This has been the first time Sanya had properly been to the dunes of this world. It was hot and not much out here, though that was to the normal eye. There was potential out here for all kind of things. Although some of the creatures out here made that a problem. The past few weeks Sanya had been going around to personally inspect the mining colonies, and in this region there had been a few rumors of a large band of creatures with shape shifting armor. Following the source of the rumor's Sanya thinks she had finally found where it had originated from. If such species lived on this world it was her job to find them.

Though if it was true Sanya was curious to try out a new saber style to see it's effectiveness on a live creature. Not to kill but maybe subdued it to learn more about it's species. This is why Sanya had given Lady praelior orders to meet her here. Not only was the woman a heavy hitter she was one for quickly learning about species. Not only that if Sanya was able to get her hands on this Bio armor she could put it to good use once she'd learned how to put it to use.

watching the woman's shuttle come in Sanya picked up her two litre bottle of water and made her way to the landing pad. As the ramp lowered Sanya waited for the woman to appear. Honestly Sanya hoped they took their time on this investigation as she was enjoying the heat. Normally it would just be a slightly warm climate she was operating in or the freezing cold but lately it's been the extream heat, and that was what Sanya preferred.

It was a snowy winter retreat out on the southern hemisphere of the planet. White snow and blue frost. A luxury resort for winter sports, downhill Rhomp gliding, and even a few picturesque weddings. Keeping hot and warm in the middle of the cold and snowy mountains. It was good living too.

Karen Roberts of Lothal sat in the Lodge with her wet feet high upon the table. She'd just finished a few afternoon runs down the ski slopes and was now enjoying a chance moment to dry off and warm up. Her blue hair was tightly pulled into a frazzled bun and her purple outfit was covered in melting snow. She looked happy and tired. Cheeks all a'blush and hot mug in hand. Just enjoying the taste of hot chocolate on her chilly chapped lips. Mm. Yum.

She wiggled her toes and leaned back in her cushy chair. Ah yes. Now this was living.

Reports of criminal activity from the Ilet Dunes began flooding the Black Rose Council, which prompted an immediate response. The newly formed Black Hands of Justice had been spread thin, it's members already dispatched to various planets held by the Black Rose to root out corruption, crime, and other unsavory acts by unsavory people. Darth Venefica, who found any criminal activity to be appalling, took it upon herself to investigate the reports. However, she would take with her the lone member of the Black Hands with her; Sarli Ra-Suutar.
For the most part, the Black Hands where bounty hunters employed by the Black Rose and whose loyalty was to their cause. Despite the title of bounty hunters, they also assisted in upholding the laws of the Black Rose on their governed worlds; protecting the citizens at all costs.
"Justicar Ra-Suutar....meet me in hanger bay forty-four," she said into her personal wrist com link.
"You and I will head down into the dunes to investigate these reports. The latest report mentions a crime of murder. Murdering of any Black Rose citizen carries a punishment of death on sight. Come prepared to dispense Black Rose justice."
Pulling the cursed robe tight around her meager frame, the Sith Lady left her office striding with calculated purpose to the hanger bay. She didn't believe in wholesale killing anymore, but when it came to the preservation of the citizens; nothing was beyond her hand of justice.

The call from Darth Venefica, one of the prominent members of the Black Rose Council, surprised her in mid-training. The training droid had nearly severed her at the waist when her attention had been temporarily split between the incoming call and the training droid's attack. Stepping to her right to prevent being turned into a twin, she brought the viborsword down with enough force to cut the droid's right arm off from it's blue and white chassis.

"Halt training session fifty-five," she said into the air shutting down the program.

"Lady Venefica, I'll meet you there in twenty minutes. Need to change clothes and grab my equipment. Justicar Ra-Suutar out."

She typed in a different code into the training computer, which would send out cleaning droids to rectify the mess they made during the sparring session. With the task of cleaning the training room delegated to the cleaner droids, she ran toward her personal quarters to swap out her soak infested clothes for cleaning ones. She wished she had time to shower up first, but when duty called; one such as a member of the Black Hands must answer and respond at once.

