Settling Differences

[Sandis Veeran]

Naboo​

Sandis' entered the abandoned palace hangar on Naboo, where she and Zalen had agreed to meet. She stepped through the empty hangar and headed to the door at the end. She hit the control panel, and the door opened.

 

[Zalen Zennoch Ziad]

Zalen jumped down to face the Mandolorian female from a suspended walkway on a higher level. He had agreed to satisfy her urge to fight him and so he had prepared a suprise party for her. Using his beast trick he had subdued some Shyracks that descended down to surround Zalen. "Get her!" The Shyrack flew at her with the intent to prey upon her.

 

[Sandis Veeran]

Sandis stood her ground, not even igniting her lightsaber. She drew her pistol from her hip-holster and, with deadly accuracy, blasted the Shyrack out of the air.
"That was your plan?"

 

[Zalen Zennoch Ziad]

The remaining shyracks attacked in a swarm while Zalen watched. Zalen whistled and a Hssiss became visable; he held the dark side dragon at bay for the time being. Zalen had been working on his Beast Trick technique at a master level and had since improved even further in preperation for his fight with the Sith emperor. "This is just the begining. This fight has no significance to my plan, I have much bigger targets I am going to go after. You are simply a test of my power, nothing more nothing less." Zalen stood there and watched the swarm of shyracks attack in sharp formations which he had taught them; always trying to flank and surround the enemy, trained to instinctively go after vital areas.

Sandis smirked under her helmet. "That's more like it." She summoned her lightsaber to her hand and began to shoot the bat-like creatures. One by one, the frenzying swarm fell as Sandis backed up. "There aren't a whole lot of animals inside, so your little Beast Trick thing is pretty much useless once this is over." She eliminated the last Shyrack with a mild swing of her lightsaber, then turned to the Hssiss.

 

[Zalen Zennoch Ziad]

Zalen chuckled at her comment, did she think this was all he had? Zalen held up his hand and used the force to crumble the suspended pathway above them causing rubble to fall on to the Mandolorian's position while the Hssiss remained by his side. As the rubble fell he ignited his Makashi style red lightsaber and prepared for a counter should she get out of the trap. Using a single ligthsaber was quite easy for Zalen although he was a student of Niman and Jar'Kai; with that being said, his lightsaber dueling was a mixture of 4 forms and he bred it exclusively for combat. Zalen thought to himself, Lets see what she's got.

The ceiling cracked above her. Sandis leaped down from the walkway and grappled to the underside of another walkway, this one closer to Zalen. Climbing back up, she ignited her lightsaber and prepared herself.

 

[Zalen Zennoch Ziad]

"Well done, very athletic and competent. The force strengthens your body and your mind at a very impressiver rate for a Padawan, but alas it is no match for the dark side." Zalen quickly lunged forward in a Makashi style jab and parry combo. With an emphasis on footwork he moved to the side a bit to ensure he had a more advantageous angle and then he began to unleashe a composed fury of fast two handed Lightsaber strikes.

Sandis blocked and dodged her oncoming foe, utilizing both her Mandalorian and Jedi training. When she had a chance, she dropped and armed a thermal detonator from her belt-pouch, then rolled away, hoping to gain some distance.

 

[Zalen Zennoch Ziad]

Zalen jumped on to a nearby upper walkway using the force thus avoiding the blast. When he landed on his feet he reignited his lightsaber and used his telekentic powers to use the Saber Throw technique with a quality level of accuracy. The lightsaber twirled as it was proppelled downward through the air toward his opponent. He laughed maniacally at the efforts of his opponent showing no sadness that his Hssiss had just died in a violent explosion. "Tricks like that will not save you from me. I am a prodigy of the dark side!"

Sandis drew her blaster with her left hand, leaving her saber in her right. As the red saber flew through the air, Sandis took her time, waiting for the perfect shot. She pulled the trigger, and the blaster disabled the Sith's lightsaber. It landed on the other side of the broken walkway.

 

[Zalen Zennoch Ziad]

Zalen was impressed with the mandalorian's accuracy, but the battle was far from over. Zalen knew that with his Shoto, he would be more effective in face-to-face close range than he would with a normal lightsaber. Zalen jumped back up to the primary platform where the fight was taking place. He used force speed to engage the mandolorian, he used his right shoulder angle to get within optimum range with his shoto. He began to attack with a quick barage of highly precised Makashi style flurry strikes followed up by a Shii-Cho disarming strike.

Sandis responded defensively in Shien, although she didn't count on him switching forms on her; her lightsaber was knocked out of her hand, and landed back along the platform. In response, she pushed Zalen with the Force, then ran forward, planning to headbutted him with her helmet on, summoning her lightsaber again.
