving Sierra just time to scream for her mother once before shooting the young woman in the shoulder, sending her stumbling back into the carbonite freezer. She froze...and that is how she has remained ever since.

SHIP:
Sadly, not yet. Although she is currently frozen in the Dauntless Ranger.
