Sentientology Project: Pzob

(Hey if you could just bare with me until my account name change goes through that would be great. I only say this because mentioning me may be difficult, and I might not receive the notifications at times, but I will routinely check :) )

Ashlyn was stationed on Pzob for quite some time with a small group of other scientist and researchers. This was a mission in the field of Sentientology. Pzob was a rather backwater world, but what drew these scholars here? The answer being Gamorreans. Dr. Roberts objectives were many: to see if there were any plant life, that could produce medicinal herbs, and the main objective being to observe the Gamorreans in a more primitive culture.

The scientist set up a small base within the abandoned imperial secret military base. Ashlyn found herself walking towards the village that they had gained neutrality with. She was clad in her dark blue, skin tight, body suit. A holster, containing a blaster pistol, attached to her thigh. She had her datapad with her. She was filming the surrounding forest as she walked. Capturing images that would be traced back to the lab. As she walked her long, blond ponytail bounced behind her.

She turned the datapad on herself as she discovered a feathered lizard making itself known to her, begging for food. She began to explain the very nature behind this small animal. Explaining that this was its nature.

"And this small creature is a feathered lizard. They are harmless, but sneaky critters. They emerge from the forest in the presence of sentients. They beg for food, and have been known to steal food causing some people to become unhappy campers." She said professionally, as her blue eyes stood out in the camera.

Arvis had his hood up. He had learned from his mistakes in the past. Specifically the mistakes he had made on Mon Calamari when the Emperor was captured by the Republic. He wore his hood over a light armour. It was a thin durasteel plate over his torso, arms and legs. It was thick enough to take a few blaster bolts to the chest undoubtedly.

He watched the feathered lizard walk up to the scientist. Now was his chance, she was distracted. He made sure his hood was up for good measure. Many people became alarmed when the realized he was a Sith Pureblood. "Greetings, Doctor." He said as he got up form his crouch and stood a few meters away from her, with his hands hanging at his sides, opened handed. At least, he thought she was a doctor, it's not like an assistant would wander away from their encampment.

@Dr. Ashlyn Roberts

She placed a small pellet on the ground before the lizard, and it quickly snapped its neck at its food, and took off into the forest. She raised an eyebrow, as she figured that would happen. As she slowly stood up she had her eyes set on her datapad. She was changing the settings so that everything was in place when she approached the village of Gamorreans. She hadn't even noticed that the forest around her gotten a little quieter.

She heard words that came from behind her. She quickly whipped around, her ponytail quickly following. There was a man obviously fully covered, she hadn't recognized him. He wasn't one of her colleagues on this trip so who was he exactly? When she turned around the first thing someone would see was her ocean blue eyes. They stood out extremely.

"Uhm, greetings. I'm sorry, but do I know you?" She asked sternly, she continued to look on at the man just some meters away from her.

He shook his head in response. He noted the blaster on her waist, though he made no move to utilize his new lightsaber. "You do not know me. But my name is Arvis Syphex, and I have a request to make of you." He spoke the rehearsed lines well in his own opinion. His request was one that he hoped that she could do for him. Though he would have to make sure she didn't speak of it to her other colleagues. It would have to be done quietly, who knows if he could trust them. Let alone her.

@Dr. Ashlyn Roberts

She squinted her eyes when he shook his head. This definitely wasn't on her schedule for today. His voice was mature, mysterious. She couldn't tell if he was hostile or an potential ally of hers. She wished she could see his face. She started to get a slight headache, but that was beside the point; she shrugged it off, not paying much attention to it,

"You require my assistance? With what exactly? Are you an inhabitant of this planet?" Knowing that there was constant fighting amongst the many clans of Gamorreans, and if he had been an inhabitant maybe he was hurt. That could probably be why he sought her out. From her visual inspection of him he didn't seem to be suffering from any wounds.