A FAV-1 flamethrower silently collected dust, propped against Darth Veles’ desk in his office. With everything neatly organised and tidy, the weapon stood out like some sort of unwanted toy. It promised to unleash its flaming fury upon the monstrosities created by the Sith Lord’s ‘allies’, yet so far it had been neglected, although not forgotten. Every time the amphibious councillor of the Black Rose lifted his gaze from reports concerning the Croa, his amber gaze filled with a mixture of anger and anticipation fell upon the weapon; a parting gift from the Republic’s Prime Minister. Its elegant design always reminded Veles of [member="Geneviève Lasedri"]’s sleek curves he had craved during their intimate moment. From a certain point of view, the fearsome weapon embodied the Prime Minister’s hatred for Sith, waiting to be finally put to test.

Not today – that fateful day kept growing near, but remained far away, enough to be veiled under a cloak of uncertainty. This day had something different in store for the amphibious Sith Lord; using the Black Rose’s credits available to someone of his stature, he had bought a few crates of phrik for personal use. There were many things that had to be done before he could truly devote himself to the final task, and his mind’s been occupied by several designs for a new pair of lightsaber hilts. The only thing needed to be done was receiving the crates, not far away from the spaceport where he could load the delivery onto Your Deathbed. What could possibly go wrong?

The Sith Lady stood inside the shuttle, double checking the map of the dunes. The area was grossly misjudged as a big area; it was massive. However, they didn't need to scour the entire dunes, just the area where the witnesses would direct them. Besides, she hated sand just as much as she hated ice and snow. Her pale skin didn't play well under the sun and she had no desire to return to Kesh with a holomovie actress' tan.
From behind her, she felt the arrival of the Justicar that would be accompanying her on the mission. She had never dealt directly with any of the Black Hands but she was well aware of their reputation.
"Ah.....you have finally arrived," she said without taking her eyes off the holomap.
"First we will interview the witnesses to the crime....then we will visit the crime scene itself. I have ordered some troops to guard the site until we arrive. Take time to familiarize yourself with the area Justicar.

She looked over the map, while breaking down her pistol to clean it. She had learned the hard way that a dirty weapon could get one killed. The area in question seemed practically deserted for the exception of a few settlements. She was unsure why this area was the host of a murder. Most of the inhabitants were peaceful, usually going about their daily lives untouched by the tribulations of the galaxy. Sekalus sat on the edge of the known galaxy, away from most trade routes.

The speaker's on the shuttle warbled to life as the pilot announced they were ready to make the small jump to hyperspace. She hated making these jumps, despite having done them numerous times. She braced herself and felt her body move slightly backwards as the shuttle launched itself into hyperspace.

"I really hate hyperspace travel," she said to herself.

This world was strange and dangerous as she stood there reaching out with the force energies as she wrapped the force around her body and concealed herself. She was keeping the attention of everything at a minimal before walking with the force energy from her sabers out. These people were scout worthy to try and discern what they did or were trying to do. She didn't have all the information and some jedi teams had been dispatched to try and meet with hopefully the locals. They didn't seek to attack people they didn't know as she finally stood dropping the cloak in the desert to try and see these phrik mines and see if there were slaves or workers.

The world was still theirs and flying around the Vanr raised her ridged eyebrow dive bombing down towards the desert mines. She touched down into the sands swishing her tail as her anklet clinked walking with the clawed feet, her wings spreading outward and then coming in to wrap around her shoulders covering the rags and loincloth. Her red hair going down to her shoulders before she gripped the training saber on her hip. She could feel the darkside in her veins before she looked out across the way with the large phrik operations they have for the main things within the sisterhood. "I am heading towards the mines."

Flanked by two Black Rose troops, Darth Veles approached the warehouse supposed to temporarily hold his precious cargo. Unfortunately, the capital did not differ from Coruscant very much when it came to some undesired aspects. Three dead bodies littering the dirty floor and countless investigators swarming the crime scene only confirmed what Avreet had already been informed about – a robbery. The shootout had ended with two dead security guards, one dead thief and one robber injured. All phrik crates missing, of course. The Black Rose councillor was not happy about the situation, evidenced by a frown sent the injured man’s way. Instead of allowing the security forces solve the case, Veles had decided to take the matter into his own hands and deal with the ruffians responsible for this mess personally, sending a message to everyone thinking about stealing from the Black Rose council.

