  • Classification: Slugthrower Sniper Rifle
  • Launch System: Rail‑assisted EM coils and gravitic shapers lining the barrel provide hypersonic launch for Basilisk and Shatter‑Core ammunition at full power, achieving muzzle energies comparable to autocannons and sufficient to seriously threaten beskar and other top‑grade armors under optimal conditions.
  • Power Setting Modulation: The rifle's launch cycle can be stepped through discrete power levels. At full power, it drives Basilisk, Shatter‑Core, and other heavy rounds into hypersonic, armor‑crushing regimes. At the lowest power setting, known as Wraith Shot mode, the rails deliberately under‑accelerate compatible slugs into subsonic velocities for maximum stealth at the expense of effective range and penetration.
  • Size: Large
  • Weight: Heavy
  • Ammunition Type: The Shûkkyant uses a family of proprietary specialist munitions. Any munitions fire can be launched subsonic by reducing rail power, dramatically reducing flight noise but also kinetic energy and armor performance, or fired at hyper velocity for maximum kinetic energy and armor performance.
    • Silent Lance Active-Cancellation Slugs: Default loadout. Phantom rounds that embed an active wave‑cancellation system into each slug. A special outer skin and micro‑scale emitters sense the forming shock front in flight and generate precisely timed counter‑waves, shaving the hypersonic crack into a smeared, localized hiss instead of a sharp boom.
    • Basilisk‑Pattern Armor‑Piercing Slugs: Anti‑heavy‑armor penetrators derived from Beskar, driven at hypersonic velocities. Super‑dense cores optimized to crack, pierce, or deform even the thickest beskar plating and comparable armor when striking joints, seams, visor rims, stressed plates, or otherwise vulnerable geometry.
    • Hangman Crippling Rounds: Fragmenting/tumbling rounds tuned to destroy joints, ligaments, and structural bones. Ideal for disabling escapees and leaving prisoners alive but ruined.
    • Sith Poison Tipped Slugs: Subsonic or supersonic rounds with sealed reservoirs of Sith poisons that inflict agony, multiplied the rage felt by the victim, and eroded their ability to resist the Dark Side of the Force, as well as degrading an opponents control over the Force through acumulated rage.
    • Devaronian Blood Poison Rounds: Specialist toxin payloads using Devaronian blood poison to induce extreme pain, weakness, or slow degenerative failure in tough or stubborn targets.
    • Hex‑Marked "Curse" Slugs: Alchemically inscribed rounds whose impact seeds lingering trauma, nightmares, phantom pains, creeping dread, within survivors.
    • Shatter‑Core Overpressure Rounds: Heavy anti‑material ammunition. Over‑pressured slugs built to punch through hulls, bulkheads, and hardened cover, then fragment violently beyond the impact point; loud, conspicuous.
    • Stalker‑Mark Tracking Slugs: Pursuit rounds that lodge or fracture into tiny rice sized transponder shards or alchemically keyed fragments that emit encrypted locator signals and a faint dark side "scent" allowing Jekkath and Inquisitorius systems to follow prey over time, barring painful removal or purification.
    • Power Cell: High‑density cell feeding the rail‑assist coils, suppression suite, recoil shunt, optics, and dark side lattice; does not replace physical ammunition.
  • Ammunition Capacity: Small - 8+1 Internal Magazine (One chambered round plus eight in the internal stack), with spare magazines typically carried.
  • Effective Range: Extreme
  • Rate of Fire: Very Low - Deliberate Semi‑Automatic Fire
  • Damage Output: Extreme
  • Recoil: Average

