Early Life
Seren Gwyn was born under the brief flare of a dying star — an omen the seers of her world called "the light that burns once, but forever marks the dark."
From her earliest years, she displayed an uncanny sensitivity to the Force, seeing not visions of the future but of the in-between — flashes of memory and echo, whispers of places where the veil thinned.
She joined the Jedi at a young age, drawn by a hunger to understand the balance she sensed all around her. But the Order's restraint chafed at her. Her curiosity became her undoing when she delved into forbidden archives and began translating ancient Sith runes sealed for centuries.
When confronted, she did not deny her transgressions. "Knowledge," she told her masters, "is not light nor dark — it simply is."
They cast her out before she could finish her work.
Descent into Darkness
Exiled and disillusioned, Seren turned to the very fragments she had once been forbidden to study. Alone in the ruins of a forgotten temple, she uncovered rituals of sorcery — not the crude domination of the Dark Lords, but the ancient art of bending the Force through will and blood.
She learned to draw upon the hidden currents of life and death, to shape illusions that whispered truth, and to bind her essence to the void between both realms.
Over years of isolation, her beauty sharpened into something unearthly. Her eyes glowed with molten amber, and her aura carried a chill that unsettled even the boldest of Sith.
When she performed a ritual to sever her mortal tether and reforge it in shadow, she emerged reborn. Seren Gwyn was gone.
In her place rose Darth Eryndis — The Star Beyond Death.
Personality
Cunning and patient, Eryndis is a master manipulator who understands that true power lies not in brute strength but in knowledge and the will to wield it.
She thrives on secrecy, weaving lies and half-truths to ensnare others in her designs. Her ambition is quiet but insatiable, and her sorcery is fueled by an obsession with unraveling the deepest mysteries of the Force.
Eryndis views emotion as a tool, identity as an illusion, and loyalty as something to be bought, not earned.
Those who serve her often believe they do so by choice — until they realize her influence has already shaped their every decision.
Legacy and Disappearance
Unlike other Sith who sought to rule through conquest, Eryndis pursued transcendence. She taught that death was merely transformation — a metamorphosis through which one could merge with the Dark Side itself.
Her followers, known as the Veiled Star Covenant, spread her teachings in secret, blending Sith philosophy with arcane mysticism. They believed that through ritual sacrifice and perfect understanding, they could become living conduits of the Force.
When Eryndis vanished, her disciples did not mourn — they celebrated. To them, she had succeeded where all others failed.
Across the galaxy, carved into temple walls and the bones of starships, her symbol — a white star surrounded by a black flame — began to appear, glowing faintly in places of great suffering or loss.
Some say her consciousness endures within those markings, whispering to those who seek forbidden knowledge.
Others believe she became something else entirely — not dead, not alive, but woven into the very shadow of the Force, watching and waiting for the next curious soul to call her name.
Even now, under the light of distant dying stars, the faintest echo can sometimes be heard in the silence:
"Knowledge is eternity… and eternity is mine."
