  • Canon Link: Force Cloak Taozin nodule
  • Restricted Missions: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Name: Sith Artifact
  • Manufacturer: [member="Erin Tenel"] / The Crystal Forge
  • Affiliation: Closed-Market
  • Modularity: No

  • Production: Semi-Unique (Maximum of 10 characters)
  • Material: Gold, Ruby, Silver (all alchemically hardened), Taozin nodule,Shadowsilk
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Personal Cloaking Device for all mundane and technological senses (using Force Cloak)
  • Personal Force Blank effect.
Strengths:

  • Stealth: When activated it is a comprehensive stealth unit. From sound to vision and different visual spectra, it can cover all technological stealth detection methods.
  • Force Stealth: When worn it causes the wearer to disappear in to the background noise of the Force for as long as it is worn, making them all but undetectable to Force senses.
Weaknesses:
  • Force-nullifiers: the presence of void stones, ysalamirs and other Force-nullifiers will render the user quite visible indeed.
  • Far from perfect: the concealment is no stronger than a standard personal cloak - rapid movement, gunfire or loud speech will disrupt the effect as will the use of overt Force powers or powers that affect others.
  • Just a clasp: while mildly alchemically treated, this is not a dark side creation and does not share their resistance to damage.
  • No Nudists Allowed: The clasp needs to be attached to an article of clothing which completely encircles the wearers body to have any effect. If this clothing is removed or severed, the effect fails.
DESCRIPTION

As her corruption (and her arrogance) grew greater, Er'in Tenel chose to rely less upon mundane technology than upon the Force. Understanding that she was now somewhat visible in the Force as an overt Dark Side user, her first attempt at concealment was comparatively crude (if effective) and took the form of a cloak clasp attached to a fine quality hooded shadowsilk cloak (the cloak was mostly for effect, but the clasp does need to be attached to an article of clothing which completely encircles the wearers body to have any effect).

The main effect however, which was to render the wearer all but undetectable in the Force as long as the broach was worn. This was achieved in part through the use of a taozin nodule, it's effects channeled to render the wearer nothing more than part of the background spectrum of the force.

Er'in imbued the existing node with concealment-aspected Force energy in order to attempt to enhance its power and make it's non-detection effect unbreakable, this failed, but the side effect generated was to allow the wearer to channel the force into the clasp, at which point it could replicate the effects of a Personal Cloaking Device, using the light and EM bending effects of the Force Cloaking techniques she had learned from Darth Metus' many relics.

No portion of this clasp was mind affecting - Er'in had met too many Force Users who shrugged off such effects to rely upon them for her concealment. And while far from perfect (or what she had intended) this first real forray into non-Sith techniques proved quite valuable.

Unfortunately, with the materials available Er'in was unable to construct more than a handful of these items.

I want one.

Could you also list this in the weaknesses, seeing as it's a restriction as to what the clasp can be attached to to be effective?