@[member="Arvis Syphex"]

He listened and watched her for a few moments before he responded. "I am not an inhabitant of this planet. I want to know if you can...strengthen me, physically." He said. It took him a few moments to choose the last few words, he was still unsure if those were the right words. He wasn't completely used to asking people for things yet.

He threw back his hood to reveal the black tattoos upon his crimson coloured skin. The corrupted and yellow eyes that accompanied almost every single Sith. His almost trademarked grin was tugging at the corner of his lips. "I am not hear to harm you." He said, and he awaited her response.

@Dr. Ashlyn Roberts

A pure blood sith, she hadn't the pleasure of meeting one in person. She knew only a little about their culture, and society. He was intriguing. When she heard his question, it took a little time for her to grasps it. It wasn't unheard of for scientist to engage in such experiments, and it wasn't something beneath her abilities. Never had she done something like that upon request. She squinted her eyes.

"You want me to...genetically enhance you?" She had experience with working with others helping them develop abilities, to learn to control them, enhancing them in a more natural way. She never had to resort to experimenting on the patient at all. Her headache started to increase slightly but she still put it off. She slowly let her guard down, when he claimed not to be here to harm her,

"But why? Why is it you wish to be "strengthened" " she asked, following up her previous question and his answer,

@[member="Arvis Syphex"]

He looked at her. He watched her and made sure she wasn't reaching for her blaster or a communications device. He couldn't let his presence be known here. "I am not equipped to survive upon the battlefield." He admitted. She was probably the only person who he would ever admit to being inadequate too. His persona of an elite warrior who was undefeated, almost cracked. Almost.

Her responses weren't doing her much justice it seemed. "I can find another Doctor to help me, Doctor..?" He let the phrase trail off in a way that hinted he was asking her a question. If they didn't need to learn each other's names, that would keep his identity hidden, but it wasn't like the Republic would be looking for a Sith Apprentice.

@Dr. Ashlyn Roberts

She pushed a strand of her hair back to its place. She figured this could help her in her research. She bit her lip for a bit, and took a couple of steps forward. His reason was that he wasn't suitable for the battlefield, a suitable reason she would assume, All she wanted was for him to know she want going to help him develop his prowess by just shoving needles filled with some special serum into his body. That wasn't the right way. She was going to go deeper into it; both of them would benefit.

"Call me Dr. Roberts. I suppose I can help you. I've been meaning to try a couple of experiments. I just want you to know that this will be a process. This isn't going to happen overnight. Now, your name?" She asked sternly.

She hoped he wasn't the type who wanted to keep some of his information secret. Even if he didn't tell her, she was sure that she could pry his mind for it. She didn't quite have control over this ability, and it did cause her to feel weak after its use, but if it needed to be done, then so be it.

@[member="Arvis Syphex"]

Good. She was the one he needed. "My name is Arvis Syphex, Doctor Roberts." There was no point in not giving his name. She would never be able to find him again, unless he wanted her to find him. "I would appreciate it if these experiments were done, quietly. Your colleagues will not need to know of my presence." He said in response to her own 'hard' orders.

He stepped out of her way so that she may return to the encampment. "I will arrive in your camp when your colleagues are asleep. Make sure you are alone." He threw his hood back up over his head and turned away back into the forest. If she did try to trick him, bad things would happen, to the both of them.

@Dr. Ashlyn Roberts

She nodded as she received his name. Arvis huh? She made a mental note. She would need to remember it, especially later when she begins to fill out her notes, and results from the experiments. Figuring she might forget she decided to just start the file on her datapad at that moment. While she typed, she looked up at him with her blue eyes. She looked at him for a moment. Why did this need to stay a secret? If all went well. This would prove very valuable to the scientific community.

"Do you not understand the caliber of this? Seeing as how your the patient, I will respect yours is he's, but I will try and persuade you while this is going on. I hope you'll reconsider, because this could be a big breakthrough." She said looking back down at her datapad screen. She had long forgotten her task of traveling to the Gamorreans village. She could get that information anytime.

