    • Complete Battle Armor System: The SFL-A1 is a full powered-assist armor set consisting of a sealed undersuit, helmet, cuirass, pauldrons, vambraces, gauntlets, greaves, boots, Roadwarden Harness, waterproof fieldcloak, and modular battlefield fittings.

DESCRIPTION

Sunfire Legionnaire Armor is the standard powered-assist heavy infantry armor of Centerra’s Sunfire Legion, issued to soldiers expected to stand in shield lines, guard gates, escort banners, hold breaches, march through hostile terrain, and survive the grinding pressure of open war. It is not a relic suit, not Force-user armor, not Sith alchemy, not Mandalorian plate, and not a personal super-suit. Its manufacture belongs to Centerra: crown arsenals, Legion foundries, quartermaster halls, and long rows of plate waiting beneath warm forge-light.

The suit is built as a complete armor set rather than a single shell. A sealed Hearthseal undersuit lies beneath the plates, soft enough to be worn through long watches and hard enough to help hold pressure when the armor is sealed. Over that rests the Sunfire Laminate: duraplast, plasteel, plastoid, armorplast, and durasteel support ribs shaped into a heavy infantry pattern. Where the SFL-A1 Legionnaire Armor is the shield-wall plate of the common soldier, the SFL-C1 is the armor of those who ride above the field, descend through smoke and ash, carry the Legion's banners into impossible places, and hold command beside the great beasts of Centerra.

The armor is not a relic suit, not Sith alchemy, not Mandalorian plate, and not a personal super-suit. It does not depend on Isotope-5, rare saber metals, personal shields, Force-imbued materials, stealth systems, or forbidden technologies. Its power comes from disciplined Centerran engineering: heavy plate, sealed joints, command systems, air support, medical stabilization, rider anchors, and the hard knowledge that a soldier on dragonback needs to survive more than arrows and blasters. They must survive wind, height, heat, panic, collision, teeth, claws, hard landings, broken straps, and the ugly moment when sky becomes ground.

The SFL-C1 begins with the Dragonaire Laminate, a heavier elite cousin of the standard Sunfire plate system. Duraplast, plasteel, plastoid, armorplast, and durasteel supports form a protective shell over the chest, back, helmet, shoulders, forearms, thighs, and shins. Beneath it lies the Aegis Deep Padding Layer, meant to soften falls, saddle impacts, blunt trauma, shrapnel, and the violent forces of mounted combat. The three-part articulated belly guard protects the abdomen while allowing the rider to lean low, twist, brace, and move with a mount rather than sitting stiffly above it.

The Dragonaire Saddle-Lock Harness connects the hips, thighs, waist, and backplate to approved dragon saddles and aerial harnesses, keeping the wearer secure during dives, sharp turns, climbs, and impacts. Quick-release fall tethers help prevent accidental falls without turning a thrown rider into a trapped body dragged behind a mount. Stirrup locks, rein-lock palms, shock-damped saddle contact zones, and split-seat plate geometry make the armor something that can actually be ridden in, not merely worn while sitting on a beast.

The Beastmaster Command Kit gives the Dragonaire ways to communicate with mount, handler, wingmate, and ground formation. Whistle tones, gauntlet signal lights, saddle-status feeds, mount biometric relays, and handler comms help coordinate movements when shouting would be lost to wind, wingbeats, thunder, and battle. The armor does not control the dragon. It gives a trained rider cleaner ways to command, read, reassure, and respond.

The helmet carries the proud silhouette of the Dragonaires: a high helm, reinforced brow, narrowed visor, raised gorget, and sun-dragon cresting. The occipital-release assembly allows the helm to open from the rear for emergency medical removal, while the locking collar ring seals the helmet into the gorget. The visor supports low-light sight, thermal scanning, infrared vision, rangefinding, magnification, landing-zone assistance, squad tags, saddle-lock warnings, and basic flight data. The armor helps the rider see the battlefield from above, but it does not fly the dragon or replace the rider's judgment.

The armor is sealed against harsh conditions: smoke, ash, acid rain, chemical residue, high-altitude cold, polluted air, and brief vacuum emergencies. The Ashveil Filter Collar, Hearthseal Environment Lock, Roadwarden Air Support System, Radiant Veil Lining, and Solara Hardcoat allow the Dragonaire to ride through burning fields, broken ships, poisoned clouds, winter passes, and storm-wet air. It is not a dedicated EVA suit or deep-diving shell, but it gives the wearer enough protection to survive sudden horrors that would leave lighter armor gasping.

The gauntlets and boots serve the rider as much as the warrior. The gauntlets grip reins, rifles, shields, ladders, ropes, saddle frames, wounded allies, and dragon tack. Repulsor-braced impact nodes and palm shock emitters provide short-burst force in desperate close quarters, but they are not primary weapons. The boots lock into stirrups, brace against saddle frames, grip wet stone, cling to metal surfaces, soften hard landings, and release quickly when remaining attached would become fatal.

The crimson weathercloak marks the Dragonaire at a glance. It is cut shorter and split for riding, weighted against high winds, mounted with tear-away clasps, and treated to shed rain, ash, salt spray, and mud. On parade, it gives the Dragonaires their regal silhouette. In war, it keeps weather and filth from the harness, seals, and saddle locks while avoiding the worst dangers of loose cloth near wings, claws, and rigging.

In battle, the SFL-C1 does not make its wearer invincible. It makes the wearer harder to kill, harder to dislodge, harder to break, and harder to isolate from mount and unit. Against Sith warbands, corpse-things, beasts, poison clouds, lightning splash, burning skies, and all the terror meant to scatter disciplined troops, the Sunfire Dragonaire Armor gives elite riders the tools to hold formation above the field. Its weight, complexity, and maintenance needs are severe, but in the hands of a trained Dragonaire, it becomes a flying banner of Centerra's war-host: crimson cloak snapping behind polished plate, sun crest bright at the chest, dragon and rider moving as one will through smoke, storm, and fire.

DescriptionThe SFL-A1 Sunfire Legionnaire Armor is the standard powered-assist heavy infantry armor of Centerra’s Sunfire Legion. It is issued to soldiers expected to hold shield lines, guard gates, escort banners, board ships, survive hostile terrain, and endure open warfare under punishing conditions.

The suit is built around practical military protection rather than rare materials or relic technology. Its plates combine duraplast, plasteel, durasteel, armorplast, plastoid, poly-ceramic layers, padding, sealed underlayers, and standard electronics into a complete battlefield armor system. The heaviest protection covers the helmet, chest, back, shoulders, forearms, thighs, shins, and boots, while segmented plates preserve enough movement for marching, kneeling, climbing, rifle use, shield work, mounted control, and recovery from a fall.

A sealed undersuit sits beneath the armor. It provides insulation, moisture control, flex zones, pressure-point padding, medical access seams, and partial self-sealing support against minor breaches. Radiation shielding, anti-corrosion treatments, filters, magnetic seals, gasket rings, air canisters, and life-support fittings allow the armor to function in smoke, ash, rain, mud, polluted air, brief decompression, short vacuum exposure, and short underwater emergencies.

The powered-assist harness uses ordinary rechargeable military power cells rather than rare exotic power sources. Its micro-servos help trained Legionnaires carry the weight of the armor during long marches, bracing, climbing, kneeling, and load-bearing movement. The system supports the helmet, visor, sensors, comms, seals, air regulation, hydration line, injector suite, gauntlets, and boot locks. It improves endurance, but it does not make the armor light.
