Dev Shadows of Atrisia

Development on Factory, Codex, etc. roleplay.
She reignited the White Lotus with a sharp snap-hiss the activation sound itself shorter and more aggressive than before and the pure white blade flared brighter and hotter, its containment field tightening so that the blade was narrower and more intense, the pink and gold flecks at the edge moving more rapidly. Its hum rose to an aggressive, almost challenging tone, a higher pitch with a subtle waver that suggested barely contained power. Musashi came free in her left hand with a ringing metallic whisper, the blade leaving the saya with a speed that produced a faint, high note sustained for a fraction of a second before settling into her grip.

She launched into the opening sequence of Juyo with controlled fury, every movement a study in the channeling of passion into technique. The White Lotus exploded forward in a series of rapid, savage strikes short, brutal thrusts aimed at the imaginary opponent's throat and chest, powerful overhead chops that came down at diagonal angles, each blow driven by explosive power from her hips and shoulders rather than the elegant precision of Makashi or the patient efficiency of Soresu.

The blade moved so fast it left glowing afterimages that lingered for half a second, creating a visual record of its path through the air. Musashi complemented the assault with heavy, sweeping cuts that cleared space around her wide horizontal arcs at waist and knee height and punished any imagined defense, the heavy crystal steel blade carrying enough momentum to shatter a lesser weapon or cleave through armor. Junko's movements were fast and relentless, a continuous forward advance across the clearing, her petite frame moving with surprising ferocity as she drove forward step by step. The wide sleeves of her kimono, so graceful in the earlier forms, now whipped dramatically through the air, the heavy silk snapping like flags in a strong wind, the triple hollyhock crests visible only as brief flashes of gold.

Juyo's hallmark channeling raw emotion and passion into combat, using the Force to amplify aggression rather than to calm or center burned brightly in her practice. The form required the practitioner to draw on deep reserves of feeling, to transform anger or passion or righteous fury into a weapon without allowing that emotion to take control, and Junko walked that edge with the precision of long practice. She unleashed a devastating combination: a spinning leap that brought the White Lotus crashing down in a powerful diagonal strike from high right to low left, the plasma blade leaving a searing trail across her field of vision, while Musashi followed with a low, sweeping cut meant to hamstring or unbalance any opponent still standing after the overhead blow.

She landed hard, the impact jarring through her legs, and immediately pressed the attack without pausing to recover, her blades moving in chaotic yet calculated patterns fast, unpredictable, overwhelming. The combination was designed not to outmaneuver an opponent but to overwhelm them, to present so many threats simultaneously that no defense could possibly address them all. The White Lotus's plasma blade left searing trails of light among the falling petals, some blossoms vaporizing instantly in brilliant white flashes when they touched the superheated plasma, others igniting briefly and falling as tiny embers.

Musashi's mirrored edge reflected the chaos in fractured shards of sunlight and pink, the garden's serene image broken into a thousand scattered reflections across the blade's moving surface. Her breathing grew sharper, more primal audible exhales with each strike, the sound of effort and focus yet remained controlled, never crossing into the ragged gasping of genuine exhaustion. She flowed through more advanced Juyo techniques, each one building on the intensity of the last. She incorporated brutal feints false attacks so committed that they were indistinguishable from real ones until the last possible moment and overwhelming multi-angle assaults that attacked high and low, left and right simultaneously.

A high thrust with the lightsaber, aimed at the eyes, was immediately followed by a powerful spinning slash from Musashi at knee height, the two blades working in vicious harmony to split an opponent's attention and defenses. The high thrust forced a parry or a dodge; the low slash capitalized on the momentary distraction. Junko's footwork became more aggressive: lunging forward in long, committed steps that closed distance rapidly, pivoting sharply on the ball of her foot to change direction without losing momentum, driving her entire body weight behind each strike so that even the lighter lightsaber carried crushing force.

The force beads in her hair whipped wildly with every turn, their chains tangling briefly before the momentum of the next movement pulled them free, their light pulsing faster and brighter in response to the intensity of her Force use. The jade kimono, though elegant by nature and design, now moved with raw, unapologetic power the heavy silk straining at the seams with the force of her movements, the wide sleeves cracking like whips when she reversed direction, the hem swirling in tight vortices around her legs.

Even in Juyo's aggression, traces of earlier forms remained visible deliberate inclusions that demonstrated a mastery beyond pure ferocity. A brief Soresu parry, executed with tight efficiency, was embedded within an overwhelming assault: for an instant, as she pressed forward with a series of attacks, she would shift seamlessly into a defensive posture, blocking an imaginary counterattack before resuming the offensive. A flash of Makashi precision appeared amid the chaos: a sudden, perfectly aimed thrust that contrasted with the wild slashes surrounding it, a pinpoint strike hidden within a storm of wider attacks.

