ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Focus Fire: The true beauty of the Shikkar's weapons comes not from their actual power but from their systems themselves. The corvette's weapons can all quickly be aimed and calibrated at the same time, allowing them to all fire at the same target at the same time to maximize damage in singular spots or over a wider area. Of course, based on positioning of the target, not every gun has the ability to hit a target every time so the power from those can instead be temporarily transferred to their more active counterparts to allow a greater rate of fire for a very short period.
  • Infiltrate and Destroy: With the stealth systems and the speed of the vessel, the Shikkar specializes in slipping into and out of systems without raising standard sensors or detection methods. This allows for it to lie in wait or creep towards its target in order to hit its opponents with a quick and unseen strike.
WEAKNESSES
  • Fight or Fade: Given the relatively small size of the vessel, power is an issue for the ship and as such it's more advanced stealth systems can't be operated alongside it's main weapons and armaments. When engaging it must choose between staying hidden or having its full firepower accessible.
  • Pack Hunter: With light defenses and heavier weapons only being effective through focused fire, the Shikkar is at a significant disadvantage while alone. Although far from useless without other ships, it is best used against singular targets whilst alone or as part of a fleet.
DESCRIPTION
With the domination of both the Kainites and the Eternals in the mighty fleets of the Sith Order, it became very apparent that the Tsis'Kaar would need to work their relatively minor industry into action in order to try and compete with other Sith's military capabilities. One of the many projects that the engineers embarked upon would be that of the Shikkar Corvette. Meant to take after the very blade that its name originated from, the ship was meant to be able to strike fast and hard at the expense of defense and durability.

Several prototypes were developed but the limited resources of the Tsis'Kaar proved to be an eternal issue in the design process despite access to several other corvette models both modern and ancient to base their plans off of. Progress was slow and gradual, with the ship not being fully designed and produced until the time of the Sith Order's declaration of their new emperor. Now with a greater number of bases and resources to draw from the specialized vessel would become less expensive in order to expand on the amount that could be produced by the Tsis'Kaar, as the Shikkar corvettes were also allocated to the ranks of the newly formed Inquisition.

Although fairly unimpressive on its own in a battle, the Shikkar is uniquely suited to the Tsis'Kaar and Inquisition's operational styles. With a hangar large enough to support one squadron of smaller ships and decently armed, it serves as a perfect companion to the smaller task forces that both groups field. Able to hide itself from most standard detection methods and fast enough to outrun most larger vessels it is very clearly not meant to serve in a frontline role, but rather as a supplement to fleets or as the dedicated vessel of a specialized and small contingent of soldiers.

A strength of fielding multiple Shikkars is their firepower, with their synchronized weapons able to accurately barrage single targets and focus their destructive capabilities in order to significantly damage larger and more durable targets or areas.
