Private Siblings by war

Enough time had passed in stars, she needed to go see someone who had been just as close as yasha once was to her, a former fellow battlemaster know as Adenn Kyramud Adenn Kyramud . She was nervous to go and see him again after the battle, ahe heard that he had been injured badly in a fight but came out of it alive, this made star chuckle thinking about it.

She got a ship prepped and sent a message to adenn she would arrive within at least a days time. Within the hour she was out into the vastness of space and watched as it turned to streaks of light

Present time
Above tracyn

Her shuttle would emerge from hyperspace, slowing down as she looked towards the planet before her and made her way down towards its surface.setting the shuttle down and took a big breath and stood from her seat and started towards the ramp hoping to find adenn and not a lot of armed troops ready to shoot her

When Star had requested to speak with Adenn again, he had been surprised, though happy to come into contact with her again. They had been closer once, but time and war had lessened their contact, so this meeting was one Adenn was looking forward to. However, Clan Mortui was cautious with their leader, seeing as many believed they had failed to protect their Alor properly, despite him having ordered them back. Nonetheless, Adenn was glad for the support of his clan, and appreciative of the combat medic that was by his side on the landing platform, the one there to keep an eye on his health. Adenn had convinced the others that he'd be fine, and if they were so concerned, they could watch from afar. Aside from Adenn and the combat medic, no one else was there, as this was more a matter of close friends, and nothing official, as far as Adenn knew at least.

Standing on the platform with a slight smile on his face, Adenn was dressed in simple clothes the color of Clan Mortui, with the symbol emblazoned on the chest. Aside from that, he was unarmed and open, for the combat medic was there should things take a turn for the worse, but that was the unofficial reason. As Star exited her craft, she'd simply see Adenn and the medic there, though Adenn still bore the wounds he'd attained on Wayland. Standing there with his left arm and eye missing, Adenn nonetheless had a smile on his face. Moving to embrace her once the ramp was down, Adenn spoke up to greet her.
"Su'cuy gar Star! It's been too long vode, how have you been?"

The ramp touched the ground and hydraulics hissed lightly, out stepped the emerald dragon herself clad in her battlemaster armor with no less weapons then she usually carried on her. Stepping off she embraced adenn carefully and patted his back

su'cuy gar vode, considering the times I'd say alls well

She said with a smile, looking out among the land with a deep breath before she looked to him

hah! They couldn't take you out fully i see! Id expect no less from the alor of clan mortui

Adenn Kyramud Adenn Kyramud

Grinning at her, Adenn nodded in response. Turning to take in the landscape as she did, they were both greeted by the city and the countryside. Clan Mortui took a practical view to such things, and that meant the city was as much a part of the landscape as it was separate, creating a beautiful landscape of technology and nature. While not as integrated as where Adenn's wedding had been, this city was more advanced technologically by comparison, as evidenced by the many speeders and Mandalorians moving around.

Smiling at being able to see his clan in such a manner, Adenn chuckled as he watched some children playing in the streets below, being watched by various adults. Keeping his gaze on the city, Adenn snorted at Star's comment, before responding.
"You can be certain that they tried though. Those Sith were vicious chakaars I tell you, but I'd say I came out on top." Turning to face Star, Adenn's grin grew. "But hey, they weren't the ones to do all this damage to me, well aside from the arm. That was the mountain blowing up, and let me tell you, that was one beautiful explosion. Nearly killed me, but hey, it ended up killing their entire army at the mountain, and certainly injured some of the bigger dar'jetii."

Turning, Adenn placed his hand on Star's shoulder, directing them both towards the building that the landing pad was attached to. It too was as much a part of nature as everything else in this city. Aside from that, it was a rather utilitarian building, with no obvious markings of importance, only carrying the Clan Mortui symbol on its side.
"All that said, I'll have to get back on the one eventually, repay her taking my arm and all." Making his way towards the building, Adenn's smile remained constant, though it's usual joy was lessened. "Come Star, let's take a seat somewhere more comfortable. We'll also have a good view of the city, and then we can talk more in depth if you wish."

