DESCRIPTION

Hazardous Detection and Ranging "HADAR"

Detects Gamma Rays, X-Rays, Infrared Waves, Electromagnetic Fields

Can emit pulses of active Gamma Rays, X-Rays, Infrared Waves, pure Radiation and Electromagnetism and detect the return of these "pulses" as they reflect off of solid objects.

Objects of different densities and materials will reflect a different proportion of these emissions back at different speeds.

At close ranges, this allows the ship's computer to extrapolate the three-dimensional shape of a ship or object hit by these pulses.
Which allows the ship's computer to identify key components, power conduits, and structural weak points.

DESCRIPTION

Light Detection And Matter Analysis Transceiver
"LIDAMAT"

Electrotelescopes monitor Normal Light, Ultraviolet Light, and Infrared Light.
Electrotelescopes / particle sensors monitor heat emitted by an object
Electrotelescopes monitor movement

Points a laser at an object and uses electrotelescopes to analyze how the light from the laser is defused into the atmosphere of a planet, which allows remote analysis of a planet's atmospheric composition.

Can also be used to monitor vibrations of a solid object and heat emitted by solid objects

SENSOR NOTES:
"RADAR": RAdio Detection And Ranging
"LIDAR": LIght Detection And Ranging
"SONAR": SOund Navigation And Ranging

Active Sensor Pulse Generator:
  • Sonar Ping of Handwavium
Tachyon Detection Sensor: Ancoran Cruiser, Pimbrellan Cruiser,
  • Use to detect active Hypermatter Reactors?
  • Used to detect Hyperspace Reversions?
Hyperwave Signal Interceptor:
  • Detected fluctuations in Hyperspace Fields
  • Detected the arrival and departure of Starships
Soliton Antenna:
  • Lets a ship "track" the location of a ship in Hyperspace, while the host ship is also in Hyperspace
  • Lets a ship track a ship entering or exiting Hyperspace
  • Activating the sensor creates a "Compression Wave"
Energy-Wave Detector:
  • Detects "waves of energy"
Spatial Anomaly Detector / Spatial Flux Dilation Spectrometer:
  • Detects fluctuations in the fabric of Space-time?
Stellar Navigation Sensor / Navigational Sensor:
  • Detects Planets, Stars, and other objects?
  • Scans local area for "known navigational markers"
Proximity Sensors:
  • Detects High-Gravity Fields in immediate area
  • Non-accurate, simply detects that gravity is in existence
Gravitic Sensor:
  • While in Hyperspace, scans for "Mass Shadows" and drops a ship out into Realspace
Mass-Detector:
  • Detects the interaction of an object's mass upon the fabric of space-time. (IE: Gravity)
Crystal Gravfield Trap:
  • Detects fluctuations in the local gravity field
  • Can be blocked by large masses
  • Cannot detect objects on the far side of a planet
Electromagnetic Sensor / Electromagnetic Field Receptor / Electromagnetic Flux Detector:
  • Detects Electromagnetic Fields
Magnetic Signature Sensor:
  • Detects buildup of an electromagnetic field upon the hull of a ship
  • Only detects your own ship's status?
Matter Analyzer / Substance Analyzer:
  • Works by analyzing particles that drift around
  • Identifies what the particle is from?
  • Can be used to "Monitor conditions in passenger staterooms and public areas"
Atmosphere Sensor / Environment Scanner:
  • Analyzes atmosphere of a planet to determine its composition
  • Apply this to a laser for remote scanning?

Magnetic Resonance Imager:
  • Medical 3D scanning technology
Doppraymagno Scanner:
  • Doppler Imaging, X-rays, Magnetic Resonance Imaging
  • Can "see inside" a living being or construct
Microwave Sensor:
  • Detects Microwave Vibrations/Radiations
Sonic Probe / Sonar Mapper:
  • Emits pulses of sound and listens for return echo
  • Can map an area
Heat Particle Detector / Heat Detector:
  • Detects thermal radiation
Infrared Motion Sensor:
  • Camera that detects the relative heat of object in its field of view
  • Tracks areas of high heat or moving heat
Impulse Detector:
  • Monitors "energy exhausted" from an engine
  • Includes Signal Clarifier, Receiver Antenna, and Detector Unit

Universal Transceiver Package / Full-spectrum Transceiver: "Standard Sensors"
  • Short-Range Target Acquiring Sensors
  • Active Long-Range Sensor Array
  • Dedicated Energy Receptor
  • Electro-photo Receptor

Dedicated Energy Receptor:
  • Entirely Passive
  • Detects Electromagnetic Emissions
  • Primarily in a "narrow cone"
  • Detects Lasers, Beacons, and Comlink Transmissions
  • Multiple DER devices can be used to detect weak spots in planetary shields by "tracking down anomalies and fluctuations in shields"
Electrotelescope:
  • Far-zooming version of an EPR
  • Much more powerful than EPR
  • Incorporates computers to "electronically enhance existing light sources and reduce atmospheric haze and other sources of visual distortion"
  • Tied to other sensors that detect energy emissions and communication transmissions
Electro-Photo Receptor:
  • Short range
  • Multiple Telescopes recording Normal Light, Ultraviolet, and Infrared

Aural Sensors:
  • Laser-beam monitoring of the vibrations upon the surface of a detected object
  • Works like laser-beam "Listening" devices used on windows
  • Is tied to speaker/sound system on host ship to let crew hear what is being detected
