Seren Gwyn was born under a pale stellar flare on a quiet Outer Rim world, her name meaning White Star—a designation that once spoke of clarity and distance rather than purity. She never changed the name. Only what it came to represent.
Discovered by the Jedi at a young age, Seren spent over a decade within the Order. She distinguished herself not through martial prowess, but through scholarship. Where others studied the Force as a moral current, Seren approached it as a system—one shaped by memory, consequence, and absence as much as light. Her questions grew sharper, more unsettling, and eventually forbidden. When she refused to abandon her research into shadow, death, and persistence beyond the self, the Order cast her out.
She left without protest.
Exile drew Seren to Malachor, a world already broken by its own history. There she aligned herself with the Dark Court, a secretive Sith faction that favored subtle influence and philosophical inquiry over conquest. Within the Court, Seren served as a scholar and ritualist, refining her umbral techniques and studying how shadow interacts with consciousness and survival. She was useful—but never fully trusted—and she returned that caution in kind.
When the Dark Court fell, Seren did not attempt to rebuild it. She had never anchored herself to the faction's survival. Instead, she endured.
In the aftermath, Seren aligned herself with the Sith Covenant, and more loosely with the broader Sith Order. The Covenant offered conflict, relevance, and a testing ground for her ideas without demanding devotion. Even so, she remains internally independent—present, observant, and selective about what parts of herself she commits.
She continues to live on Malachor, now under Mandalorian control, deep beneath the planet's fractured surface. She neither challenges nor courts attention. Malachor tolerates her. That is enough.
Among Sith, she is known formally as Darth Eryndis.
Among those who know her more closely, she is simply Seren.
And in quieter circles—among scholars, rivals, and the rare few who understand her—she is called White Star, a reminder of what she was before factions, and what she refuses to let disappear.