So peaceful, it reminded her to much of mandalore in its golden times, she had to look away after a few minutes as she let a breath out and grinned at him as she laughed and patted his shoulder turning with him as they started towards for normal lookimg building

indeed, I have much to discuss brother...unfortunately some...not so easy to speak of topics that I want to speak to you without anyone else around

Her voice grew serious, a voice that would've only been heard within the sundari palace when they discussed matters regarding the clans, one that he for sure would knew what she wanted to say would be serious

Walking along at a leisurely pace, Adenn simply enjoyed the view as they walked. When they finally entered the building, Adenn led them to the right, out towards a terrace overlooking the nearby city. Upon hearing Star speak, Adenn knew whatever this matter was, it would be important. Sighing lightly, Adenn responded.
"Very well Star. Nobody'll hear us talking."

When they reached the terrace, Adenn simply nodded to the medic accompanying them. Receiving a salute in return, the medic took position by the door, making sure no one would enter. Crossing onto the open terrace, they were greeted by an open view of the city, along with numerous tables with chairs. It was clear of all people at the moment, the only people in sight being those down in the city. Turning to a panel near the door, Adenn entered a code, before turning and explaining it to Star.
"I just activated a slight jammer. Nobody'll be able to hear us, and nothing will be able to record. Anything said here will remain here, between us."

Motioning to a nearby table with a great view, Adenn made his way there. Offering a chair to Star, Adenn sat down across from her. When he spoke again, his voice was tired, though there was quiet strength in him.
"So ner'vod, what is it you wish to discuss?"

She was glad no one else would be around, the info she had would be ground breaking. Walking with him, stardust looked over the city from the terrace and smiled lightly before she looked forward

thank you ner'vod

When they reached the terrace stardust looked about the better view of the city, not exactly paying attention to Adenn Kyramud Adenn Kyramud before she glanced over when he spoke, closing her eyes she gathered her courage for what was to come as she came and took a seat at the table as she let a breath out

first off I want to start by clarifying a few things that may have spread recently....the biggest being clan solus bought slaves from the sith

She let that sit in and sighed

the answer is yes...but...it was those mandalorian trapped on mandalore still enslaved by the sith and whoever had them...we bought ALL the enslaved mandalorians on mandalore...and freed them...at such a high cost I had never ever seen...

She looked away

but there is more...some truths ive come to learn that shaken my trust for kaine and broken it

Merely nodding in reply to Star, Adenn allowed a small smile to grace his features as he simply looked out into the city. Sitting quietly, Adenn allowed Star to speak her peace, not daring to interrupt her. However, the smile fell off his face as he heard what she said, particularly about the slaves. Mandalore, both the greatest achievement of the Mando'ade, and the greatest and most important failure. They had all failed to keep it out of the hands of the Sith, and their people had suffered for it.

Turning his head to gaze at Star, Adenn reached over with his one good arm and firmly grasped her shoulder. Giving her a grim smile, Adenn spoke.
"Thank you." Sighing in disappointment, both for himself and all who had failed, Adenn continued on. "We all failed to protect them, failed to help them. I thought them all dead or experimented on, after we moved to free them. My own clan took in many we freed in our attack, many more returned to their own clans. But we couldn't get them all, couldn't save everyone the dar'jetii had taken. Shab... I truly thank you for freeing our people Star."

Releasing her shoulder with one last squeeze, Adenn leaned back in his chair, focusing on her as she mentioned Kaine. Grimacing somewhat, Adenn sighed once more.
"What has been said of him that hasn't been repeated or lied about before?" Sighing once again, Adenn turned his gaze towards the city, eyes hardening, even as a frown set in. "We both know he's a very devisive character, always has been, always will be. I don't trust him as much as I used to, then again, I don't trust most everyone as much as I used to. Vod an we may be, but the years have been long and hard, the wars moreso, and far too frequent. That said, while I hardly agree with many things he does, sometimes he has a point, and is often the only one truly willing to keep pushing. What happened ner'vod, what broke your trust in him?"

Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae

Did she feel honored? Was she honored that she had managed to save everyone off of mandalore? Would anyone else see that as a honorable thing or would they see it as some act of compliance to the sith....doubt was once again washed away feelimg the hand of Adenn Kyramud Adenn Kyramud as she offered a small smile and looked forward as the next thing came.

How was she to word this? Tell adenn that their sister and friend their mand'alor was murdered by the man who had fought beside them in countless battles. Her face scrunched up as she tried to form the words several times before she sat back and looked to the sky before she looked him right in the eyes

kaine killed yasha cadera, he killed my sister, our friend, the only mand'alor I've followed...

She let that set in, then followed

you may now ask, wait yashas not dead shes recovering and happy...my friend I

Tears formed in her eyes as she wiped them best she could

it is merely a vong symbiote posing as her...the yasha we know is dead adenn...she is...with the others in peace at last

Nodding to the small smile, Adenn knew doubt must have been eating her apart. It was normal, but people would always doubt their good actions, especially if they came about from dark circumstances. Once more Adenn observed the city, taking in his people, happy for their safety. Even then, Adenn knew it was fleeting, and they would eventually march to war once more. Patiently waiting for Star to speak once more, Adenn barely noticed her staring at him, but when he did, he directed his full attention to her once more.

What she said brought a snort from Adenn, even as his eyes narrowed. Before he could say anything, Star was already answering. Inhaling sharply as she said it was merely a biot, Adenn turned his gaze away. Wracking his brain for his recent interactions with Yasha, Adenn saw nothing truly out of the ordinary. Taking in another sharp breath, Adenn brought his hand to his face, running it down slowly. Letting out a sigh, Adenn spoke once more, voice disbelieving, broken yet hopeful that it wasn't true.

"You say a biote is in her place... but how? I have seen her with my own eyes, spoken with her, broken though she may be. That was Yasha I spoke with, how could it not be?"

Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae

Star looked down, she hadn't expected him to take the truth but even so with him not believing she was still unsure about herself. Letting a deep sigh out she looked out towards the city for a minute and marveled at it all before she turned back to adenn

one of her arms was replaced with a biote by one of carnifexs vong shapers, a gift to her, when she began to expire the biote started taking control of her....if she died so would it so I suppose the thing merely didn't wish for death...so it absorbed her and her memories and became her

She let that sink in, looking towards the city again

in a sense its yasha fully, but it is merely living through her....i suppose even vong have a odd way of being nice

Keeping his focus fully on Star, Adenn allowed his confusion and disbelief to be visible. She had said it would be important, but this was ground breaking. He didn't know what to really believe, and thus allowed her to speak her piece in full. Letting out a deep breath, Adenn brought a hand up to his face, covering it in disbelief.

After a few moments of this, he let his hand dropped and turned to Star, speaking once more.
"Then... if that's true, it is and isn't Yasha. Oh shab... they merged then, didn't they?" Clenching his teeth closed, Adenn turned to the city, trying to find some peace. "She's not dead, but she's not herself. That's what you're saying?"

Snarling suddenly, Adenn slammed his fist down on the table, letting out a string of Mando'a curses. When he was finished, it was very clear to see he was agitated, angry, and slowly filling with despair.
"Yasha isn't dead... she's not dead, but she's not alive. Frakking shabla sithspit, damnable biote. Why is the frakking galaxy like this, have we not suffered enough? Must we continue to lose ourselves, our loved ones, our aliit?!"

Letting out another few choice curse words, Adenn fell silent, staring out across the city. He was quite clearly angry, confused, and it was evident that he was doing his best to hold himself together.

Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae

no...her souls very much gone...

She said, it was clear that adenn was distraught over this new information, it was hurting stardust as she closed her eyes and swallowed as she let him go off and came up to him grabbing his shoulder as she sighed

its no longer yasha...it wanted to live it was desperate...in a sense it honors her but...