  • Advanced Suppression Architecture: Whisper‑Core baffling, tuned gas‑management, subsonic firing capability, and dark side muffling combine to crush flash and muzzle report at the shooter's position into a curt, ugly cough instead of a ringing shot, making local source‑location by sound and sight extremely difficult.
  • Dark Side Bled Kyber Focusing Core: A bled kyber–derived power channel runs through the barrel and receiver, locked into a sigil‑bound lattice that subtly corrects trajectories, enhances penetration for selected shots, and allows Jekkath to "lean" his will into the bullet's path at the cost of accumulating spiritual stain and increased Force visibility.
  • Integrated Inertial Recoil Shunt: A miniaturized inertial‑compensator array in the stock and receiver is tuned specifically to Jekkath and the rifle. It bleeds off the worst of the rifle's brutal recoil into localized spacetime distortion, keeping even full‑power, rail‑assisted AP and anti‑material shots barely manageable for him while preserving some kick for haptic feedback.
  • Predator's Eye Scope: Variable‑zoom optics with thermal and low‑light modes, motion‑tracking overlays, and a crimson Force Sight filter that lets Jekkath sense tension, intent, and imminent movement through the reticle, blending precognition with ballistics.
  • Silenced Action and Handling: Sarrassian iron internals, terentatek leather and rubberized contact surfaces, damped sling mounts, and non‑reflective finishes keep cycling, shoulder transitions, and general movement ghost‑quiet, with minimal metallic noise or visual glint.
  • Rune‑Etched Execution Lattice: Sith runes etched along the barrel and receiver can be "lit" through focused will to momentarily spike penetration, fear projection, or metaphysical trauma, at the cost of personal exertion and a louder psychic footprint.
  • Ritual Attunement to Jekkath: The rifle is metaphysically keyed to Jekkath Raxus. In his hands, the kyber lattice, recoil shunt, and subtle aim nudges function as intended; in others', the weapon becomes temperamental, its benefits largely dormant or actively hostile.
  • Terentatek Hide Interface: Terentatek leather along the cheek rest, grips, and contact pads creates a force‑resistant "dead zone" at the shooter's touch points, helping insulate the weapon from hostile force manipulation through Mechu-Deru.

  • Rail‑Driven Execution Power: All rounds fired by the rifle have the ability to penetrate infantry-grade beskar. However, the Basilisk‑Pattern Armor‑Piercing Slugs and the Shatter‑Core Overpressure Rounds when fired at full power significantly escalate this capability, able to punch through beskar-constructed hulls, bulkheads, and vehicle-grade armor.
  • Silent, Unseen Hunter: Advanced suppression at the muzzle plus Wraith Shot mode and Silent‑Lance slugs give the Shûkkyant an eerie acoustic signature; at the shooter's end it barely coughs, and in flight the right rounds whisper rather than crack, making it extremely difficult for targets to realize they're under long‑range fire until it is too late.
  • Surgical Assassin Platform: Every aspect of the rifle, from power modulation and optics to recoil and ammunition, is optimized for carefully prepared ambushes, decapitation strikes, and the elimination of high‑value prey, especially Force Sensitives who trust too much in armor, sabers, or distance.
  • Terrifying Ammunition Ecology: Its specialized munitions allow Jekkath to tailor outcomes with surgical precision: Silent kills, crippling shots, slow poisonous deaths, cursed survivors, tracked fugitives, or brutal anti‑material demonstrations.
  • Ritually Hardened, Durable Chassis: Phrik, Sarrassian iron, and terentatek leather give the rifle impressive physical resilience, lightsaber resistance, and spiritual "bite" in the hands of its attuned wielder.

  • Force Nullification: While under Force Nullification the weapons dark side gifted edges are suppressed, leaving it an incredibly advanced but somewhat normal sniper rifle.
  • User‑ and Position‑Dependent: The recoil shunt, kyber lattice, and attunement are all keyed to Jekkath and deliberate firing positions. In cramped, chaotic, or close‑quarters scenarios, the rifle becomes cumbersome and loses most of its advantages.
  • Force‑Loud Under Stress: Basilisk, Shatter‑Core, Tracer‑Thread, heavily hexed shots, and repeated use of the rune lattice create sharp disturbances in the Force; heavy use can draw the attention of other sensitives and make concealing Jekkath's presence more difficult.
  • Subsonic Tradeoffs: Wraith‑Shot low‑power mode under‑accelerates slugs to subsonic velocities for maximum stealth, but this drastically reduces kinetic energy, effective range, and armor penetration. Against beskar or heavy war‑plate, subsonic shots are largely useful only for harassment, soft‑tissue targeting, or delivery of toxins/hexes rather than decisive kinetic kills.
  • Logistical and Spiritual Costs: Many specialist rounds (Silent‑Lance, Basilisk, Shatter‑Core, exotic poisons, and tracer‑thread) are rare, expensive, dangerous to transport, and spiritually taxing to use in quantity.
  • Limited General‑Purpose Value: The rifle's mass, complexity, and narrow specialization make it a poor primary weapon for ordinary soldiers. It is a bespoke execution instrument for one assassin rather than a scalable battlefield design.