An Ataru-inspired leap a sudden, explosive jump that carried her over an imaginary opponent gained her height for a crushing overhead blow, the White Lotus descending in a vertical chop that used gravity and momentum to multiply its power. This integration was the true strength of her Atrisian Jar'Kai mastery: Juyo's passion was fueled by the foundation of all that had come before, the Ferocity Form drawing on the structure and discipline of the earlier forms to channel its intensity into controlled, effective technique rather than wild, unfocused rage. The garden itself responded to the shift in energy: petals that had drifted gently through the earlier forms now swirled violently in miniature cyclones around her, caught in the turbulent air displaced by her rapid movements.

The surface of the pool, so still during her Soresu practice, now rippled continuously from the vibrations transmitted through the ground and the air, the reflected canopy breaking into shifting fragments of pink and green. As the sequence reached its crescendo, Junko unleashed a final, devastating barrage a display of controlled ferocity that pushed the form to its limits. She executed a spinning aerial assault, leaping higher than in any previous form, the Force lifting her into a full rotation, both blades extended and sweeping through overlapping arcs that brought them crashing down in a dual overhead strike as she landed, the White Lotus and Musashi hitting the same imaginary point from slightly different angles.

This was followed immediately by a ground-shaking series of rapid thrusts and slashes a combination of perhaps fifteen strikes in as many seconds, the blades moving too fast for the eye to track individually, each strike aimed at a different zone, the sequence designed to overwhelm any conceivable defense. The air hummed with the sound of the lightsaber and sang with the passage of the katana, and petals in the vicinity were shredded into confetti, so many tiny fragments of pink that they looked like a sudden snow of color. She finished with a powerful exhalation a sharp, controlled release of breath that carried the last of the aggressive energy out of her body both weapons sweeping inward from their extended positions to a low, ready guard, the White Lotus humming aggressively at her right side, Musashi's edge gleaming with the reflected fury of the practice.

Slowly, the ferocity ebbed, draining out of her posture and her expression like water from a tilted vessel. Junko straightened from the aggressive crouch, her knees straightening, her shoulders relaxing, her spine lengthening back into its normal, regal posture. She was breathing heavily but controlled, each breath deep and even, her heart rate already beginning to slow. She deactivated the White Lotus, the white blade retracting with a softer sigh than before, as if the weapon itself was returning to a state of rest. She sheathed Musashi with deliberate reverence, the katana sliding home into its jade saya with a definitive click that seemed to mark the end of something.

The garden gradually returned to its former tranquility as the last displaced petals settled around her, the pool's surface smoothing, the miniature cyclones dissipating, the air growing still once more. A light sheen of sweat glowed on her light golden skin the honest evidence of sustained physical effort and her ruby lips were slightly parted, her breathing still deeper than at rest. Her large lustrous eyes, the black irises flecked with green and blue, burned with the satisfied intensity of a challenge met and mastered. The force beads in her oiled chestnut hair slowly stilled, their swaying decreasing until they hung motionless, their inner light returning to a calm, steady pulse.

Her jade kimono, slightly disheveled from the intensity of the Juyo practice a fold out of place here, a sleeve slightly twisted there still maintained its essential elegance, the triple hollyhock crests intact, the obi still secure with the White Lotus resting in its clasp. The morning practice with the blades had reached its natural conclusion, a full cycle that had carried her from the foundational sweeps of Shii-Cho through the elegant precision of Makashi, the unyielding defense of Soresu, the acrobatic power of Ataru, the harmonious integration of Niman, and finally the passionate ferocity of Juyo. Each form had built upon the last, each transition had been seamless, and the whole had been greater than the sum of its parts.

Junko stood amid the swirling cherry blossoms, her breathing gradually slowing to its resting rate as the fierce energy of Juyo ebbed away like a tide retreating from the shore. She deactivated the White Lotus with a gentle press of her thumb, the brilliant white blade retracting into its elegant hilt of bleached spider carapace and mirror-polished crystal steel. Musashi slid home into its jade saya with a soft, final click, the sound crisp and definitive. Both weapons once more rested securely at the center of her midnight-blue obi the White Lotus nestled within its lotus-shaped clasp like a sacred bloom awaiting its season, Musashi at her left hip, its jade saya aligned with the kimono's green as if they had been made as a single piece.