“Gentlebeings, please offer me and my new associate a bit of privacy,” he commanded in his firm Imperial accent that did not go well with the choice of words and watched all except for the wounded thief pool out of the warehouse. Both of Veles’ soldiers remained behind to guard the entrance, their intimidating armour-clad forms standing in the way of freedom robbing the criminal of all remaining hope. The poor man’s fear peaked, evidenced by his wide open eyes watching the approaching shadow slowly crawling on the floor, closer and closer with each step the Mon Calamari took, the sound of footsteps resonating throughout the dead silent hall filled with crates and machinery.

Wasting no time, she headed to the small hut where the witnesses to the murder were being held the moment the shuttle touched down. She didn't need the gift of the Force to feel the anxiety, fear, and nervousness radiating off the citizens of Sekalus; their personal body language was speaking volumes loud and clear. This whole scene was making her angry. The citizens of the Black Rose were well protected by those that governed them, and even though this planet was not yet under the governership of the Order of the Black Rose, they needed to be assured that even they will find safety under the banner of the Black Rose when the time came.
"Tell me all the details of what you saw," she said stepping into the hut.
The witnesses, dressed in dirty and ruined salvaging garments, looked at the imposing figure standing before them; demanding to learn the details from them. Darth Venefica could sense the fear she had installed in them, so she nodded her head slightly in way of apology. She was an imposing figure, known through the galaxy for installing fear and uneasiness in those that stood before her; even more so in those that never seen her before.
"Please.....take your time. We are here to help you....and in order for us to do that....you need to help us."

Karen zipped up her coat and walked out onto the warm sunny balcony. Slipping on her sunglasses to hide from snow's glittery glare. It had been a fun afternoon and already she could feel the trembling in her legs. Downhill really took it out of you. She approached the balcony and let her breath fog and linger on the air. Sunny as it was, the temperature was still chill enough to spot strong icicles on the eaves. No doubt they would melt with the hours.

This expedition of hers was no vacation however. There was still plenty to do of foreign worlds such as this. In fact her first meeting of the week was only just hours away. At the bottom of this shining mountain. Doctor Hilguard of the DAS was meeting with another local expedition to talk the sharing of supplies and scientific Force theory. Combing the usual cultural circuits looking for poetic eddas about Vaders Darth and the tales of Force Ragnarok. Anything that looked good on the bookshelves of one of the largest libraries in all of civilized space. Naturally.

So Karen enjoyed her respite and gave a nod to the mother wind. Business or pleasure, they had asked when she'd arrived. Both. She'd told them with a smile. And she aimed to make good on that one too.

The world of Sekalus had not been a prime concern for Sempra or his business. the world had been controlled by other criminal networks that he had no desire to make enemies with, until now.
His sources had informed him that the Order of the Black Rose, a new power in the galaxy was moving in. At first he had guessed that they would be backing the current underworld elements since the Rose had clear ties with the One sith, but something was very different here. The Black Rose enforcer were actually trying to root out the criminals on Sekalus. A noble cause for sure. It was also an opportunity, because it would leave a power vacuum to be filled, and Sempra intended for his dealers to fill a large chunk of that vacuum.

He gazed around in the large warehouse structure. Here he would meet with some of the local drug dealers with some influence and offer them a way to remain in bussiness if they only started to work for him instead. It was in other words, business as usual.

With his entourage of slaves and body guards around him he checked the time.

"They will be here soon..." he murmured and grabbed his chalice with spiced wine.

Having sipped it he turned to his most trusted advisor and friend, the duros [member="Cadan Tazi"]

"Let us get a spicy price out of this one.." he chuckled. But underneath his played calmness there was the usual tension. They were after all dealing with criminals and with his free hand he checked that his gun was still there in the hidden compartment on his hover sledge.

The injured man remained slumped against the reinforced wall like a crippled animal, clutching his left side, and looked up at the approaching Mon Cal, towering over him. Offering neither a frown nor a smile, Avreet observed the prisoner, more through the Force rather than visually. Fear of death and consequences of his actions were easily recognizable in the Dark Side, and only offered the interrogator more power. There was a hint of resignation, too; while the body had more than enough strength to live, as the wound must have been only a scratch, he knew he was not getting out of this situation and slowly tried to face the fact those were his last moment. Only when the thief opened his mouth to speak, the Sith Lord raised his hand and stopped the flow of words before it even started.

