- Lightsaber Resistance: Self-explanatory. Most of the armor is constructed out of the material phrik, which is noted to be extremely light and durable.
- Blaster/energy weapon resistance: While the phrik is strong enough, the Shell of Hatred possesses an armorweave underlay in place to specifically assist in dissipating the blasts from energy weapons.
- Ballistics resistance: Also self-explanatory. Simple phrik offers ample protection from most small arms weapon fire, but armor piercing ammunition and heavier slugs will most likely pierce through or puncture the armor.
- Adrenal Benefits: Firstly, the amplifier is a belt that triggers prolonged bursts of adrenaline in Judas. This of course leads to faster reflexes and reaction time as well as endurance, focus, and pain tolerance. The Shell of Hatred features two (2) stimulant injectors in each forearm. There is one (1) injection of Yaladai and Echani battle stims for each forearm.
Strengths:
- [+] Simple: It's simple armor mostly. It's not too heavy, fairly durable and gets the job done. Repairing and maintaining it is usually quite easy and there's no internal or electronic systems to fail or worry about. Just a plain ol' suit of armor.
- [+] Adrenaline Junkie: There are stimulant injectors and an amplifier belt. These two factors help Judas move faster, hit harder, and endure pain easier.
- [-] Simple: Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication, right? Not so much in a technologically modern galaxy. There's no life support, no HUD, no vacuum-sealing, and nothing that your average soldier possesses. The most the Shell of Hatred has is a small encrypted comlink embedded in its helmet.
- [-] One-Time Use: The stims are a one time use. If Judas uses them early on in the battle then he will be out of a great boost to his physical abilities. However, if he uses them together or too quickly then he will be faced with several side effects (nausea, dizziness, abdominal pain, muscle spasms, hallucinations) to deal with while fighting an enemy.
This suit of armor is the embodiment of hatred. Black phrik has been wrought by age-old One Sith smiths into a humanoid figure with a feral helmet to top it. The Shell of Hatred was commissioned by Sith Lord Judas Foster early in his tenure with the One Sith and decided to make the most of his time there by forging this iconic suit of armor for use in battle.
First and foremost, this is a rather simple design. Phrik plating layered over an armorweave underlay. It's nothing special and provides resistance against a wide variety of weapons to include lightsabers, blasters, and slugthrowers. Judas specifically altered his armorweave underlay to be moisture wicking and has outer padding to provide comfort during extended use. The main frame of the armor is reinforced, particularly to prevent its wearer from being instantly crushed by objects such as falling debris.
The main and only feature of the Shell of Hatred is its adrenaline amplifier belt. This belt triggers prolonged bursts of adrenaline in Judas. This, coupled with the pair of stimulant injectors located in each forearm, allowed Judas to exponentially heighten his awareness, reflexes, pain tolerance, and connection to the Force. However, each stim is single-use, doesn't last very long, and usually come with a heap of side effects that range from nausea to disorientation and hallucinations.
Summarily, the Shell of Hatred is a simple armor system. It's meant to intimidate, keep Judas from being outright killed in battle, and give him something to take care of and maintain when he isn't chopping off limbs.
