SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
  • Nowhere to Run, Nowhere to Hide: The Sentinel is a unique asset for force-sensitive members of the High Tribunal, and as such its technical range of operation is only limited by the strength and focus of the user. Of course, as a droid it can technically function beyond the user's own telepathic range, but will be unable to receive new orders until returning to the user. Likewise, the use of Gand brains in its HDP gives it a natural edge when it comes to tracking prey.
  • All-Seeing Eye: The Sentinel's impressive sensor packages allow it to perceive a great deal of information, which it can in turn relay back to its primary user.
  • Exsanguinator: The Sentinel possesses a bevy of dangerous vibroweapons, making it incredibly lethal in close quarters.
Weaknesses:
  • Bad Motivator: The Sentinel can only take orders from a force-sensitive user, and only one approved by the High Tribunal, severely limiting its availability. Of course, because of the delicate processes needed to make a Sentinel, this is likely for the better.
  • Technically Subdued: While the Sentinel is admittedly less overtly lethal than the Executioner, it still is remarkably poor at administering non-lethal force.
  • Drop that Blaster!: The Sentinel lacks any sort of ranged weaponry, and is forced to get up close and personal with its prey. While it is durable enough to be able to do so, this is still less than ideal tactically.
DESCRIPTION

During the integration of Gand into the Sith Empire, Amseth Typho, head of Project Clemency, gathered several Gand Findsmen chieftains together and presented them the schematics of the Sentinel Cyborg. As per Dr. Nicabre's design, key portions of a Gand Findsman's brain could be used to create a unique Hybrid Droid Processor attuned to seeking out and killing specific targets. Partially due to fear of what would happen should they refuse, the excited Cheftains gladly accepted, submitting rival Findsmen clans to Project Clemency for conversion.

The Sentinel is limited in function, and can only receive orders through the force. However, with the HDP, it has a considerable deal of agency in terms of executing those orders as it sees fit. Sentinels can patrol target areas, locate and incapacitate/kill target individuals, and scout target locations. While most sentinels operate on their own, they can be deployed in groups of three if necessary. An operator can usually have up to 12 sentinels on them at any time.

The Last Son
[member="Amseth Typho"], Since this droid requires usage through the force, would it suddenly become "Dumb" or forget its programming when in a Force Nullification field? Secondly, if there was an opposing force user who was more powerful than the user in mental manipulation or used Mecha-deru to take control of this device, would they be able to do so? If not, then how would that situation be avoided?

The Last Son
[member="Amseth Typho"], lol,

Either/Both depending on what it is.

If its going to be a clearly defined weakness, then go ahead and add it into the submission. If you are just explaining your thoughts, then outside is fine.

The way I see it, they're still droids, the force only applies as a means of input. So if they were cut off from the force via nullification technology, they'd still be fully capable of carrying out their assigned orders, they'd only lose the ability to receive new orders. As for overrides, my understanding is that there are internal protocols for category 4 droids to prevent just anyone from giving them orders, so it would be dependent on whether or not it overrides those protocols. I generally believe that basic telepathy wouldn't be able to do that since it would be ineffective as a voice command, but Mecha-deru would since it's directly affecting the droid's programming.