“Let me take a look at your injury.” Not really an offer; more like a demand.

Crouching, Avreet forcefully removed the blonde man’s hand trying to hide the wound like some sort of secret; a quick glance of the Mon Cal’s bionic orb revealed it not to be life threatening, a burnt line of black painting the man’s side. Without saying a word, the Sith Lord removed a small medpac from his belt and treated the injury as best as he could, with gentle care.

“What is your name?”

No answer – wrong answer. Avreet’s webbed claws dug into the wound, eliciting a scream.

“What is your name?” the Sith Lord asked again, no sign of impatience in his voice.

“D…Daku. Daku Bojsa.”

Returning to the proper way of taking care of injuries, Veles let the silence sink in. Only the sound of speeders racing outside entered the cold and large halls of the warehouse, nothing else disturbed the methodical process of using what little the medpac contained to ease the pain.

Balaya was here, with Sanya as she worked on a few things. Mostly a sanctum for herself that would serve as a place to stay and reside until she found something interesting. She had her pets, she had her black pearl and when she reappeared she had whoever Sophia was calling herself now able to enter as the meditation chamber was there and she could feel the wrongness on the world. There was something here from people screwing around and she spoke. "Pet, there is something here, something other." SHe was searching for it but all this thing wanted was death and destruction while she brought a hologram up from the chair. "THere is a rift, a ccrashed ship from the charon and they are endangering your planet. Best handle them quickly."

She was moving to investigate the phrik mine as it came into view in the distance and from reports there were several scattered across the planet. All of the work they had been doing while she investigated and waited for the grandmaster to meet with the ones here. The more stealth oriented of the jedi could investigate or search for whatever they needed as the force was around her like a glove and she moved. She was looking over some of it leaving faint footprints in the sand until she came to the larger sections at the edges of the mine able to be used and investigated. the equipment was good before she saw some of the local workers taking a break and playing a game... which boded well for them at least and seemed they were not being mistreated.

The Justicar walked a few steps behind the Sith Lady, her eyes scanning the surrounding area for any signs of trouble. There was an unspoken agreement between the two, that someone had committed these horrific acts to draw representatives of the Black Rose to the planet. Over the past weeks, random patrols were conducted by the Black Rose Naval Fleet with orders to cull any potential pirate activity; and whomever was responsible for this crime might have taken it personally to the increased naval activity in the sector.

Opting to leave her sniper rifle back at HQ, she walked with her blaster rifle, the BAR-13, slung across her left shoulder whilst her dual pistols, "Crickets", rattled against her armour as she walked. She followed the Black Rose Councilwoman into the hut, where the Sith Lady began speaking with the witnesses. She could tell they were not keen on speaking with Darth Venefica, so she patted the Sith on her right shoulder and stepped in front.

"Hello. My name is Sarli Ra-Suutar, Justicar of the Black Hands," she said with a soothing voice as she raised the visor on her helmet.

She knelt down in front of the witnesses, and took one of their hands into hers. They were trembling, a result of seeing a Sith and dealing with the memories of the crime. She slowly rubbed their hands attempting to put them at ease.

"H-H-He murdered them in cold blood," the youngest of the pair blurted out.

"Them," she asked glancing up at Darth Venefica, who only shook her head.

"Forgive me, please? But we were told only of one death."

The two witnesses exchanged a quick glance to each other.

"T-T-The other bodies. He ate them as his comrades laughed and jeered," the other witness chimed in.

“It was foolish of you to do this, Daku. Do you know what happens to prisoners? Do you know what will happen to you, if you go to jail?”

Avreet stopped his work and looked directly into the man’s face, now on the same level.

“You will be infected with a virus that slowly and painfully transforms you into a monster." The Sith Lord's look was grim while explaining this. "Have you seen the Croa, yet? Every single one of them is a person like you. You won't survive the process, by the way.”

Only then the Sith let out a sigh and shook his large domed head, shutting his amber eyes closed for a second. Once again, the prisoner opened his mouth to speak, but another gesture from the Sith silenced him.

“But I am a reasonable man – I am willing to let you go away. Let the scar be your only punishment.”

Standing up, the amphibious Sith Assassin turned his head to look at the guards.

“If I tell you to let the man go, will you try to stop him?” he asked, immediately receiving an answer from one of the men.

“No, sir.”

