RATIONALE
Established years ago by a young and entrepreneurial Kellen Sieron, the company passed to Rilus Mercer Sieron when his uncle died. Despite the sudden change in lifestyle, Rilus took the responsibility in stride and adapted it into his livelihood.
DESCRIPTION
Approximately a dozen years ago, Kellen Sieron, more reputable of the two brothers Mercer and Kellen, decided to follow his dreams much like his brother did. However, his dreams didn't involve drifting the space-lanes looking for a quick mark and a variable payout. Instead, the at-the-time youthful K. Sieron decided to stake out his claim in the galactic corporate world. The going was hard, and his start up failed on multiple occasions. He was never put out, though, and he came to find purchase on Doldur. Here, Sieron Works was founded. A small company that made utilities like belts, holsters, personal communicators, and the like.
As the company grew, so too did Kellen's ambition and money-grabbiness. He became something of a miser who paid his employees little in favour of making the company grow, gaining better materials, and other such things. In an unhappy workplace, the CEO was unknowingly poisoned, and his life cut short. This took place right after the new christening of the company to Sieron NovaTech, and its growth into small arms and even more general goods. Faced with a dilemma, the company's legal team set to find an heir or will. No heir was found, but Kellen's will dictated to bring his brother's heir into the fold, if any existed. With some digging, Rilus Mercer Sieron was discovered. He was sent for, educated, and put into new position.
Under the govern of R. M. Sieron, Sieron NovaTech produces the same goods it always has, yet the employees are paid more, the goods are slightly cheaper, and Rilus takes a smaller cut for himself. In a sly tactic, this produces cheaper goods of higher quality, which sell more and keep profit margins up. In case of any depressions, though, Rilus keeps true to his origin and has a tendency to 'privately supplement' company funds.
