Description: One of the dominant purchasers of armor throughout the galaxy, aside from major military contractors, is security forces. While they do not need armor as powerful as that of the military, generally, they do need to be capable of withstanding a few shots of blaster fire from criminals and other threats. Additionally, protection from vibroblades is beneficial to their well-being. Ignus Industries has taken this into account and designed a moderately high end set of light armor, the SF Mk. 1, that is made from common materials but capable of achieving the desired effect. The cost increase is due to the armorweave bodysuit that is worn beneath the duraplas and transparisteel plating. While armorweave is not an uncommon material, it is expensive to produce. The benefits of it are worth it, however, as the armorweave protects the joins that cannot be covered by the plating, and provides light resistant to even lightsaber attacks. It is not impervious to anything, but will prolong the wearers life expectancy when they are being engaged. Even the duraplas and transparisteel are not impervious to a concerted effort to kill the wearer. This is not absolute armor, but light armor meant to improve survivability when accosted, and buy the necessary time for reinforcements to arrive.

The armor is equipped with a notched belt that can hold weapons holsters, grenades, binders, and or pouches which can be purchased separately. This armor does not come equipped with a rebreather or other respiration equipment.

Disclaimer: This does not guarantee survival in a war zone. This is light armor for temporary and light duty use by security forces. Use at your own risk. Does not guarantee safety concerted efforts to kill the wearer and is not a safety measure against explosives. Use at your own risk. Ignus Industries is not liable for injuries sustained or death of individuals while wearing this product.