“See?” he turned his burning gaze back towards the unfortunate soul, “You are a small fish, Daku – I am after the one responsible for getting you into this mess and the stolen shipment. If you cooperate and tell me where the crates are and who is responsible for the theft, you have my word I’ll tell the soldiers to let you leave as a free man.” The calm and soothing tone in Avreet’s voice worked wonders as always; the Force revealed Daku had calmed down considerably, mentally going over his options and chances.

Looking right into the man’s eyes, Veles spotted a sudden change; from an expression of despair to one of hope. Knowing the Black Rose’s fetish for turning people into catgirls, the robber desperately wished to escape the fate that seemed to be inevitable at this point.

“They are taking the crates into the decommissioned docking bay on the east side of the spaceport. It’s the only one there – you’ll find it!” he quickly spilled the info his captor desired, “I don’t know the name of the one who hired us… it is better not to ask too many questions. Will you let me leave now?”

“As promised.” Nodding, the Sith helped the man on his feet, orange gaze darting over to the two soldiers. “Men, let him go.”

Daku turned in the entrance’s direction and made a few first unsure steps, shifting weight from one leg to another in a test of his own ability to walk with a hole in his side. Thanks to the Sith Lord’s care though, the hurting pain remained on bearable levels. As soon as the blonde human set off to leave, Avreet unholstered his personal blaster and shot him in the back of the head.

Watching praelior move off the shuttle she walked to a meditation chamber that had just been set up. Sanya had no idea why one was set up hear just that there was a reason. Although she didn't really think about it for now as there was larger things going off. A new criminal syndicate has appeared and to be rooted out and sent to trials for their crimes execution was something that she didn't want but under the right circumstances and it been a last option it was aloud. Although it left a sickening feeling agreeing to it the other week. Who ever they where was dangerous but justice must be upheld. Drugs, theft, murder and other unthinkable crimes was going off. Something serious like that needed to be stopped. Sanya had been working hard removing crime from the world. New peace keepers enforcing laws and the training to make them almost in corruptable. Lethal weapons had to be voted on by a council of seven people. Other than that weapons where set to stun.

To add on top of everything this destructive species where now roaming the dunes hitting the miner's. Since other members of the council took on this crime syndicate Sanya had followed the leads. With the image praelior just showed her this made the rumors absolute. Looking at praelior Sanya nodded at her. "By it's location there is several mines in the vicinity. So I'll head to the one where the most recent attack came from. Ill presume you will be staying here to do what ever project you came to do. Why else would you have brought the meditation chamber." Sanya would giggle slightly teasing the woman. "Anyhow just keep me updated with information." Sanya didn't really wait for a response but headed to her speeder. It was faster than the shuttle and less noisy. Besides the she could get phirk while there. As she sat in the drivers seat her fingers would tap away at the dashboard bringing up the contact for her miner's. "Have the equipment ready and have it sent to this location." She would send the coordinates and started up the speeder. "I'll see you all soon." She said. "Yes Milady." The woman said in response.

Opening Another com channel to the peace keeper precinct hq. The hq it's self was in the city close to the spire but the hq it self was in charge of all the other stations. "This is miss lerium, could you patch me through to the captain please?" There was the split second of quietness. "Most certainly one moment please." Straight away the captain would pick up the com. "Queen Lerium what do I owe the pleasure." It was still stange to be announced as such to Sanya. "Captain I need to know if you have any available units in the Ilet dunes, equipped with riot sheilds and lethal weapons. There is a major threat to the civilians of this area and I've been informed they are dangerous." Again lethal weapons was a last call but if civilial lives where on the line then it could be necessary. "We have six squads down there two of them are available with the equipment." Sanya smiled to herself two squads would be perfect to protect the miner's. "Have them go to this location on the double. Ill meet them there and brief them myself." Sanya cut the coms and started making her way.

The desert and the mines appeared in the distance as she was moving. Attention on more of the things going with the workers as her teeth were bared. She could see the miners working hard while her wings came around and she grabbed some of the phrik. "There is a good amount being mined." She looked over at some of the workers and they had reports. She was a member of the black rose and while no a master she did at least get acknowledged as a sister... it made them move a little quicker and offer less angry stares and more of shock. "Very good, now let us see what else we have to work with and then we'll move on."
