SPECIAL FEATURES
  • GK3 Cryocooling Unit: A cooling unit often found in E-Webs and other heavy, stationary repeating blasters, the GK3 Cryocooler is an advanced and quick piece of compact technology that allows the SHB to rapidly cool itself almost immediately after firing.
Strengths:
  • Bolt Farmer: The SHB has an incredibly large power cell and Gas Canister, needing an underslung storage on the weapon just to hold them. Thanks to these big reserves, the blaster can just keep firing without much to stop it.
  • Cool Customer: Thanks to the included GK3 Cryocooler, the SHB is able to fire for long periods of time and still not suffer serious overheating, with a cooler intended for even heavier weapons.
Weaknesses:
  • Weighs a Ton: The SHB-12, thanks to the all the included components and features is an unusually heavy weapon, weighing more than some standard suits of armour, and requires a good amount of strength to properly hold.
  • Hold Still!: Partially thanks to the great weight of the weapon and its rate of fire, the SHB-12 has already become quite notable for its recoil; liable to send physically weak or untrained shooters spinning all over the place and with a lot of bruises, the heavy blaster requires a strong user or someone experienced with the weapon's kick-back to be properly effective. This is only made worse with the weapon's lack of an included bipod.
DESCRIPTION

Designed from the start as a support weapon, the SHB-12 was originally intended to be a stationary repeating blaster in its earliest forms; however, it was decided that it would sell better as a Heavy Blaster to be used from either a stationary or moving position. Some components of the original design remain, such as the cooling system, but this left the dilemma of how to keep ammunition capacity high to justify it.

Eventually, the underslung power/gas capacitor was designed for the weapon and attached to the side but held underneath the weapon, granting great ammunition capacity and giving the user something else to possibly lean on. To add to the weapon's mobile design idea, any bipod or tripod ideas were dismissed, with a foregrip being added instead to aid in dealing with the weapon's recoil.
