OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
GENERAL INFORMATION
  • Media Name: Service Announcement: Hirou Day
  • Format: Pamphlet
  • Distribution: Inter-Planetary (Widespread throughout Sith Empire space)
  • Length: Short
  • Description: A service announcement that has spread through the Sith Empire day announcing a new holiday in the honor of one of its national heroes: [member="Tabigarashu Madara"] (they prefer Hirou, thank you very much). On the eve of Jaminere's alignment with the Sith Empire, the nation will now annually celebrate the brave acts that ensured its Empire, his uncle and the Lord Inquisitor of the Saaraishash to survive a vile assassination attempt.
SOCIAL INFORMATION
  • Author: Darth Saarai
  • Publisher: The Saaraishash, sub-group of the Sith Empire.
  • Reception: In a nation that is used to the state-ordained adoration and worship of its Lords of the Sith the rise of Tabigarashu Madara has been seen as something of an unique chronicle. Unassuming, positively smol and humble the Nezumi is widely-seen as a testament to the Empire's dedication to a meritocracy and allowing only those worthy to rise up through the ranks, no matter birth, force sensitivity or riches. The announcement of a national holiday for the Nezumi was met with wide-acceptance from all strata of the nation. One more sign that even the smallest can rise up and stand amidst the light of the Empire.
CONTENT INFORMATION
As a service announcement the pamphlet is positively short and small.

It briefly touches on the tenants the Sith Empire stands on (merit, law, order) and then segues quickly towards shining a spotlight to one that has displayed all of these traits in quantity. Furthermore it elaborates on how Tabigarashu Madara saved the Dark Lord of the Sith and the Lord Inquisitor from an assassination attempt on Jaminere.

That and more, the pamphlet stipulates, has earned Hirou (they prefer it, thank you very much) the right to stand among the largest of the Empire. The least they could do was establish a holiday that will be held annually on the day of Jaminere's entrance into the protectorate of the Sith Empire.

Festivities include nationwide banquets and state-sponsored games of sport.

It ends with a newly-penned haiku by the Lord Inquisitor himself and goes as followed:

The Empire rises.
On the shoulders of the great.
Hirou stands with them.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
After the events of Jaminere Lord Saarai realized that he would have to find a suitable way to give his thanks to his friend and ally, Hirou, because without them he would certainly have died back on those streets. They had already named the capital of Mirial after them, lavished them with titles and praise, so what was a Thirriken to do?

Many thoughts and considerations later Tai realized the only suitable reward for saving the lives of himself, [member="Darth Carnifex"] and all the others on that parade.

A national holiday.

Something that would stand the test of time and would be celebrated by all those that call the Empire their home. Not only would that be the perfect way to give his regards to someone he considers one of his closest friends, but it would also serve as a reminder to the people at large that all can reach the heights of the Empire.

All they need is a smidgen of the Nezumi's brave heart and enduring soul.

So it was decided... and so it was written.

Hirou Day was created.
