Private Shadows in a Criminal World (Ilwynog/Phalsi)

Ilwynog decided to take a step away from the busy Jedi life on Kashyyyk, they decided to meet a Padawan on the busy city world of Nar Shaddaa, it was perfect spot for a Shadow to explore the criminal underworld. The criminal organisations tended to meet and a lot of the times they formed on Nar Shaddaa. Ilwynog adjusted their armour, as they wandered into the biggest area of criminal activity, refugee sector. The least fortunate were always the most susceptible to gang activity, mostly unwanted.

Ilwynog wandered around, spotting several gangs and illegal activities ongoing. They paid some information from one civilian, to get a better idea on the ongoing ruling for the world as they walked into the cantina. Curious about this Padawan that they were meeting, Ilwynog pulled out their file and starting reading up on them. Training a Padawan was not the job that Ilwynog wanted to do, but then leading the Shadows was not their plan either. It was just lucky they were always a super cautious person, keeping real names and history private, so private they weren't known even to the Assembly. Refusing to order a drink, they waited to meet this Padawan.

Phalsi wore her discreet armored street clothes, this time looking like your run of the mill street rat rather than an illustrious member of the silver jedi order. False pockets kept the twin lightsabers close on her hips but her personal device was kept in a breast pocket. She had already caught a few hands attempting to swipe the decoy credit chit in her back pocket as she made her way to the cantina. The real one kept in the other breast pocket.

A holonet search had given her the directions she needed to the place. This mentor having struck her interest as she slowly picked her way through the streets. More than once she gave a knowing smile to hired thugs, seeing all the call signs they typically had when not wanting to try to be to obvious they were on a dirty job.

She had taken several deep breaths, reliving her rebellious teen years with the environment she found herself in. She had a laundry list of minor troubles that were supposedly expunged once she had signed onto the order, but a good search could find several things that should have likely vetted her from the order.

Illegal slicing into private company servers for one, and a lot of them for such a young woman. Never mind the number of thefts, being caught with stolen goods, running with a small gang and starting fights. Being out past curfew, missing person's notices for sneaking out of the house or being gone for several days. All of which were noted to be found out by someone snitching on her. A footnote on each stating that a careful eye should be kept on her near any device with holonet access, and surveillance requirements for her stays in lockup after hacking the wall panels and escaping a few times.

Her record with the order was far cleaner, but not spotless. Notes of ignoring authority or using resources for personal projects prevalent in her early record. One large note being an attempt to access the archives remotely rather than going to the archive itself, reason being that she did not want to leave her room.

That someone had deigned to being her mentor made her curious. Were they as dubious as she was? More so maybe? Only one way to find out she figured, entering the cantina and moving to the bar without stopping. The loner with no drink caught her attention first, sitting herself a few seats away from them and ordering a tea over alcohol.

It was only sensible that they performed a background check on anyone joining the Order and especially ones that they had to take on as part of the Shadows or a Padawan. It was important to know someone that one would spend time teaching was not a Sith spy, especially when you were head of the spies in the Silver Jedi Order, feel bit silly not knowing whether or not there was a spy in close proximity to themselves. There was an interesting rap sheet on the Padawan but nothing too concerning, usual teenage behaviour from what they could tell, or at least that was similar to their own teenage years. On their holster was their guns and cloak only slightly hides their weapons.

They noticed the Padawan walking into the cantina, not making any gesture to the Padawan, they saw several dealers were selling spice, it was clearly knock-off dose that they were selling. Ilwynog tutted loudly at the poor quality spice was being sold around here. They were expecting for spice to at least be suitable enough to work on some level and not be made of rubbish. The dealers glared at Ilwynog with a sneer on their face. Ilwynog ignored them and looked over to the bartender and ordered a Corellian whisky.

The dealers were not happy, clearly wanting to start a fight but Ilwynog could sense their mood and already had a hand on the pommel of his blaster.

The dealers behind her made noise, and Phalsi made the no thanks face while shaking her hand as a doubled no. Spices had never intrigued her in the first place, and still hadn't even when she had become older. She turned back around, taking a sip of tea before they made to come over and apparently deal with a problem they felt needed dealt with. She had just enough of a view on them with the shiny surfaces behind the bar to see them coming.

Giving a tiny smile to the bartender, the almost non-existent nod of her head for them to move down the bar could easily be missed. Setting the tea down, one hand was already prepared to force grab a lightsaber out of her pocket while the other would push her away from the bar. She didn't think this was the best way to start the day off, but nothing big ever happened without a bang she supposed.
