OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To make a bes'phatir for Shuklaar.
  • Canon Link: N/A.
  • Permissions: N/A.
  • Primary Source: N/A.
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Battle axe.
  • Size: Large (shaft extended), Average (shaft collapsed).
  • Weight: Heavy.
SPECIAL FEATURES
STRENGTHS
  • Mono-molecular Edge: With a mono-molecular edge, the weapon has a higher chance of penetrating armor or natural carapace than a traditional beskad, whose ability to do so is already very impressive.
  • Ultrasonic Vibration Generator: The ultrasonic vibration generator increases the already very deadly weapon's natural armor penetration and gives even a glancing strike the potential to do great damage on target.
  • Repulsor Generator: When the user needs extra impact force on target, they can activate the in-built repulsor generator with an easy to reach button on the weapon.
  • Rylith Power Cell: The weapon makes use of a Rylith Power Cell, making for significantly increased battery life, as well as the capability to recharge the cell with exposure to sunlight.
WEAKNESSES
  • Out of Power: Once the weapon is out of power, it's back to being a bes'phatir that's sharper than a standard one.
  • EMP/Ion: Should the weapon's EMP/Ion defenses be overwhelmed by a powerful enough EMP/Ion weapon, then once again it is back to being a bes'phatir that's sharper than a standard one.
  • Beskar: The weapon is, at the end of the day, made from beskar. Given the number of anti-beskar measures in the galaxy, there's a relatively high chance of running into one of them.
  • Heavy: Bes'phatir aren't light weapons, and they take a notable level of strength to be able to wield effectively, Shuklaar's is no exception. Their size, even when the shaft is collapsed makes them a less than ideal choice for use in tight quarters.
DESCRIPTION
"I like it, it's very...you."
"What's that supposed to mean?"
"Unsubtle, and very direct."
"I'll...take that as a compliment."
"It was, vod."
- Vuhyr'yalilyr Ver'alor Saram Kote and Shuklaar Kyrdol.

In aftermath of the weapon testing that led to the creation of the B-01M Beskad, Shuklaar decided to try his own hand at recreating his preferred melee weapon. Knowing from experience that the weapon was inconvenient to carry because of its size, his previous weapon also featured a collapsible shaft, and the new weapon was built on that basis as well. The previous axe's blade was also honed to a mono-molecular edge, and so that feature carried over as well. What he did add, however, was the ultrasonic vibration generator that was added to the modernized beskad, along with the repulsor generator. Quite happy with the results, Shuklaar also carried over the Rylith power cell used in the other weapon.

The beskar forged axe quickly became his favorite weapon, and the weapon went everywhere with him, becoming as much as an indicator of his presence as his droid, Jare'la. More recently, as he began taking to the field with Strill Securities personnel as part of their contract with the CIS, both Shuklaar and the axe became a powerful rallying symbol for the men and women on the ground.

The weapon did have a few notable issues, however. Bes'phatir aren't light weapons, and they take a notable level of strength to be able to wield effectively, Shuklaar's is no exception. Their size, even when the shaft is collapsed makes them a less than ideal choice for use in tight quarters. Once the weapon is out of power, it's back to being a bes'phatir that's sharper than a standard one. Should the weapon's EMP/Ion defenses be overwhelmed by a powerful enough EMP/Ion weapon, then once again it is back to being a bes'phatir that's sharper than a standard one. The weapon is, at the end of the day, made from beskar. Given the number of anti-beskar measures in the galaxy, there's a relatively high chance of running into one of them.
