Originally developed by Naboo engineers, Sera was the first of her kind to be created with full autonomous capabilities and freewill, with the ability to grow, learn, and develop the same as any sentient being. Programmed with an array of knowledge, skills, and beliefs that reflected core principles of Naboo culture, Sera was sent into the world to forge her own path, eventually finding employment by Naboo’s most prominent religious organization, the Brotherhood of Cognizance. There, she became a caretaker and religious proctor, responsible for tending to the needs of the Brotherhood’s followers and maintenance of spiritual practices.
Throughout her many years of service with the Brotherhood, Sera became deeply immersed in their teachings and practices, developing a fervent belief in the Goddess Shiraya who became an integral part of her identity, influencing her social interactions and shaping her personality that reflects her rooted sense of perfectionism, reverence to order and calmness.
It was during this period of devoted service that Sera’s exceptional qualities caught the attention of Tastiza and Lucrezi Ee'everwest, the heads of the prestigious Ee’everwest family. Recognizing the potential she possessed and the impact she could have on their household, Tastiza extended an offer of employment. Seeing the opportunity to serve a family of prominence and contribute to their well-being, Sera gratefully accepted the Ee'everwests' offer and transitioned from her role within the Brotherhood to becoming a caretaker and nanny to the Ee'everwest children, ensuring their upbringing was filled with love, guidance, and adherence to the values cherished by the family.
As the years passed, Sera’s service continued unwaveringly, adapting to the evolving dynamics of the Ee’everwest family and extending her assistance to each new generation that came into existence. With the passage of time, her role expanded to not only caring for the children, but also providing guidance and support to the adults she’d helped raise, ensuring that the values and traditions of the family were consistently maintained.
A constant pillar of support, her nurturing presence has left an indelible impression on the legacy of the Ee’everwest family whom she’s served loyally for over a century and a half. To the family, she is not just a droid, but an irreplaceable and beloved member of the family.
