LIVING RELATIVES
STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES

+ Advanced Training: Arms, melee, even hand to hand, Shor is a very capable fighter who knows how to read his opponent. He is a deft tracker and is able to quickly alter his tactics when thrown off course. The slight sensitivity he has to the Force, while unknown to him, aids his reflexes, but not enough to be noticeable.

+ Worldly Traveler: Shor knows a little about a lot of places, having spent time here and there in training or hunting. There's very few major worlds he hasn't visited, and fewer still that he hasn't studied in some small detail.

+/- Infinite Fuel: Shor will never give up on finding his brother and putting a stop to the Jedi's hold over him. As a result this ensures that his drive will never lessen, pushing him ever onward with a vengeance.

+/- Spaceman: More at home in the empty vacuums of the Galaxy, than on land, Shor will spend most of his free time venturing through uncharted territories in search of new stars, new worlds, after all Blaise could be anywhere, right? Of course, chartering space is almost as close to suicide as it comes.

+/- Weathered Appearance: A life time of combat, training and traveling has left Shor appearing much older than he is; time has definitely taken its toll on this brother.

+/- Superiority Complex: He's a hell of a fighter, considering his lack of Force User training, and he knows it; this translates into arrogance, and will sometimes have him taking larger risks than he ought to. The fact that he's often able to work his way out of difficult situations just feeds his ego.

+/- Accursed Legacy: Raised in full awareness of what happened to his twin, Shor has made it his life mission to recover that which was taken from him and return the balance to his family. It has also given him a vehement loathing towards all Force Users, indiscriminately.

+/- Self-Loathing: While he does not know what sort of situation Blaise is currently in, he isn't very optimistic. In fact, part of Shor blames himself and his own inadequacies for the loss of his twin. A lot of his loathing stems from the constant reminder that he wasn't strong enough to make the cut - if he had been, he and Blaise would never have been separated.

+/- Just One Man: Who needs allies when you can wander the stars alone, slaying small time Force Users here and there? Shor refuses to spread the burden of his task, and will never accept outside help as far as his hunt is concerned with. But one man can only do so much...

+/- Sinistral: Evil works on the left, or so it's said. Shor is the twin burdened with using his left hand, yet such things are not so simple. He is deft and dexterous with his left, making it his primary for every day, yet oddly enough it is his right hand that he will opt for when utilizing weapons, a trait that has been known to throw off those who expected otherwise.

- One Track Mind: The Jedi took Blaise, and so they and all other Force Users must be bad... Right? Well, that's how Shor sees things, anyway. No amount of reason will sway him from his course, and anyone harmed along the way is little more than collateral damage. His ignorance of his own Force Sensitivity, no matter how minor, masks the hypocrisy of it all.

- Don't Know, Don't Care: While Shor's Force Sensitivity was dwarfed by that of his brothers, that does not mean that he had no inherent potential. Of course, even if he did realise this fact the chances of him ever capitalizing on it are slim to none. He has his methods, they have theirs, of course being on a level platform with those he hunts would only make the task more efficient...

- Arachnophobic: The throws of the Force do not scare him! However, show him an eight legged fiend and he'll have a moment of paralytic fear. While not well known at all, given the sparsity of spiders in space, it is still an underlying truth, and one he's rather self-conscious of.

- Gammy Shoulder: Hunting Force Users is a dangerous past time, and one that leaves many marks that can last for a long time. Every so often Shor's right shoulder joint will seize up, making it difficult to wield a weapon and forcing him to rely upon his weaker hand. Safe to say this can prove perilous.

- Missing Kidney: The product of experimentation, Shor had one kidney unwillingly extracted and would likely have faced far worse had the procedure not been deemed a failure. Immediate issues arose in the form of dangerously high blood pressure and near-fatal cardiac arrest, however the long term complications have yet to reveal themselves.

PRE-ROLEPLAY HISTORY

Born on Naboo, Shor was dubbed the eldest of two twin boys by just an 18 minute interval. While still little more than a babbling babe, both of the brothers were tested for their Force Sensitivity, and while each had a midi-chlorian count that put them into the bracket the range between their potency was drastic. Blaise, the slightly younger twin, was deemed strong in the Force and their parents were implored to send him to the Jedi Academy once he had been nursed and nurtured a little. When the boy was of an age to begin his education, barely out of diapers, his mother and father made the decision and sent him away, not putting any thought into how this might affect them as a family unit.

Believing they could raise Shor to believe he was an only child, his early years were full of encouragement. However, the boys had been roughly five years old when separated, and while his memory would become relatively hazy of the events which had taken place, it did not mean that he was ignorant of the fact that his brother -- no, his twin -- had been taken from him. At first he suffered in silence, an empty feeling settling in the pit of his stomach, after all it was believed that twins had a deeper connection than most. But after a while it became too much for such a young child to hold in and so soon Shor began lashing out.

Uncertain of how to handle their wayward son, his father made the executive decision to have him shipped off to learn to control his anger and discipline himself. Of course, without thorough research of where he was being sent, his parents had no idea of the catalyst they had placed before him. Rather than knock the spirit from him, the institution harnessed and built upon it, grooming Shor into a capable, if not dangerous, fighter. His skills were honed over many years, and his weaknesses used against him: the loss of his brother, the constant reminder of who -- no, what -- had caused the rift. The fear of the Force was drilled into him until it became his own mantra, not just theirs.

Force Users could not coexist with the rest of the Galaxy.

They were dangerous, like rabid animals. And rabid animals had to be put down. It was the only natural progression, the only solution, and Shor felt certain that Blaise had to be rescued, he had to be in danger. And as the older twin, the task was Shor's to carry out. After all, his parents had done nothing to stop it, they had enticed the situation. So it was that he walked away from the institution that had tried to keep him held back for their own gain. While they let him go, they chose to monitor him for a time, and what they found was shocking even to them. The institute hadn't counted on just how fierce of a predator Shor would become, how much of a competition to their organization... How much of a threat.

Shor killed indiscriminately. His targets were insignificant enough to keep him off the radar, yet the dent he created was enough to make some small difference - at least in his own mind. Picking up minor bounties, not caring if they were for Force User or otherwise, he was able to purchase himself a ship and supplies enough to fully break away from the institution, before disappearing off even their own radar, much to their displeasure. From there he continued to roam from world to world, seeking out Blaise, engaging any who stood in his way, and taking out as many as he was able. Of course, hunting Force Users was a dangerous profession, and every so often he would take on someone far superior to himself.

On one such occasion he barely made it out in one piece, his right shoulder a dislocated, bloodied mess. While he was able to patch it up well enough, and with time it healed, he found that every so often, especially when met with extremes in temperature or prolonged exposure to strenuous tasks, his shoulder would seize up and render his arm all but useless. This has, of course, set him back a fair deal, and has forced him to seek out further training to try and optimize the performance of his left where combat is concerned. Yet he's far too egotistical to outright ask for help, and self-teaching, while an available and useful option, has proven slow and inefficient.
