Shedding Blood for Mandalore

Gray had been called out to Concord Dawn via challenge by [member="Ijaat Mereel"] during the latest council meeting. He had been accused of slaughtering innocents and to face judgement for it. But he had never done what he was accused of. He did not killed any innocents or even harm anyone. It was hard to do either of those when you never drew your weapons the whole time. But a challenge was a challenge. He would show up to answer it because that was what Mandalorians did.

Gray sat in the cockpit seat of his ship as Key flew the ship. He saw Concord Dawn come into view as he thought about how he was going to handle this challenge. He leaned forward and pressed the com button. He cleared his throat then said, " This is Alor Gray Raxis. I am here to meet with an Ijaat Mereel. I need permission to land and a location of where to meet with him." He then sent the signal and leaned back. It was time to wait for the reply and see how this whole affair was going to go.

A short, clipped message was all the response the preachy young man would get as he was slowly guided in by a pair of patrol craft. Either he was viewed as a lesser threat, or Ijaat just didn't have the forces at current to bother sending more. More than likely the former, given the tone of reply and original message.

"Alor Mereel will met you at transmitted coordinates. Stay with your escort. Deviation from them or the flight path will prompt you being shot from the sky without warning."

Static hiss filled the comm before it was killed, indicating someone had slammed a receiver or some such button. But coordinates had indeed been sent, and the escorts were such a type they likely had a bigger cousin lurking nearby. This close to Mandalore no full fleet or battle formation would get through anyway.

Gray noticed the tone in the message meant to disrespect him. If this was how they were going to be, then he couldn't expect much more than passive aggressive remarks and constant disrespect towards him. The man had challenged him, yet this was how he was being treated? Was it really the Mandalorian way to be so disrespectful to those who were accepting a challenge made on the basis of a misunderstanding no matter what it was over? No that it mattered much because this was the kind of behavior his clan had always been given by the other ones. It also didn't matter how they treated him, he planned on being as respectful and friendly as he normally would be. If they wanted to act that this then that was them dishonoring themselves.

Gray followed the escort, not that he was a threat to anyone down there. When he landed, he stepped out wearing his armor with his bryar pistol strapped to his right leg. The hilt of his lightsaber Whisper hung next to it. He had no attachments or any other weapons on him. He had his droid Key join him and headed to the coordinates that were sent to him. He was here to meet with [member="Ijaat Mereel"] about the challenge he issued, and knowing his fellow Mandalorians it would likely be a rather heated, violent affair. Not that it was bad for things to get either option, just would have been better if the reason for it was actually not over a misunderstanding. Either way, he would meet Ijaat soon.
