Prepare for your... examination.
Lab gave those heckling at page a deadly and slightly insane like stare, letting them know that such behavior would not go unpunished if continued, followed by an internal sigh. It was that type of arrogant behavior and not xenophobia or just general up tightness of ones self that made Lab feel that the current war was not going to end with an imperial victory. The Jedi, no matter how different their codes where to one another all were able to combine efforts a face a common threat, not hesitating to provide support for each other, but the Imperials, especially the Sith Empire, just never seemed to really want help, viewing each other as inferior, preferring to deal with problems themselves... often enough not completing them to satisfactory levels.

'humans', she turned her head back to [member="Dr. Aes'ona Terrani"] as she handed out the custom ear pieces, giving it a look around before going to work attaching it to, what people saw as odd ears, at first feeling a bit but over all not feeling to uncomfortable. Next, accepting the new data pad, returning her own back to its pocket on the lab coat, "Well, I could always have a back up on stand by, but for now this will do, though I am sure I will be needing multiple in the near future". Lad went to work, flicking though the data pad, her eye scanner examining the latest and more important information that was circulating around as Terrani gave direction to [member="Paige Blossom"] on the vending machine, making the Twi'lek rather glad she had eaten before arrival.

She became a little lost in the hand held computer, almost not noticing Terrani addressing her personally again, "Hu? oh, yes Lab is my nickname you can call me that if you want, but that is more for use on field operations, while on a proper medical base call me Dr Mordulla, just to avoid confusion, don't want assistance getting me mixed up with on of the stations rooms". As the two conversed an odd gentleman approached, a clear pang of nervousness through his entire body, spouting some gibberish at the two, earning but a very confused and quizzical glace from the rutian Twi'lek.

[member="Zip"]

"Oh thanks." Taking the papers, datapad and headset, opting not to put it on yet seeing as it would cramp whatever little style she had.

Eagerly, she shuffled to the vending machine fidgeting with the credit chip, twirling it in her hands and when she eventually reached it she was not disappointed at the selection of food and drinks on display. Whompa whompers, Coruscant Cola, MilkyNeighs, even some plain old water. Paige inserted the chip, pressing a few buttons and then retrieving her snacks, receiving some "change" which was just another credit chip, and with her not being acquainted with the local currency she was unable to actually decipher what it meant.

Paige opened the datapad and began to scan through it, having never used one of them before. Her eyes continually fluttered as she began chomping on the whomper bar, looking back up she saw the new arrival [member="Zip"], blushing at the attractive young man, but moreso she was pleased that there was somebody who was around her age, basing her judgement on appearance alone.

As she approached she moved slower, awaiting [member="Dr. Aes'ona Terrani"] and [member="Labkahip Mordulla"] to make their introductions.

Nodding, all that Aes'ona had time to add before [member="Zip"]'s interruption was, "Noted. Good to know, Doctor."

The doctor turned towards the young man as he spoke, slightly raising one eyebrow unconsciously as she began trying to figure out what he had just said. Do you know where...Doctor Terrani? The first mispronunciation of her name threw her through a loop, but then she understood who he meant by the last name alone.

Her face changed from confusion to welcoming, and she offered to shake. "That's be me, young man," she introduced. "Are you one of my approvals? You caught us just in time."

Fast talking....it was always the talking that confused people. Zip cursed himself when he realized that he was talking fast. Zip's eyes were focused on [member="Dr. Aes'ona Terrani"] as she asked if Zip was her new approval. Zip had a confused look on his face, but only for a second. His confusion turned to excitement then his mind started racing.

"YesMa'amSorryIWasLate,YouWouldn'tBelieveHowManyPeoplePassThrough.IGotCaughtUpCountingThem." Zip stopped dead in his sentence when he realized he was talking fast.

"Uh sorry, excited...." The teen mumbled softly before continuing. "What I meant to say was: yes ma'am I'm one of your approvals. Zerrik Zarth. Everyone just calls me Zip, for short I guess..."

Zip's eyes glanced to Doctor Terrani's companions, Zip assumed they were other approvals. [member="Labkahip Mordulla"] caught his wandering gaze and the teen's blue eyes lit up.

"Woah!!!!! What are you?" Zip asked in a childlike manor. His head slowly went into a tilt. It wasn't that he was xenophobic, he was just curious. He had never seen anyone who looked like that.

Zip caught the glance of [member="Paige Blossom"] out of the corner of his eye. He wondered who she was as well, she and the blue lady had been quiet, simply observing the boy.

Lab gave a slightly amused smirk at the young mans rambling, newbies where always fun to mess around with, "Well, you can talk fast I'll give you that, though it's always good to have more people on broad, though I hope your skills are a bit more... refined then your speech pattern". It was more a jest then actual concern, no doubt if the man was here he had some sort of medical skill, even if it was just as an assistant or simple medic, and his personality would also make things a little more interesting, well more than your average doctor anyways.

His next and quite frankly odd, rude and embarrassing comment caused Lab to take a slight step back, her face reverting to that of confusion. "Well.... I am a Rutian Twi'lek from the Planet of Ryloth... have you never met a Twi'lek before? From my knowledge, my species if quite popular for certain 'reasons', I am surprised that you do not know that". Such a person must have either lead a rather sheltered life from the rest of the galaxy, or just be dumb, hopefully it was not the latter.