The next part caused her to let go as she walked towards the view of the city closer and sighed as she stared at it and sighed deeply

i often wonder if sometimes the right thing to do...is to kill the biote...it pains me because yasha is dead yet I see her face when I visit...but could I do it adenn? Could I look at my own sister as I kill her?

She turned to face him, tears running down her face

these thoughts plague me every night I rest adenn...i can barely visit it now without feeling ashamed and disgusted

Upon hearing that first line, Adenn hung his head in despair. He trusted Star, and despite himself, hoped she was lying, that it was fake. Yet somehow, he knew it was most likely true. Though he would eventually try to confirm with others, he still despaired, for he had lost another vode. Raising his hand, he grasped her hand on his shoulder.

Taking a deep breath, letting Star finish, Adenn simply looked out over the city. Speaking once more, his voice breaking as he spoke, Adenn's face let a few tears drop from his eyes. He had shed tears when he saw how his clan had been injured so over the years, he had shed tears as more and more of his aliit died to various worlds, never to see their aliit again. Now he shed tears because he once lost one of his own aliit.
"I... I will ask Adara, Mig, and or someone else close and well versed in the Force, to see if it is as you say." Bowing his head, Adenn breathed out slowly. "I don't doubt you ner'vod, but... I don't want to just let this be the truth. If there's a chance she's still there, I want to know. Is that too much to ask?"

Raising his head to look Star in the eye, eyes slowly hardening, despite the grief visible in them.
"If it's just the biote... if it's just that thing pretending to be her, not having been truthful, lying and playing with us... I think you can, I think we can. Let's... we should confirm that there is nothing left of her, nothing left of Yasha. If it's only the biote, then that's what we'd be killing. It wears the face of our sister, and also my daughter through marriage, it's not Yasha then, if it's just the biote." Sighing again, Adenn's face fell. "If Yasha truly is dead, then I will help do the deed myself. It will break my heart, and if we don't tell others this truth, if it is such, then we will be hounded for it. We need to bring this to light, but I will help do this, much as it will hurt."

The pain she felt emitting from him, her eyes closed as she let a deep sigh out and turned her hand to grasp his firmly and shook it a bit as she stood with herself barely able to contain her own tears

i know...i havent the heart to tell her wife...you know she will be the hardest to convince she will...she will be the biggest obstacle

Star pulled a chair over for them both, herself sitting and wincing from a slight bit of pain, her joints especially since she used them extensively

adenn...ive also met...the dark lord himself face to face...not when I made the deal to free our vode...but at his home. I saw his wives and some of his children he seemed so...proud...the care in his eyes it was disturbing.

She looked confused, like two parts of her were fighting against one another, this had been the case since she started regaining her memories. She shook her head and looked out towards the city

so...whats our plan moving forward as mandalorians...do we just survive until one day we all unite?

Squeezing her hand back, Adenn lowered his head in sorrow, losing himself in thought. Nodding slowly to what Star said, Adenn sighed, not knowing what to say. Then she mentioned the dark lord and Adenn turned his attention back to her, eyes narrowing. Growling at the thought of him, Adenn spoke, voice dark.
"Of course he's proud. The chakaar still lives, he's done the impossible and broken the Mando'ade, even if we will return. He's proud because he has nothing to fear, and because he knows his people grow stronger by the moment."

Sneering in thought of him, Adenn shook his head, voice losing its darkness.
"He will get what's coming for him, that I swear. One day all that he's built will crumble down around him. Every wrong against us shall be returned to him, and the loss we have felt shall be given unto him. When that day comes, I will be there, helping break him down, break everything he has made."

Taking a deep breath, Adenn held it before letting it go after a few moments. Squeezing Star's hand once more, Adenn moved his hand to her shoulder, moving to stand by her side. Squeezing it gently, Adenn spoke once more.
"I have no plan, only to rebuild and work towards something better. There are others who are uniting groups, Kaine is one such leader. That said, I can't ask my clan to fight so soon, not after such a long time of only war. We need this peace to rebuild and heal. When the time comes, we will be there to fight to free our planets once more. But for now, I have no plan, I have no ideas on what to do."

Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae

There was a troubled look in stardust face, twitching side to side as if she was arguing with herself sighing she shook her head and looked to adenn as she felt bus hand that brought her back to reality as she looked back out over the city

I plan on seeing what this...enclave I hear about is, along with the mandalorian union....I've gotta figure out my steps however...with my clans planet in the space of the Sith and the agreement ive made with them ive gotta play it safe

Sighing again she looked out to the city then to him and patted his hand gently and held it there

for now im just trying to enjoy this odd sense of peace...

Sighing at what Star said, Adenn found he couldn't disagree. The aliit came fire, after all, family was everything. Tilting his head forward, Adenn thought about the groups she mentioned, along with the other groups of Mando'ade that had formed. With the collapse of a more central form of Mandalorian society, Mandalorians had done what they did best, reformed according to their own rules. After all, they didn't need a central government unlike other groups, they could survive on their own, indefinitely if need be.

That said, he had heard of these new groups, kept an eye on them as well. Though he knew of them, he wouldn't be joining any, not until one tried their hand at freeing Mandalore. His clan had fought too long, too hard for other planets. The only they would fight for now would be Mandalore and Tracyn, few if any other would receive their aid, not unless they were called upon by an ally.

"Aliit first, aliit always comes first. As it is, I'm enjoying this peace as well. We've fought for so long, for so many years on so many planets. We've lost so many vode... This peace, it's good for them, it's good for me." Sighing once more, Adenn gently squeezed Stars shoulder. "War will come again Star, and we will free Manda'yaim, but until then, we can relax. Until we move to free Mandalore once again, I will remain here, spend time with family, with friends, simply resting and enjoying life as it is."

A small smile graced Adenn's lips then, as he looked out across a city belonging to Clan Mortui. Somewhere out there, his kids where being looked after by his family, by his clan. And he would look after them forever and always, for his aliit, for Mandalore.

Stardust Solus Skirae Stardust Solus Skirae

right aliit first before anyone else, but I've gotta find a way to break their grasp in that sector it's already a risk enough visiting placing where certain groups lie...

There was massive risk in her head that ever loomed over her, she often wondered if she'd have to give herself up to save them should that happen, feeling him squeeze her shoulder she gave a smile

we are mandos aren't we? We are war reincarnated, it is our legacy. Of course legacies change, so maybe we can try and alter the course of that

A laugh came upon her lips as she smiled and closed her eyes thinking to herself then opened them

you promised some food yes? I think I could use some haha

Nodding his head in understanding, Adenn began to think of the possibilities. There were options, few of which were good, fewer still that would allow Clan Solus to remain where they were.
"When the time comes, we'll free Clan Solus' home, and when that time comes, just call and we'll come. Most likely some group will move to free Mandalore, and after that we can free your home. I say after, because whichever group frees Mandalore won't leave easily, which gives the dar'jetii something to focus on."

Smiling, Adenn nodded to what she said. With a chuckle, Adenn let go of her shoulder, patting her back as he did so.
"We are war incarnate, you're right about that. Though we do need peace to rebuild and learn, so that we won't collapse entirely. War to advance and learn, peace to build and solidify. One without the other is foolishness, but too much of either will lead to ruin."

Smiling, Adenn kept his watch over the city, though when Star mentioned food, Adenn couldn't help but laugh again. It felt good to laugh and smile with family once more.
"I did, along with alcohol. Several of my vode have taken up cooking now, primarily those who had to do much of it during battle, but it brings them peace and hones their skill. I'm sure they can cook us something up, just ask and ye shall most likely receive." Turning, Adenn made his way towards a cabinet by the wall, one stacked to the gills with beverages. Opening it, Adenn rummaged inside, calling over his shoulder to Star. "So then ner'vod, what do you want to drink? I have alcohol from every corner of the galaxy, mostly Mandalorian beverages, but some of the better known alcohols from elsewhere."
