Private Shadows in Silk

They clinked their glasses and leaned back into the water, this time… without the tension.

Location: The Gilded Veil – Sublevel 4, Restricted Maintenance Shaft

Kael adjusted the grip on his blaster and knelt beside the final panel. The soft hissss of Arq's tool winding down behind him confirmed it — they were in.

They had followed Therin's footprint through ghost door logs, minor energy surges, and one distinctly forbidden sigil burned into the wall, now scrubbed.

At the bottom was a vaulted corridor of impossible geometry. The kind that made you question what floor you were standing on — or if gravity had stopped obeying the rules.

Pillars pulsed with veins of scarlet light, and the air was thick with weight. Not pressure — presence.

"I don't like this," Arq whispered. "I love expensive things. Velvet, wine, eyeliner... not cursed basements."
They reached the chamber's center.

In the middle of the room, raised on an altar of slick obsidian, was the crate from the footage.