She walked past him, her ponytail flipping behind her. She nodded at his statement before making her way back.

EVENING, SUN WENT DOWN A WHILE AGO:

The first thing she did when she got back was plop down at her desk in the lab. She laid her head down for a second, before being swarmed by one of her colleagues. Of course she hadn't managed to finish the assignment for today, which pushed them back, but all was fine. They had more than enough time to get all they needed. With that being understood, she exited the conversation and placed her glasses on her face. She began to go over everything she knew about pure bloods; unique creatures they were.

This went on later into the night. The lights shinning down on her, casting a glare over her paper, and hair. Everyone else had seemed to retire. She was likely the only one up.

@[member="Arvis Syphex"]

It was time. His hood was up and he waited until what appeared to be the last person retired for the night. Walking out from the cover of darkness that had been the trees, Arvis used the Force to silence his foot falls and then he went into the tent that his Doctor was in.

"Doctor Roberts." He said as he walked into the tent, throwing his hood back and revealing his face tattoos again. "Is everything prepared?" He said, pulling off his gauntlets, left then right, and laying them down on the counter that was beside him. He wanted to be done here as soon as possible. And when they were, he would make sure she destroyed the information.

@Dr. Ashlyn Roberts

She jumped up, her attention being taken elsewhere. The familiar voice called out to her, she turned around while her ponytail followed the movements of her head. Her assumption was right, it was the mysterious man she met in the woods; the pureblood. She immediately noticed his red skin, and his tattoos, it was a remarkable sight. She slowly stood up and walked closer towards him, examining them. "Hmm interesting. Hum yes, why don't you have a seat over here." She said motioning with her hands as she walked in another direction towards to grab a medium sized medical kit. Within contained some drugs, and vaccines she had been experimenting with. Each having different effects, and drawbacks...

"Now, remove your shirt." She said softly, yet with sternness. "Are you a force sensitive?" She said asking him while he proceeded with the necessary action. She began filling the needles with liquids of multiple colors.

@[member="Arvis Syphex"]

He went to where she indicated upon the chair. His, gauntlets already taken care of, he shrugged off his black robes that concealed most of his body. Only to begin taking off his armour, and he kicked it to the side once he had taken off the upper parts of his body.

Underneath, was his crimson chest. Designed, almost beautifully with the black tattoos that were characteristic of his people. To an untrained eye, it was art, maybe, but to a Sith who knew their language, it was a once forgotten Sith spell. At least the markings that were on his arms. Upon the rest of his body, he had yet to determine.

"I am force sensitive." He said in reply. His body was muscular, and all he did was watch as she prepared her tools.

@[member="Ashlyn Roberts"]

She had taken a particular interest to his tattoos, she walked over towards him and began to reach out, but stopped right before touching him. She was in an haunched over position, her glasses on with a small glare coming from them. "May I?" Indicating that she wanted to investigate his tattoos. She hadn't wanted to come off as intruding on his personal space. There was so much about his culture, his people that interested her. His body was covered, the black standing out amongst his crimson red skin. He was muscular which was expected from her examining his body before hand.

She began to run her hands along the markings closely examining them. She was so intrigued that she hadn't even payed much attention to the fact that he was here for something completely different. Squinting her eyes, she came to a tattoo in the center of his chest, hmm. She wasn't an expert on their language p, but it did seem to be telling a story, or perhaps it was some type of message or something they wanted to leave behind, or hide somewhere it wouldn't be found so easily.

"What caste are you from?"

(I just continued on with the examining of the tattoos, assuming you would say its okay.)
@[member="Arvis Syphex"]

He looked to her, letting the question process in his mind for a few moments before he nodded his head and said: "Yes. You may." He noted the expression on her face, though he didn't say anything. She would get to what he had come here for her to do eventually.

Arvis watched her face as she attempted to no doubt read what was on his chest, and he looked down as well. She wanted to know about his culture. He could explain it to her, though it would take more than one short night, and he doubted she could persuade him.