They call the rifle Shûkkyant, the Killing Whisper, not because it is quiet, but because by the time anyone notices the sound, the important part is already over. Jekkath Raxus began as a brute with a gift for violence, but under the eye of Ibaris Varanin, a renowned Alchemist, Beast Master, Sorceress, and Deadshot, he learned the art of distance: How to read wind and breath, how to let a trigger break like a thought, how to turn patience into a weapon sharper than any blade, how to utilize the force to augment his skill and manipulate shors. As his skill and power grew, the Hangman of Rattatak came to an inevitable conclusion. It was not enough to borrow someone else's tools. A predator like him needed a rifle birthed from his own obsessions.

Shûkkyant is that culmination. Every inch of it is a record of his apprenticeship and his evolution. He didn't commission it from a foundry and sign his name; he designed it from the rail coils inward, supervised every alchemical bath, and personally cut and etched the terentatek hide that presses against his cheek when he lines up a shot. The bled kyber channel that snakes through the barrel is one he corrupted himself, bleeding it in meditation over prisoners who were never going to leave the cell alive. The runes along the receiver are his handwriting, not a scribe's. It is a weapon built by his hand, for his hand, to answer a question that haunted him through Ibaris's lessons: What does it mean to be a Hangman when the noose can reach across a battlefield?

Fired at full power, Shûkkyant does not simply kill. Its Basilisk and Shatter‑Core rounds hit with the kind of force that makes beskar ring like a bell and bone act like fluid. A center‑mass impact on unarmored prey does not so much punch through as erase the middle of the target, leaving ruined silhouettes pinned to walls or thrown back bonelessly, limbs at angles that make onlookers flinch. Against armored adepts and Mandalorians, a well‑placed shot turns sacred plate into shrapnel and teeth, twisting them into dead victims. When Jekkath chooses to prove a point, he uses the anti‑material loads on bulkheads or light vehicles; the obscene, asymmetrical holes they leave behind tell every witness that cover is a suggestion, not a protection.

When subtlety is required, Shûkkyant becomes something worse. Low‑power Wraith‑Shot mode and Silent‑Lance ammunition turn the rifle into a phantom. The muzzle gives off a short, unpleasant cough; somewhere downrange, a target drops mid‑sentence as if the universe simply miscounted the number of heartbeats they were owed. Onlookers hear, if anything, a faint hiss that could be wind, machinery, or imagination. Bodies fall from rooftops, balconies, pulpits, and command rostrums with no visible source, and rumors spread faster than the truth: some swear they felt cold fingers on their spine, others that they heard a rope creak just before the shot. Jekkath encourages those stories. He built Shûkkyant to be feared as much as understood.

The rifle's more esoteric loads are where the apprenticeship's lessons become cruelty. Hangman rounds take legs and arms instead of lives, leaving trails of screaming, half‑ruined survivors for troopers to collect. Poison rounds turn minor wounds into long, ugly endings full of black veins and whispered bargains. Curse rounds make the lucky ones die quickly; those who live with them bring nightmares and unexplained pains into every camp they join, a walking warning label that says "the Inquisitorius was here and might come back." Stalker‑Mark rounds are the purest expression of Jekkath's predatory patience: a single graze in a crowded plaza, and someone spends months feeling watched, jumping at shadows, never entirely sure whether he's tracking them today or saving them for when their fear has properly ripened.

Shûkkyant is not a forgiving weapon, and it is not meant to be. It expects the shooter to know the difference between a kill that sends a message and a kill that erases a problem, and to choose accordingly. Its power‑modulation, recoil shunt, kyber lattice, and occult architecture are all tuned to Jekkath's stance, breath, and rhythm; in other hands it is just a heavy, temperamental rail rifle with bad manners and worse side effects. In his hands, it is the final exam he set himself when he swore to become more than a thug with a lightsaber. Ibaris Varanin taught him how to be a Deadshot. Shûkkyant is his answer: A rifle that proves he listened, learned, and then twisted those lessons into something the galaxy will whisper about long after they forget the names of the people it killed.
