SPECIAL FEATURES

• Stealth Field Generator: In its default setting (Sun), the generator functions like a stealth field generator, warping visible light and other electromagnetic radiation around the user to render them invisible to both the naked eye and non-visual sensors. The gravitic warping effects of Isotope-5 also obscures the user's mass shadow much like a gravitic amplitude modulator.

• Anti-Tech Bubble: While inverted (Shadow), the device loses its cloaking function, but is replaced by a second powerful effect. The Isotope-5 core is reconfigured to disable or severely degrade the operation of most electronics/photonics, which includes powered weapons (i.e. blasters, vibro-weapons), energy based-shields, light vehicles, droids, cyborgs & cybernetic enhancements, power armor, sensors, comms, and energy transmissions. This is achieved by modulating the Isotope-5 core warping effects to severely slow the movement of electromagnetic energy and electricity, while biological systems, purely mechanical systems, and forced-attuned technology like lightsabers remain unaffected. In a sense, it's an inversion of the Ysalamiri and other force suppression methods favored by tech-reliant NFU.

STRENGTHS

DESCRIPTION

Background:

Ord Radama was never fully tamed, even in the golden years of Imperial rule. After the collapse of the New Imperial Order, a fragment of its strength endured here — a loyalist garrison that weathered two decades of attrition, sabotage, and silence. For years, they served as little more than borderwardens, occupying the urban sprawl of Radama Prime and the surrounding provinces with relative stability. But beneath that quiet presence, something deeper stirred.

Four years ago, the Empire-in-exile — or what remained of it — reinforced the world with a hidden project cloaked behind bureaucratic misdirection. A repurposed administrative complex became the cover for a highly classified weapons and energy research facility: Facility Theta-9, conducting experiments far beyond what was publicly sanctioned. Its presence remained a secret — until the locals uncovered the truth.

The moment the veil was lifted, rebellion spread like fire. Unified for the first time in generations, the insurgents swept through outlying districts, shattering Imperial control and cornering the garrison within the fortified research hub itself. For the past six months, parts of the 181st Stormtrooper Legion have fought a brutal siege, holding the crumbling perimeter as resources dwindle and enemies close in.

During years of research into developing a stable miniature sun, an unknown researcher within the classified Facility Theta-9 began to experiment with small samples of Isotope-5 to create an effective containment system by taking advantage of the exotic substance's inherent gravitic and electromagnetic warping qualities. Development of this system proved fruitful, though the researcher also stumbled upon other uses for the Isotope-5 as he mastered its properties.

He discovered that warping effects could be finely controlled for specific effects beyond power generation and levitation, with great potential for direct weaponization. Abandoning his original project, he focused on such weaponization efforts to help turn the tide of the war for the failing empire. The first stage of the development resulted in the creation of prototype field generators meant for elite Imperial Force Users and special commandos. They would allow Imp units to quietly infiltrate deep into enemy formations and then completely suppress their operation of conventional weaponry and comms for easy elimination and the disruption of command and control functions. This particular technology was developed with the Mandalorians in mind, as Ord Radama and much of the western frontier of imperial space bordered the Manda cluster, where clashes with the martial people wasn't uncommon.

The scientist had even greater plans for the weaponization of Isotope-5, but before his final goals could be realized, he was killed during one of the skirmishes targeting the facility in the first days of the rebellion on Ord Radama, just as he was leaving for home one evening. All that remain is his encrypted research files and a small batch working prototypes that were now for the taking by both the imperial remnant and rebel forces.
