Dev Shadows of Atrisia

Development on Factory, Codex, etc. roleplay.
A single shallow basin of clear water rested near the platform, its surface perfectly still, not a ripple disturbing its mirror-like calm, the water so clear it seemed to hold the reflection of the room's interior with perfect fidelity, each detail of the silk panels and the crystal patterns captured in its still, glassy surface, a reflection that seemed to offer a glimpse into another world, a world that existed just beneath the surface of ordinary perception. The air carried only the faintest trace of sandalwood, a scent so subtle it required conscious attention to notice, a fragrance that invited the mind to settle and the breath to deepen, a fragrance that had been chosen specifically for this purpose, to create an atmosphere of calm and focus, to prepare the mind for the work that lay ahead.

Junko closed the sliding door behind her with a soft click, sealing the room into silence, the sound of the latch engaging a definitive boundary between the outer world of duties and the inner world of practice, the transition complete as she turned toward the center of the chamber, her footsteps silent on the polished stone floor, her reflection appearing in the surface of the water as she passed, a brief, ghostly image that seemed to linger for a moment before fading back into the stillness of the room.

She stepped onto the white stone platform and sank gracefully into a kneeling posture, the seafoam silk pooling around her knees in soft folds that caught the ambient light and cast gentle reflections on the stone beneath her, the fabric settling into a comfortable arrangement that allowed her to sit for extended periods without discomfort, a posture that had become second nature through years of practice and discipline.

The White Lotus remained at her waist, its curved hilt a familiar weight against her hip, a weight that was both a comfort and a reminder of the responsibilities she carried, the duties that awaited her beyond the walls of this quiet room; Musashi rested beside the platform within easy reach, the ancient blade's presence a reminder of the warrior's path even as she turned toward the quieter discipline of Force immersion, a discipline that required a different kind of strength, a different kind of focus, a different kind of presence.