Paige slowly approached [member="Zip"] with her hands completely full of various things, a stack of paper, datapad, wate and the bar that she had purchased. As she approached him she began to speak, her pitch going a bit higher than usual and maintaining eye contact with him.

"Uh hi! I'm Paige Blossom, you can call me Plo-.. Paige. Sorry I get nervous around new people."

She precariously placed the water bottle on the stack of paper, trying to balance it as she motioned a handshake. Before she even got close, the bottle thudded on towards the ground. She grunted and went to pick it up, afterwards the protein bar. Another grunt. As she went to pick that up some of the papers flew off and onto the ground at the groups's feet. Deciding to quit while she was ahead, she simply placed the datapad on the ground acting as a paperweight while collecting the other lose sheets, leaving the bar and water bottle till the end.

"I am so sorry, I am just extremely clumsy."

[SIZE=9pt]Then she handed [member="Zip"] everything everyone else already had: the pin, the datapad, the earpiece, the durafile. "Nice to meet you, Zip," she said, bringing her hand back so she could hold her own things to her chest with both. "I don't think we have time for a comprehensive tour right now, but we'll go on one later." Aes'ona's datapad made a quick blip, so she peeled it back from her chest slightly to peek at the screen. It must have been bad news, as a troubled frown grew to [/SIZE]contort[SIZE=9pt] her face.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]"Our patients have [/SIZE]developed[SIZE=9pt] a new symptom," she half-read, half-reported. "We've gotta get up to the [/SIZE]Dormitories[SIZE=9pt]."[/SIZE]

Aes'ona had given the brief during their travel time from the Windsor-class station's upper third tower to SDP's floor in the main tower.

“At about 1100 Galactic Standard Time today, a few of our sister stations in other sectors received the first shipments of casualties from our invasion of Hex L-49. Normally, we rarely see military patients, but because their hospitals are working at full-capacity or near it, overflow is bound to end up on our shoulders as the conflict progresses. However, the four of us are not going to worry about that--I’ve assigned the rest of the staff to. Just for your information, most of the people arriving right now are sick with the new Dosuun strain of flu. Expect the station to get even more crowded than it is over the next rotational period.

“Our case comes from Joi Chinzano, doctor on FIV Sunder. The Sunder is a patrol ship scanning the boarder of Order planetary holdings in P-30. She sent over two of her sickest crewmen and women, Epp Ordon and Mia Daklan, when she realized nothing she was doing was helping. Their conditions are currently stable--we've got them in induced comas and we have them in quarantine as to not panic the others.

“They were exhibiting mild yellow-tongue, loss of their taste sensation, and clammy skin. Adding stiff neck to the list; they started developing it while we were gone.

“Our goal is to treat them, and try to pinpoint a causal factor to report back to Doctor Chinzano. Now, obviously, we’re not on her ship and can’t be in her medbay, but we’re looking at the theoretically possible.”

She finished just as they arrived at Sanctity Physic Dormitories' waiting room, and she lead them through to the the main treatment bullpen. They passed through that room, too. Down a white hallway and into another through a heavy sealing door, they came to a stop. She turned towards [member="Labkahip Mordulla"], Zip, and [member="Paige Blossom"]. "Doctor Mordulla?" she asked. "Would you mind taking Zip over to Room A? I'll take Paige. We can communicate over our earpieces."

Aes'ona regarded Lab as a close colleague in terms of achievements, but she did not know the Twi'lek well enough to suppose if she preferred her own working space of not. After all, Doctor Terrani had been the one to take on the interns. So, she offered, "...Or I can take both with me, if you'd rather."

Prepare for your... examination.
Lab gave a nod [member="Dr. Aes'ona Terrani"] prepared for the sudden change in atmosphere with a proper job now on the line, quickly getting into professional mode the the group started to make their way towards the dormitories, keeping a ear out for Terranis explanation on their current predicament while scanning through her data pad again. "Yellow tongue mainly results in build up of bacteria in papillae, but from what you have stated with the addition of clammy skin and constant sweating and other symptoms it seems the viral infection has spread quite far already".

She was not the most experienced with viral infection, more physical aliments from lacerations, internal bleeding, parasites and other more physically contracted diseases, but she still could give reasonable advice in this situation and provided a watchful eye to Zip who she was pared up with, the only other doctor in their current group. "No it is fine, giving you less burden then you alerady had, also like having an assistant around or a learning student, I'll be happy to take him with me, are you alright with that Zip, will give you a better chance to learn about my race as well".

[member="Paige Blossom"] l [member="Zip"]

Paige stood with her arms crossed, mentally gathering the details regarding the disease.

"I won't be of much use to you it seems" laughing it off and turning to [member="Dr. Aes'ona Terrani"]. "The extent of my knowledge regarding viral infections includes taking an anti-biotic for a set amount of time if it doesn't clear up. Clearly if they're in a coma, anti-biotics are out of the question."

Her eyes switch position to watch the twi'leks mouth movements and then back to Terrani. "And I'm assuming my unorthodox way of curing people will be out of the question given the distance of said patients.." Paige moved her hand to the back of her neck and scratched it. "Guess I'm on coffee duty." half smirking.
