Description:
This gun is made for special force groups or assassins. It's primary weapon is a particle beam rifle with an effective range of 1200 meters. It doesn't have the longest range for a sniper rifle, but it makes up for this by being able to fire a bolt that is invisible. (Source for this technology) The drawback to this ability, however, is the canisters which hold the specialized gases needed to make the bolt invisible, are very expensive. At 1,000 credits each, you won't be taking this to the range just to go plinking around.

The other special feature to this weapon was the dart gun that it possessd. Unlike pre-filled darts, though, the darts loaded would be empty. The canister with the biohazard symbol on it contains several vials (4) of different compounds. When the shooter is ready, he/she simply chooses which toxin/tranquilizer he/she wishes to use, and the dart is then injected. The dart gun is now ready to fire. Although this method grants the user a lot of versatility. The dart gun is very slow to fire. Requiring a minimum of 5 seconds in between shots, to reload a new dart, and inject the selected toxin/tranquilizer.

Strengths:
Versatility
Invisible particle beam

Weaknesses:
Low effective range for a sniper rifle
Slow reload time with the dart gun
Expensive to own and operate
Cannot fire at redirection crystals due to lower power yield in the shot

Everything seems okay except for one or two things, which are easy to fix or work with.

  1. The weight is a bit light, could you perhaps raise it to 3.5-4 kg?
  2. The link you provided for the ammo technology in canon lists the maximum capacity of a canister of being 5 shots. Is there some different use or compression ratio that allows for your 70 and 350 shots? (I'm not going to restrict you to 5 shots, which would be ridiculous, even if it does use invisible rounds, but I need some information before I make a decision on this.)

Not a problem at all. Weight adjusted. I want it to be as light as possible. So, I hope you don't mind that I took your lower number.

As for the ammo amount, I'm attributing that to it's not able to fire as long a range as a normal sniper rifle could. Also, because of this, is cannot fire at a readjustment crystal like the nightstinger can. (I'll add that to the weaknesses now)

The difference between the 70-350 shots was to make the extra range of sniper round be fair. So instead of 350 rounds of normal fire, you can get in a sniper shot that is much more accurate. But it will cost you 5 times the power! And considering the cost of the canisters themselves, it was an attempt to get the user to choose what kind of shots he/she makes wisely. :)

Also the particle beam is a less condensed bolt than a regular blaster bolt. Which is what makes it unstable. The 350 was what was on the template. So i started there. Made sniper shots cost 5 times the power, and viola, 70 shots for sniper. Anyway. I forgot to add this to the reasoning yesterday.

Does lowering the ammo down by about 30% to 250/50 sound better?

Edit: and no worries on the delay. We all get busy from time to time. :)