And then her last question almost shocked him out of his thoughts. He stared her in her eyes, despite her still looking at the markings on his chest. "The time of castes is long gone, Doctor." He said, almost as if he were sad. The name of 'caste' was gone from the vocabulary of the Sith of this time. But not to him. "I would be apart of the Kissai, however." He said thinking upon the words, and trying to pronounce it clearly, despite the fact that he spoke Basic perfectly. "If you know anything of the...Sith Empire, they are what you would call 'Sorcerors' and 'Alchemists'. But to my people, they were priests...Scientists almost." It took him a while to explain it however, he hadn't expected this conversation to sprout up.

"I want to be physically stronger. Like the warrior caste. Known as Massassi." Why should he not teach her a few words of his language? She could say whatever she wanted to her colleagues. It's not like they would believe her.

@[member="Ashlyn Roberts"]

She listened as she tried her best to make out whatever had covered his body. Seeing his posture change, she looked up at him, her blue eyes meeting his yellow ones. This must've been something he wasn't expecting, let alone talked about in a very long time. His answer would relive her assumption right, his voice had taken on a saddened tone; her intentions weren't to hurt him. When he gave her an answer as to what specific caste he would be apart of, he said the Kissai. Ahh she had only minimal knowledge of them, and the Massassi.

He eventually informed her more on what they're role would be. His answer sort of rejigger her memory. They were the priest, sorcerers to some. This was interesting. Oh how intriguing he was. She had to remain professional though, she was on the job of course. As she was still in a haunched position in front of him, she looked at him once more as he began to state exactly what he wanted to be done. To be strong like that of the Massassi, a warrior caste.

"Well I have a few enhancers right here, now I've been experimenting with these for quite some time. I wouldn't say they are completely safe, I would recommend the more natural way, but if you want the results quicker, then this is probably your best bet. I must say you will have to be cautious of the side effects." She said sternly, pushing her glasses on her face. She was aware that he wasn't exactly aligned with the good guys, but she couldn't pass this up, a chance to test these drugs/enhancers. She walked over, just a few feet away from him, putting gloves on.

He watched as she pulled away. The thought of this being a trap had never occurred to him. But the side effects intrigued him. He wanted to find out. "What are the side effects, Doctor?" He inquired, as she watched her ponytail swing around her body when she moved.

It occurred to him that she was beautiful. Or at the least, had some sort of allure to her. "Tell me your name, Doctor Roberts. Your first one." He said. It sounded as if it were a question, if you were to base it off of his tone. But it wasn't, it was more of a phrase with a silent command underlying it.

@[member="Ashlyn Roberts"] ((Yeah I changed my name to Darth Naefas! ))

She looked up after pulling down the the last part of the glove over her hand. It made a slight snapping sound as she turned her head towards him. She walked back over to him , and stood next the a table that held up the box. Well the effects were many, but the most prominent ones she has come to in counter she could tell.

"We'll the effect include, an increased risk of death, stroke, tumor recurrence, could cause you to become anemic, and some other severe off target effects." She said with a professional tone of voice, him being her patient she would have to be honest. She could have possibly experimented with them if she was given time to try and reduce the risk in the serums, but that wasn't the case.

Then he asked for her name, her first one that is. She wasn't trying to hide anything, and it couldn't hurt for him to know. "My name is Ashlyn," she said in response. She hadn't seen the significance of that information really.

@[member="Darth Naefas"]

He nodded his head when she came over to him. "You have a nice name." He said as if that was the last thing he was going to say. Might as well flatter her. "I suppose." He added later to cement the fact that he didn't care...completely. Any information was important. No matter the relevance to the situation.

He turned a little so that she could get to his arm better. He was almost excited that he was going to be enhanced. He wasn't going to be stronger physically. He was going to be able to move effortlessly. He wondered if whatever organization she was apart of was an enemy of the Empire.

"Who do you work for?"
