DESCRIPTION
Shadowport Investigations is a small investigations firm operated by Seamus Valik a former republic Jedi that became disillusioned with the views of the Order. The main focus of Shadowport investigations is information gathering and evidence accumulation. The company iperates similarly to the old bounty hunter's guild where a client request a target found, a price is negotiated, and work begins. Clients are able to contact Seamus at his office on Sulon or drop a request into the his systems on Mriost Station and will receive a confirmation of acceptance as well as prices for the work.
Shadowport investigations also maintains records of investigations based on the kind of investigation and also offers NDAs as well as other client rights privileges. Due to limited licensing and cost issues Shadowport Investigations does not have authority or jurisdiction in the galaxy at large and currently opperates without full legal sanction from any multi world Government. They do guarantee that their services will not implicate clients in any illegalities that may or may not occur during imvestigations to wit clients are protected by contract for any laws broken during contract investigations.
RATIONALE
Seamus Valik who was at one time a budding Jedi Scholar and investigator was left homeless and disillusioned by the fall of the Republic. He was taken in by chance by Avalore Eden and her family on Sulon where he spent his time playing Earthwarsrp.net with his holonet friends.
He often found himself feeling like he had a great many skills and np ise for them. His idleness changed, however, when he heard of a missing child nearby and offered his help finding the child. His unique skills set and force abilities made finding the child easy and gave him a sense of accomplishment he had missed.
After searching the holonet for investigations companies outside of local authorities he found there were none. With that in mind he contacted a bank, and applied for a loan for a start-up company as well as applying for a business license. He found a holonet college that offered a online certification for investigators and recieved full certification.
After the loan was approved he set up a satellite location on Kroist station where he can pick up and drop encrypted files for later use and also receive contract offers from clients that require anonymity. He also built a small three room one bath office on Sulon where he can maintain files, sleep and work on cases.
